"Eep!" Sam squeaks, as she sees this massive ... thing ... charge her new friends. She backpedals rapidly, trying to get out of the way, instinctively tugging on Bitty, trying to pull her heroine out of danger. "Bitty, get back!" she says, tugging on the blue gnome. Once out of reach, she regains some of her composure. Jabbering some magic words, she moves her arms as if throwing a bucket of sand at the creature's feet.

Ashun recognizes this as a giant short-faced bear, as he had thought earlier from the description given him.. Seeing it, he now recalls they are also able to rush a target and attack as part of the charge.
When he tries to calm the bear, he realizes it is too hungry to pay attention. Right now, all it sees them as is food.
Ami is able to hit the bear with her blast.

Galvaka just happily looks about the lake and is utterly caught off guard as the bear charges full force. Still she seems still enthusiastic about the idea of combat, but that is tempered a bit as she see how quickly it was to maul Sam.
Readying her knife Galvaka steps alongside Corabee as she calls out part of the Pathfinder motto. "Cooperation! You won't eat any of us! Go away!"
She arcs lightning into her blade as she tries to drive it into the beast.

Galvaka is not excited to see how quick the creature is to grab and throw. She channels some energy to create a minor shield while taking portions of that energy to sharpen her blade and make herself faster.
She immediately uses that speed to leap through dimensions, vanishing only to reappear behind the beast, to stab it with a wild swing.

Galvaka moves forward, she is inclined to barrel into the gave, but she keeps her distance with the others as she gauges to see how resilient the bear is against freezing temperatures.
