"Thanks for your help!" Rain in Cloudy Day joins them after the encounter. "You are bitten! You must be treated, else you will be turned like them." Rain is worried for Zepth.
"Why don't we get back to the enclave and have you treated." there is excitement in his voice. He then begins to tell his story without them asking.
"You see, I just finished my years of training at the schools of the Society’s Grand Lodge and I embarked on my Confirmation. After researching several old Pathfinder Chronicles, I found something that truly piqued my interest: the possibility of ancient ruins in Taldor’s Blackwood Swamp. Working with the Society’s Master of Scrolls, Kreighton Shaine, I came up with a Confirmation that appealed to me: exploring the Blackwood Swamp and cataloguing any possibility of some ancient settlement hidden within the morass. I secured a boat travelling from Absalom to the Taldan city of Cassomir, on the edge of the Blackwood Swamp. I planned to spend two days at an inn in Cassomir’s Imperial Naval Shipyards district. Following my stay in town, I planned to set out to explore the nearby swamplands, record what I could along the swamp’s outer edge, and then return to record my findings in Cassomir before catching a boat back to Absalom.
"But everything that could go wrong for me went wrong. After bad weather delayed my voyage to Cassomir, I ended up spending all my remaining gold on increased inn costs. During my one‑night stay in town, half of my provisions were stolen, along with the pack mule I had stabled at the inn. After that, the guide I hired to help me navigate the swamp never showed up. Following all of this, I still decided to brave the swamps with my low provisions, hoping beyond hope to uncover something within the Blackwood Swamp that could let me pass my Confirmation. But I got lost. I stumbled upon this enclave of lizardfolk, who mistook me for a smuggler and took me in for questioning, under suspicion of being connected to smugglers who have been causing them trouble. After determining my innocence, Chief Thakik gave me permission to explore the nearby area. I began to decipher what few markers remained on them. I soon learned that the settlement belonged to ancient Azlanti survivors from the time of Earthfall, and specifically appeared to be part of Nacar-Azen, an ancient Azlanti city-state. I shared my discoveries to Chief Thakik and the others here and they are glad to know what I discovered." he says, ending his tragic story with some hope to finish his Confirmation.

The Tengu then sizes up the leshy as the story telling evolves.
Perhaps, we can yet save your Confirmation.
The Oracle then finds a quiet place to sit, so as to argue with those loud Battle Spirits!

"Wow! That's exciting to hear! I hope the others are willing to do the same?" Rain gives a hopeful look to convince them to finish his confirmation.
They arrive at the enclave.
“Ah, I see you have reconnected with your fellow Pathfinder in-training. I wish this reunion could be under better circumstances.” Thakik pauses and looks back in the direction of the enclave.
“Our scouts report that the creatures that attacked came from a larger set of these ruins, deeper in the swamp. They emerged from a partially submerged structure, meaning we have no idea of the threat within—but we assume the site is quite dangerous. I know Rain in Cloudy Day has been interested in investigating these ruins, but the risk is too great. However, our enclave can’t afford to withstand more of these attacks.”
Thakik looks over the assembled group, as well as Rain. “Would you be willing to venture into this structure and find out what has agitated the creatures within?”
Rain pipes up with a hopeful smile. "I was just talking to them to finish my Confirmation and this good-natured tengu friend here agrees to help me. I want to explore the ruins and I believe they are the added protection necessary to make such a journey happen. I know the location of the larger ruin, which is only a few hours away. This will be hitting two birds with one stone: finish my Confirmation and help out the enclave!"
At this point, I need a majority vote if you agree or not to help Rain finish his Confirmation. It looks like Otani agrees to help Rain.

Moist interjects comments as Rain tells his story.
Guide never showed up? Oh, you never pay in full up front! Then why would they show? You still went out with such low provisions? Hmm... you were lucky to run into the lizardfolk. It seems they've proved most helpful.
Just then three multi-colored bananas pass through his view, causing him to double take.
Wait... black banana? Is that still good?!? Don't eat it! But we could salvage banana bread from it with an oven!
Turning back to Rain...
Yes, of course we all wish to help. We are all Pathfinders after all.

Rain jumps with joy as more Pathfinders agree to help him with his Confirmation. The chief invites them over to rest for now before they depart tomorrow to continue their mission.
"We have extra beds prepared in an unused hut for every one of you to sleep in." she tells them. She also invites Rain and the Pathfinders to join a group including herself and Kazuuk for dinner, a meal that includes turtle soup and a sweet dish made of nuts and berries. The iruxi also serve Rain a dish of dead leaves and decaying swamp moss, which he consumes with gusto.

The chief raises an eyebrow after hearing Moist calling them 'crazy lizards', either offended or amused with the grippli's curiosity.
"The swamp provides us some catfish, and a variety of ducks if we want meat. Most are grilled under fire, but we also cook them with broth. I hope you find our turtle soup appetizing."
Kazmuk responds to Hanu's question. "Play? Hmmm... Not much to do leisurely here. We are often busy scouting the area around for threats, specially with the recent events. Maybe you can teach us something!"
---
The night is uneventful and everyone has a good night rest. Thankfully, Zepth does not fall ill with the wound he got from the ghoul.
As promised, the journey to the ruins is only a 2-hour hike through the swamp, and Rain in Cloudy Day leads the way.
Once they arrive at the ruin, a polished tan white stone stairway leads down into a large, worked chamber made of similar styled stone. Stairs ascend along the chamber’s northern end to a raised platform. Two halls branch from the raised area, one to the north covered in debris, while the other to the west connects to a wider hall heading north. A sealed stone door to the east bars access beyond. A large crack along the eastern wall of the lower section continues into a damp cavern replete with the smell of flora.
"Good thing the chief gave me this torch!" Rain activates the everburning torch to shed light upon their entry to the chamber.
Their arrival thought seems to disturb what is lurking inside the chamber!

Rain will talk to the mold as requested and I will use Moist's Diplomacy for the first mold, Rybar's for the second, and Hanu's attempt for the last one.
"Sure, yes! Just tell me what you want to say and I will relay your message." Rain tells them and listens to their words for him to translate to the molds that they encounter on their way deeper the ruins.
"We can tell them we are not here to hurt them," he suggests. Succes for the first brown mold."
"No problem avoiding them but talking to them won't hurt, I think?" he responds to Olegaro's advice.
He also sends Rybar's message that they are not going to hurt them. Success for the second brown mold.
When it comes to the third brown mold, it is blocking their narrow way. I forgot to tell where everyone is on the Map and where these molds are.
Hanu fails to remove it at first, but achieves to do it the second attempt. Whatever cold damage he gets, his vitality is replenished by his wonderful banana of healing.
The small chamber close to the hole leading into the area where they came from contains a small, unlocked metal chest. The chest contains several precious emerald gemstones worth a total of 25 gp, as well as a single dusty rose prism aeon stone.
Rain in Cloudy Day finds a small entrance in the eastern walls that seems to lead to other subterranean sites.
"I think we should take note of these passages in our report and move on for now to find the source of attacking creatures." he advises them. "I can say that the tunnels beyond are proof that there are more Azlanti ruins nearby. This discovery alone confirms my suspicions." he realizes.
Moving on, they arrive at a large circular chamber. A massive stone column ten feet wide rises from the tiled floor of this circular chamber. Strange glyphs dance along the column, pulsing with dull green light, though many of the glyphs wink in and out of existence as though malfunctioning. The ceiling here ascends twenty feet from the floor. Collapsed stone debris prevents the use of two connecting halls to the west and southwest, while breaks in the eastern walls open the area to an adjacent network of caves. A single five-foot-wide hall exits to the north.

Hanu looks to make his way towards the column, but stops himself.
He looks at Olegaro (Acrobatics +6, Athletics +8) and Zepth (Acrobatics +7, Thievery +6) and says "See you, that cloud can. Careful"
