The iguana looks confused at first, as if that was not what he was expecting, but slowly gives in to the scritches and relaxes a bit.

"Is Ashun around?"

The lizard just lightly moves his arms, or was it his head? Either way, it either appears that he doesn't know or doesn't care.

When the old gnome picks up and starts looking for where to read in the book, the reptile pays focused attention to him.

Excerpt from Bitisururu and the Pirate Queen

As the old gnome finishes reading, the oversized gecko looks both uninmpressed and interested, but goes back to lying on the floor.

And then, a fourth gnome walks into the room. And the iguana stares at him, trying assess his adjective.

Ah .... hi .... says the blunette nervously and shyly I'm Ami - water kineticist ... as to what happened to me? *she blushes* Well there was a tug of war, an obstacle course and then a battle. I ... didn't do too well so I've had to train more. I ... just need to rest up a bit.

Ashun is too busy organizing the mural rubbings to notice Bea is gone.

"Well, welcome Ami. I'm Corabee - or Bee as I like to be called." Bee looks around a bit. "It's too bad I don't see Ashun here. He is pretty good at healing people when someone doesn't do so well in battle. Though Branch can do wonders with bandages too."

Uh huh ... well I'll just rest here for a bit although, to be honest, I'd rather be in water

The blue wingless non-fire-breathing small dragon cousin approaches the tired gnome and tugs slightly at her, then looks to her face, as if awaiting for something.

Bea gets scritched

After a few minutes of relaxing, the iguana gets up to leave.

A couple minutes pass and he's back with his pet

Ashun appears, out of breath and worried
"What happened!? Is someo--"
Four gnomes and a mouse(-y girl) are sitting in a table, relaxing and calmly talking to each other.

He blushes purple, sighs and looks stressed to Bea
"Okay Bea, very funny."
The blue changeling bows down to the other two, with a gentle pose and smile.
"It is a pleasure meeting you both, my name is Ashun. And you must be Macondi, although we may have not met personally, I must say I am quite glad to see such a famous write here.", he looks to the blue haired gnome with a nod, "And you lady, what is your name, if I may ask?"

"Okay Bea, very funny."

Galvaka steps forward and looks to the others as she joins the conversation. "Oh yes, they are very good at healing. I've gotten a lot of scrapes living along, but they were able to heal a lot of worst I got."

She introduces herself with a wave as she comes to the table with a loaf of bread.

Ami she says quietly.

Shyly, Sam approaches Macondi and asks him to sign her book, which she had just purchased at her favorite bookstore.

"Uh, sure. I can sign your book." Macondi opens the book to the back cover and sees his own picture there. "Wait, I wrote this?" Macondi signs his name. "I guess that would be why you want me to sign it."

"Umm. Why does Bitty want to murder you?"

"Umm. Why does Bitty want to murder you?"

"Oh yeah. I promised I would set up a ring for the two of you." Bee looks around again and sees Ashun. "Ah, good. You are here. You ready for a bit of healing?"

Startled, Macondi drops the book while handing it back to Samantha. "Wait, what?"

Ashun bows slightly once again to Ami
"Pleasure meeting you Ami. I hope my friends have not bothered you much.", he jests, but exhales a smile after Galvaka's note, "Makes me glad that that is how you see me, Galvaka. But I just am not a fan of seeing my friends hurt, so I try what I can to keep them in top health."

After Macondi gives the book back signed to Sam, "You are a very esteemed writer, Macondi, specially according to Samantha. The series Adventures of Bitisuru sound very compelling, and would love to read them in other eyes, given I have participated in some of them"

"Considering this could be solved with diplomacy, I would argue against infighting. However, in case services are needed, Indeed I would not not help. My oath is to help whenever I can."

She is also wondering what is going on, looking concerned.

Meanwhile, Bitty is rolling up her sleeves and balling her fists. "Macondi! How could you!"

"Umm... Carefully? Carelessly? Yeah, probably carelessly. What did I do?"

Ashun starts preparing his medical bag and sighs a light chuckle
"Kids these days... Such a lively bunch…"

"We grew up together! You're my brother's best friend!" Suddenly, Bitty deflates, and her draconic tail droops.

"I thought you were mine, too."

"Well, yeah. You are almost a sister. What's wrong?"

Sam prepares to dive out of the way of the coming brawl, until she hears Bitty's confession. Again her eyes widen and her jaw drops.

This has to be a record of how many times Sam gets totally shocked by what's happening to her hero...

All Sam manages to do is softly gasp out one word... "EEP!"

"Then why did you write all these books about me without asking me first? Bitisururu and the Pirate Queen. Bitisuru and Rock Stew! Bitisururu and the Missing Dinosaurs! Bitisururu and her faithful Egg!"

Egg looks up at the sound of his name, and then realizes that no food or danger is being offered, and goes off to play with Bea.

Realizing that she's standing between Bitty and Macondi, Sam sidesteps out of the way. She makes her way to where Egg is playing with Bea and watches the dinosaur carefully.

"Umm. Hi. You must be Bamidele?"

"Your stories are awesome. Hearing about your adventures is what made me want to join the Pathfinder Society too." Macondi stops and thinks for a second or two. "Did I never actually talk to you about it first? I know I ran through the conversation in my mind about eighty-seven different ways. But I thought I had at least one of them actually out loud with you at some point. Sorry about that. But yeah, you are one of my heroes. I just wanted to let you be other people's hero too."

Bee shakes his head. "Man, are you sure you wouldn't rather just get in a ring and let her stab you repeatedly?"

Sam looks up at Macondi's admission. She returns to stand by Bitty. To his surprise, her shy demeanor seems to vanish. "I love your stories. And Bitty's my hero too! She's why I joined the Pathfinders too! But you should have asked her if it was ok! My parents made me go to the wizard's academy without asking me. It made me feel so bad! But if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have known about Bitty... " Sam trails off, then blushes, realizing that she's spoken too much. She retreats back to where she watches Egg and Bea...

Since the adults are busy, Bea is showing off the tasty colorful liquids that Ashun hides in his backpack to Bamidele.

Egg looks up at Sam's comment, but once again, no food or danger was offered, so he goes back to helping Bea go through Ashun's backpack. He sticks his head all the way in.

"Chirrrrrp?

Bitty sits down, hard. Her tail curls protectively around her. "But... I don't know what I'm doing half the time. I'm just winging it, and relying on my friends. Does reading about my adventures really help other people?"

Macondi sits down next to Bitty. "It helps me. Half the time I don't even know what is going on, much less what to do about it. Knowing that there are other people who are the same way and still do awesome things is encouraging. Maybe I can be awesome too. Especially if I have good friends around to help me out."

Ashun lightly taps Bitty's shoulder, trying to comfort her
"I can not speak for everyone, and although I do understand that it can be awkward having your deeds written and spread in a tale, Macondi appears to do it with heart and embelishes your actions whenever he can. So for those reading, they can feel the moment and get inspired by your heroic words and feats. As both Sam and Macondi said they were."
He looks at the gnome writer and back at the gnome dragon
"Mayhaps there might be a compromise to be found, and Bitty and review the ballads before Macondi publishes?"

Just then Ambrus Valsin comes into the room. Looking around, he says “I heard shouting. Is there a problem?”

"Not really," Bee shrugs. "A bit of sibling trouble. For a minute there I thought we were going to set up a gladiator ring. But it looks like that is off the table now."

"What's up?"

Smiling broadly, Ambrus says “I’ve a new assignment that requires some agents. Looks like I’ve found some volunteers.”

He sorts through a pouch and gets out some papers. Looking through them, he pulls one out and says “This should do. Good opportunity to cool things off.”

He hands each of you a boat ticket and gives Sam a map. “Report to Venture-Captain Bjersig Torrsen in Iceferry. They will give your the full mission description.”

Satisfied, he walks out of the room. You might be able to catch him if you hurry, but he obviously considers the conversation over.

Looking at the map she was handed, Sam realizes the group is headed to the Land of the Linnorm Kings.

He gives a look at the tickets, and back to the party
"Is everyone going?"

Macondi takes the new mission papers. He goes to put it in his little notebook he keeps his mission paperwork in, but finds that the folder for the papers is already full. "Oh drat. Oh bother. Umm... I'm supposed to be reporting to Valsin right now." He stares indecisively between the new papers and the old ones for a second or three. Then looks up at the doorway that Ambrus just left through. "Uh, sorry Bitty. And sorry again. But I have to go. I'll catch up with you more later."

Macondi runs out of the room trying to chase down Ambrus.

"But..." Bitty watches him go, and shakes her head. "Doesn't he know that Ambrus and Valsin are the same person? I grew up with him, and he's still confusing!"

The changeling nods to the gnome writer as he's leaving
"It is okay, I hope we can get to talk more in the future, Macondi. Good luck!"

He takes another quick glance to the documents
"I do not know much of Ice ferry, but I think we may need some cold protection given the name. "

"Doesn't he know that Ambrus and Valsin are the same person?"

Bee chuckles a bit. "Probably not. His memory doesn't seem to work so well. I'm a bit surprised he can remember his own name." He picks up the dropped book and opens it to the back cover. "From the look of it, I'm actually not convinced that he can. Seems like a nice enough Gnome though." Bee hands the book back to Sam.

"Anyway, it looks like we have a mission to get ready for."

"Ooh... We should all pick up winter gear from the quartermaster!" Then Bitty looks over at Egg and Bea. "We should get fur coats for our dinosaurs as well, or they'll get sluggish in the cold!"

Ami gets up from the chair she was sitting in. I guess I just got volunteered

"I never thought about giving Bea clothes. Although he is very vocal about things he does not like, it is hard to know the things he enjoy."

Ashun looks around the room searching for his iguana, just to see his backpack and it's contents scattered across the floor and the dinos covered in potion paint.
"Bea!"

Ashun sighs and goes to clean up his stuff.
While gathering his bearings and trying to clean the mess, the changeling gives a happy nod to Ami
"Good to have you with us. Pardon the weird introductions."

"Egg! Did you create a mess?" Bitty comes forward to help Ashun clean up.

Ami helps Ashun clean up.

I have had worse. At least I'm not being ignored or anything or feel like a tag-a-long.

She pauses.

You know, I think I'd be flattered if I was in someone's book - as long as I was portrayed in a heroic light
