Astrid causes the palace guard to begin shaking as she quickly carves the skelms chest up, spilling fresh blood across the floor.

Dranald's divine lance burns through the other palace guards body as it causes him to scream out in discomfort.

Arrus knows these palace guards to be palace skelm. Skelms crave power, and the palace skelms who stalk the halls where such power concentrates are among the most dangerous of their kind. They assume titles that allow them maximum freedom to punish or hurt others with minimal oversight: any vindictive guard captain, tyrannical viceroy, or needlessly cruel magistrate could be or become a palace skelm. Quite weak against cold iron.

With the cruel and rage-filled desires of Bremix, when the hag's powers tried to take Narcela over they seems to latch onto Bremix's sorrow and rage, turning him into a skelm as well judging by the antlers.

Arrus' bolt misses as it sticks into the Gale's Claw. Ukh's bolt seems to miss its target even worse as it flies straight into the air. Patrick has a hard time keeping his own emotions in check as he seems to have lost all magical ability.

The skelm back off as they both begin to try and incite you. "This is a fools quest. Join Aslynn and she will no longer haunt your dreams." Green provokes an AoO from Astrid.

Patrick is actually wondering if he isn't already in an Aslynn induced nightmare. Certainly his magic has been taken away but, that big scary woman with the sword isn't attacking him. Nor is the other pretty woman cowering in the corner. Patrick feels that she needs protecting, not quite sure who from, but most likely from those antler headed fiends nearby.

Grr! Looking back at my post I see that I used the wrong number for my will save. Astrid's will save is only +16, not +19. She actually failed both saves so no moving or striking though the AoO should still go through.

Astrid kills the skelm as it tries to retreat, but quickly becomes fascinated by the sudden violence. Green would die from the AoO before its DC 22 Incite Violence would happen.

Dranalds diviene lance continues to open the intenal wounds bigger and bigger. Ukh joins Astrid in the fascination, it reminds him of home. Patrick suppresses his mind and pushes past the violence but his spells still don't function. I feel bad Patrick, those rolls are nuts.

With green down before its Incite Violence went off Arrus and Jiki are still up if Jiki wishes to retcon his turn.

Keep the sound burst, but Jiki's third action will be his worse song (which says a lot, considering how his singing usually is).

Arrus reloads his crossbow and misses as the skelm dodges out of the way. Jiki frightens the lone palace guard with a dirge he makes up on the spot as the group slowly surrounds the skelm.

Fort DC 26: 1d20 + 19 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 19 - 1 = 19

Jiki screams and the palace guard collapses as the skelm bleeds from its ears.

With the guards defeated you grab Bremix's unconscious body and toss it onto the Gale's Claw to promptly escape. The dark curse seems to leave Bremix as it forms into a hardened heartstone lying o the deck. Narcela picks it up and hands it to Jiki. "Keep this safe."

Jiki activates the Gale's Claw and flies out of the castle where you return to Golarion and the Material Plane, just above Evni's carriage.

Venture-Captain Evni Zongnoss is thrilled to meet any Ardis Scholars the PCs bring back, as well as to glean any information she can about Aslynn’s plans. Mustering the shocked Scholars into some semblance of organization as she leads them into the house.

Revecka stands at the door and puts a hand to her shocked face as Narcela steps off the Gale's Claw. They rush to each other in excitement, embracing each other as this is the first time as the two planes-crossed lovers meet in person for the first time, both eager to better know each other and help each other recover from their recent troubles.

The next day Evni gathers you in her carriage and debriefs them. "The Horizon Hunters will be grateful for this Multiversal navigator. Get some rest, I am afraid you may be needed sooner than we think."

That is the end of the scenario. I will work on getting chronicles out. Please feel free to roleplay as much as you desire.

Jiki gives the couple some time to get [re]acquainted before offering to play for them should they decide to take the next step.

Patrick is still feeling rather unsettled after all of this, but, after a session with Kyra, he gets all his conditions removed and is delighted that he now has his magic back.

I was so sure that I had lost it for good he admits and that scared me more than it should.

He also decides to give the new couple some space but does make some appointments with Fola Braun for further counselling. He also resolves to be more sociable in order to increase the chance of finding his own soul mate - he just has to figure out how.

So where is Aslynn now? With all the time we hear about her when will we have the pleasure to defeat her?

Astrid is none too careful as she carries the unconscious body of Bremix onto the ship. She apologizes unconvincingly to his inert form as she 'accidentally' adds a few extra minor bruises by bumping into various obstacles on the ship. Eventually she tires of this game and dumps his body in a corner to recuperate.

Heading to the ship's bridge she begins issuing orders to her henchman and anyone else she happens to see. "Let's get out of here. Hoist the mizzenmast! Cast off the jib. Lower the starboard." She is having a grand time stealing Aslynn's ship and doesn't let her lack of nautical knowledge get in the way of her fun. "Someone see if you can find any paint aboard this scow. We need to give her a new name. What do you think? 'Hagsbane' maybe? Or how about 'The Stolen Dream?'No, wait. Hag's Nightmare?'" She spends the remainder of the voyage brainstorming new ship names.

Afterwards she invites everyone to her favorite tavern in Ardis, The Sleeping Unicorn, where she holds court and gives a wildly exaggerated account of the the adventure. While she gives the rest of the party their due it's pretty clear that Astrid is the star of the story.

Patrick is rather surprised and delighted to receive an invite and is quite content to let Astrid have the centre of attention in the retelling. After all. his own contribution had been a bit ... lacking.
