If there's one thing that's good against adamantine, it's adamantine.
+1 Greyflame Impact Shrinking Adamantine Lucerne Hammer, Power Attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
Bludgeoning Damage: 3d6 + 11 + 9 ⇒ (3, 6, 3) + 11 + 9 = 32
Both snakes are within reach, but going for Green first.

If there's one thing that's good against adamantine, it's adamantine.
Metallic shattering noise fills the room as the adamantine lucerne hammer collides with the snake's adamantine scales, as if the very essence of the metal is being pushed to its limits. Elby realize that your adamantine hammer failed to penetrate the hardness of adamantine as adamantine only go through hardness less than 20, but adamantine itself is hardness 20, which is why it's DR 10/-, but the sheer impact force of her swing crushes the green snake.
In the meantime, Zartan circles around the snake and sends his gladius precisely into the fine gap between its scales. The snake coils in reaction to the wound but does not goes down.
Zaigan's scimitar, however, bounces off its scale without leaving any dent.

Abaal's sword slices through the air, and only the air Ouch, that's 2 misses, making some very cool sounds. Meanwhiles, multiple blue missiles comes from above and BBBBBang! bombard the snake to death.
Combat is over!
You don't find anything underneath the carpet or in the mouth of those faces on the wall. Nothing on the snake either, it's a shame that they don't have pockets on them.
There're lingering magic aura from the various traps and spells. Besides that, there's the green light pillar on the other side of the room, emitting strong conjuration aura.
What would you like to do now, Pathfinders?
Ashwell
|
”It looks like Conjuration magic, which I’d guess means there is a summoning spell attached to the pillar. Probably bringing in some nasty demon or such…”

"That's fine with me. I'm looking forward to something squishier to hit."

Ash continues peering down from above and targets the remaining enemy. He again casts Magic Missile at the creature."Sniper." Abaal says to Ashwell and flashes a wry smile.
Looks like Abaal needs a bandage or two first....

He quaffs a small potion and seems ready to continue.

Abaal looks at the huge faces in the alcoves. "And who do you suppose these are supposed to be?"
The response is silence, as if you are talking to a wall.
I've moved Ashwell and Abaal's token to 60ft away from the light pillar, which is the range of Detect Magic
The pillar of light is about 5ft in diameter, which a medium creature can probably fit in. The pillar itself is semi-transparent, throught it you can see the walls behind the light pillar. The tall, emtpy room echoes your voices.

"Let's get closer so we will find answer what is it." Zaigan says
Zartan Samuel
|
At that point we might as well head through. I don't see any other way out.
Zartan takes point again and makes sure everyone is following on his heels before stepping into the light.
| GM_Colin |
The moment Zartan stepped into the green beam of light, its brightness suddenly intensified, blindingly so. After the green light dissipated, Zartan had vanished without a trace. There is no sign of him in the room.
The light fades away, and you find yourself standing in a different room. exiting from another green light column. The curved walls of this chamber are covered in a wavy pattern made up of tiny blue stones. Opposite you is a large, oblong pool of liquid from which emanates an acrid stench.
New map is up for you in position 2.
Elbesamiya dy Bulaka
|
"Wow, that was rash, even for me. Time to go over the rainbow, I suppose." Elby enters the light, and, assuming she is not disintegrated, calls out "You ever consider being a paladin? Fighter, maybe?"
| GM_Colin |
Elby and Ashwell vanished in the light as well. Those who remains in the multi-face hall can only hear "You ever consider being a-" from Elby before she disappeared.
The illumination diminishes, and you discover yourself in an alternate chamber, having emerged from yet another green light beam. The walls of this room possess a curved design adorned with minuscule blue stones arranged in undulating patterns. Across from you lies a sizable, elongated pool filled with liquid, emitting a pungent odor. The pool has a oily sheen on its surface.
New map is up in position 1. Those who follow them can read the above passage as well since copy and paste it 4 times is not fun.
And nothing in the room trigger Zartan's 6th sense, by the way

Kali watches as three of her collegues march in succession to an unknown fate.
She vaguely recalled hearing a long and dreadful tale that, somewhere along the way, involved a door that sent passersthrough to literally nowhere.
They wouldn't...would they? She ponders with a split-second look back in the direction of the door to the entryway.
She hesitates only a moment, however; squeezing her chains tight around her, she follows through the portal with monastic obedience.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Kali seems entirely unsurprised upon arrival to the other side (even a tad disappointed); in fact, she's alarmingly quick to pick up on what's now around her.
She points to the far side of the pool before them with an arm motion so quick it jingles and clanks with her chains.
"I think perhaps we are meant to go down there...."
| GM_Colin |

You see Marcos Farabellus waving you guys goodbye, with a smile on his face as if he's watching someone sends their friends into the haunted house in a carnival.
"You will be fine! Remember your training! Good luck!" He gives you a thumbs up and close the green door.
Abaal Zadeir, Sword of Katapesh

"Let it never be said that the Daring Sword of Katapesh was ever daunted by mere light." Abaal heroically dives in... probably jouncing Ashwell and/or Elby.

Last to go through, Zaigan appears on the other side. Seeing Abaal dive in, he follows.

Ashwell

”I speak aquan as well, Zartan. Do you see writing somewhere?”
Ash detects magic, as he sees two others already into the pool. ”Perhaps they should have waited for us to do some investigation ,” he grumbles, but is a bit excited waiting to see what happens.
| GM_Colin |
I think Abaal means that he dives in the light pillar, not the pool, since he bumped into Ashwell and Elby on his way out of the green pillar in the other room.
Ashwell (and probably Abaal) scan the room. Nothing light up on the radar from the pool. All you can detect is the Conjuration aura from the green pillar.
The pool sits inside a 1-foot-tall stone wall, and is filled right up to the rim. There's a small gutter around the edge of the pool that catches any overflows, should one wants to jump right in.
That being said, Zaigan, would you like to dive into the pool?
Zartan Samuel

No writing, but if we have to dive in it will be nice to be able to communicate.

Right. He might scan the area for magic, but only if he doesn't notice that Ashwell is already at it.
No writing, but if we have to dive in it will be nice to be able to communicate.

Watching from over Zartan's shoulder, Abaal watches as well.

"Um, Zartan, what are we looking at exactly?"
Abaal Zadeir, Sword of Katapesh

He turns to Ashwell. "Wizard, ensorcell us to be able to breathe the water, or whatever that liquid is."
Abaal retrieves a bit of bread from his rations and dips a corner in the "water".
Zaigan Greenwood

He turns to Ashwell. "Wizard, ensorcell us to be able to breathe the water."
Shortly before jumping, Zaigan remembers he doesn't know how deep the pool is and how long he has to hold breath. "Indeed, anything that helps us breathe under water even just a little is now appreciated." he waits Ashwell to answer
| GM_Colin |

A character who has no air to breathe can hold her breath for 2 rounds per point of Constitution. If a character takes a standard or full-round action, the remaining duration that the character can hold her breath is reduced by 1 round. After this period of time, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check in order to continue holding her breath. The check must be repeated each round, with the DC increasing by +1 for each previous success.
When the character fails one of these Constitution checks, she begins to suffocate. In the first round, she falls unconscious (0 hit points). In the following round, she drops to –1 hit points and is dying. In the third round, she suffocates.
So about 24 rounds/ two-ish minutes for Zaigan. Do note that swimming at half of your base/land speed (if you don't have swim speed) is a full-round action. Move action swim is quarter speed.
Abaal retrieves a bit of bread from his rations and dips a corner in the "water".
Upon contact with the liquid's surface, the bread instantaneously begins to sizzle. In a fraction of a second, it undergoes complete dissolution, leaving behind a handful of bubbles atop the liquid's surface, along with the release of noxious fumes that waft towards Abaal.
Ashwell, Zartan, and Abaal recognize that what you just witnessed is the behavior of strong acid.

"Perhaps there is something here we could use to render it inert.... What about the strange stretchy costumes?"
| GM_Colin |
Zartan checks the room, but failed to find any other exit besides the passageway at the bottom of the pool, and the green light pillar, if it works just like the pillar in the other room.
The walls of this room possess a curved design adorned with minuscule blue stones arranged in undulating patterns. Across from you lies a sizable, elongated pool filled with liquid, emitting a pungent odor. The pool has a oily sheen on its surface. The pool sits inside a 1-foot-tall stone wall, and is filled right up to the rim. There's a small gutter around the edge of the pool that catches any overflows. On the far side of the calm pool, there appears to be a pssageway at the bottom, leading down into the darkness.
Zartan Samuel
|
An easy test first then... Oh, and hold your breath.
Zartan lights one of his swords on fire and quickly stabs it into the oily sheen.
| GM_Colin |
The liquid quickly quenches the fire on the sword without having any further reaction. The sword managed to survive the corrosion this time.
Zartan and others, with their Engineering knowledge if you're trained in it, know that if there's a drain to the pool, the passageway in the bottom of the pool would have drain all its content already, which is not the case here.
Elbesamiya dy Bulaka

"Perhaps only the near side is acidic." Elby tosses a stone across the pool, into the area we are expected to descend.
Ashwell
|
”I don’t know a water breathing spell, but I do have a wand with just a few charges of air bubble on it, so whoever goes first shouldn’t drown. But there has to be a trick up here for us to figure out. Has anyone checked those blue stones? Maybe they can be removed and will do something with the pool,” Ash suggests as he moved to a wall and examined it.
| GM_Colin |
Elby hurls a stone into the the center of the pool. Upon contact with the liquid, the stone's surface start to dissolved. The corrosive effect ceases as the stone sinks a few inches down, and you watch the heavily damaged rock quietly descents into the darkness of the underwater passage.
The impact of the stone creates a series of ripples that radiate outward from the point of entry. These ripples disturb the surface of the liquid, causing it to slosh and surge at the pool's edge. A small amount of the liquid spills over the rim, and flows into the gutter. A tiny hole near wall drains away the overflow in the gutter.
Pathfinders observed that the pool's content is not corrosive a couple inches below its surface.
Zartan dip the suit's cuff into the acid, it sizzles and burns just like Abaal's poor piece of bread.
Zaigan Greenwood
|
Zaigan's jaw drops a little as he watches rock and bread crump dissolve. "There has to be other ways than having a specific tool for every situation. I'm thinking of a telekinetic spell if anyone can use such magic."
Elbesamiya dy Bulaka
|
"You need me to make a hole? I can make holes."
Ashwell
|
”Could we displace the top layer of acid by dumping something heavy into the pool? If it drains out, perhaps that would do the trick?”. Ash looks around for a heavy item that could be tossed into the pool.
”Will that 1’ small wall move? That might be enough to displace the acid if it does…”
| GM_Colin |
”Will that 1’ small wall move? That might be enough to displace the acid if it does…”
The 1 ft wall is the wall that surround the pool, containing the liquid. There's gutter around the wall to catch the overflow.
The team comes up with 2 solutions to deal with the acid on the surface:
1, Break a notch on the wall of this pool to let the liquid flow out,
2, Add content/substance into the pool to displace volume and cause the liquid to overflow.
Both Elby and Abaal have adamantine weapon that can easily chip away the wall that contain the pool.
Unfortunaly there isn't any giant rock or loose object lying around the room. You either need to work with something you have it on yourself, or create the "thing" yourself...

"We could get one or more of the deans to help with that." ;)
"Do not the Deans have a table?" Abaal says through a mouthful of bread.
"Assuming of course this isn't a one way portal" he adds and indicates the green light.
Abaal peers down at the edge of the stone lip for any sign of repair since he figures that this test is probably not new. perception: 1d20 ⇒ 11
"Also, our wizard" he says indicating the psychic, "could freeze the top-most layer of acid with a spell and we could just remove or burrow through that."
Without anything better to do once the bread is gone, Abaal reaches for his black bladed sword and begins to score the top of the stone lip allowing enough of the liquid to flow into the trough to fill it, but no more.
"Does anyone have a glass vial? Something larger than a potion vial?"
