The stone wall does not have any sign of being repaired or damage. That is, before Abaal start chipping it away with his black blade. The liquid flow through the crack and into the gutter and drains away. After lowering the surface of the liquid for a few inches, Decemvirate suit test shows that the liquid is no longer acidic.
If you have a container that won't be corroded by acid, such as glass vial, you may collect these acid for future use.
Pathfinders, how would you like to approach the non-acidic pool of liquid?
Zartan Samuel |
My feather token swan boat is a special one from a chronicle. It comes with some stuff inside. I'll check for anything to hold acid after work.

Emerging from the murky depths of the underwater passageway, monstrous crab-like creatures come into view when Abaal and Elby enters the water. Those who lurks beneath the passageway strike out with incredible speed, and Abaal is bit by one of them that swims closer to the Pathfinders. 8 HP damage to Abaal
For reference, the pool itself (light color part) is only 10ft deep, and the passage way (black circle) is too deep and too dark to determine its depth without getting in there. If one is 5ft below the surface, that means his/her head is at about same level as pool's surface and their feet is at 5ft deep; 10ft below means that you're standing on the bottom of the pool, and your head is 5ft below water.

GM_Colin |
You woundn't have charge lane to the red crab since the red crab is 10ft below the water. But a move to jump in and attack will work. Are you throwing the javelin or using it as melee? Assuming you're throwing it:
Javelin in hand, Kali rush forward and aims to cast it into the dangerous waters. With an eager swing, she inadvertently flung her arm backward, only to find the javelin lodged firmly in the stone wall behind her.

They resist fire and electricity, and can shoot ink about 30’, that provides total concealment in water and lasts about a minute. Outside of water that same ink can blind an opponent!

Abaal swings his black sword at the Tojanida and managed to leave a small crack on its shell. Abaal can feel the fluid resistance hindering his arm movement, which make his swing less effective than it usually is.
Slashing and/or Bludgeoning weapon only deal half damage underwater, without Freedom of Movement or similar magical aid. Piercing weapon will do full damage. The pool's inner wall can provide firm footing, reducing the attack penalty to -2. Those who doesn't have a swim speed need to pass a DC 10 swim check to avoid losing balance underwater (lose dex to AC, enemy got +2 to attack you)
Two other Tojanidas swim up and tried to swarm Elby, but their sharp fang is blocked by her trusty armor. She is unfazed.

For someone who claims not to speak English very well, you are already proving yourself a great combat-narrator.
Kali's face remains stoic after her clownish attempt at spear-fishing catches only wall-eye; if there's one thing Kali's training taught her, it's how to sublimate one's torments and channel them constructively - i.e., to take them out on another.
Oh look, one of those things is now just about at boot-level with her....
Spending 1 Ki for another attack, all against Deep Blue; I'm not sure if I'm suffering physical damage penalty due to water, since it would appear to be bobbing at the surface and I'm not in the water at all. Also, let me know if I'm wrong about any of the bonuses I'm tallying up below:
+1 Vicious hasted, high-ground, flanking BOOT TO THE HEAD!!!: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
miss chance? low means hit: 1d100 ⇒ 4
magic/cold iron/silver bludgeoning damage plus Vicious: 1d10 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 5 + (2, 1) = 16
Belier's Bite bleed damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Vicious damage to self: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Employing grim secrets of the Chelaxian monastic tradition, Kali's infernal beatings begin to draw no small amount of blood, a sight that instills in her a further unholy euphoria!
Assuming the above hits:
+1 Vicious Ki Flurry, haste, high-ground, flank, and now...CRUELTY!: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
That surely hits; if Cruelty bonuses don't apply to this, they still do to the rest

If you punch people from land, you won't have the penalty because air is not slowing your fist down. So normal damage. However, the +8 AC from improved cover is still there.
Attacks from Land: Characters swimming, floating, or treading water on the surface, or wading in water at least chest deep, have improved cover (+8 bonus to AC, +4 bonus on Reflex saves) from opponents on land.

Zaigan tries to swim over his friends behind the remaining tojanida.
Swim: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 2 = 18
GM_Colin |
Zaigan, with that swim check you can move 5ft over and be adjacent to the crab with a single move action. What would you like to do with your action?
The teams make decent progress in beating down the lone surviving Tojanida, who is still trying to EAT YOU ALL. Abaal and Elby managed to land a hit on the crab, while Zartan is struggling with the mutual hatred between him and the inky water.
I hate it when the firewall somehow block Outlook service and I can't access the formatted initiative tracker on Microsoft Sticky Note from my MacBook

Bold are up, I believe Ashwell have 2 turn worth of actions, if you wish to do anything else other than watching the pool party.

Momentary rewind here:
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
As the tojanida beneath Kali's bootheels collapses, the water between them momentarily takes on a mysterious and unnerving sheen, like some errant current running from the former to the latter...
At the moment of Blue's "fall", I both use my Soul-Drinker trait (effectively subtracting Blue's HD from the damage I then took from Yellow), and reclaim 1 Ki!

Swim to move 5 feet?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Kali emits a short, bubble-intensive cry of pain (as well as, perhaps, something else that it's best not to dwell on?) as the remaining foe gets in one good nip, and retaliates...

The undine provides emotional support as Kali causes more internal bleeding to the Tojanida.
The crab fights for its life, and launches a flurry of natural attacks to Zartan, the sound of chitin hitting Zartan's Celestial Armor can be hear clearly under water. No Zartan is hurt in the process.

No mention of the Acrobatics roll you requested?
Belier's Bite bleed damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Kali replies to Ashwell with an ominous dead-on stare, yet remains silent above the neck while the rest of her relentlessly stomps the yellowish turtle-crab beneath her in a manner that surely defies all comparison to any famous adventurer to have ever come before....
