Open recruitment for 1-2 seats in the adventure in the Beginner's Box, Menace Under Otari.
1. The scenario will be run in Adventure Mode with the option for PFS credit at the end. The game will generally follow PFS rules, with the following exception: I'm allowing expanded access on ancestries, backgrounds, classes, and heritages (but not items or feats) - players can freely choose Uncommon ancestries, backgrounds, classes, and heritages. I'm also willing to consider Rare ancestries, backgrounds, and heritages, but on a "sell me on it" basis. I'm also willing to consider Uncommon items and feats on the same "sell me on it" basis.
You don't need to take the PFS credit, but you need to understand Society rules. Specifically, you need to understand that I think Society rules as a whole is a net positive. If you can't stand Pathfinder Society play, you're not going to like my games, because aside from Uncommon access, I run games very much in line with Society rules.
2. Recruitment will be open for at least three days from this post, March 1. All applications that are received in that time will be considered equally. Assuming that there are enough qualified applicants in the first week, I'll choose, and the game will start on March 6, concurrent with Gameday.
Either 4 or 5 seats are reserved for other players. I am aiming for 6 PCs.
3. The game will be played by play-by-post on the Paizo forums. I anticipate the game will run 3-4 months. I try to post every day, but I don't, so ... yeah. Sorry.
4. What am I looking for?
- A post from your main alias.
- An indication that you're interested in applying.
- An indication that you understand my boundaries.
- A statement about your familiarity with a. PFS2, b. PF2, and c. PbP.

Jory (chainmail's main PFS 1E character) got all his EXP on these boards. My references would be my excellent GMs in his campaign list. You can see my style if you page through this alias' adventures a bit.
I made a kobold wizard for a fey kingmaker campaign and wasn't selected. Typically I don't apply for single seats, but this seems cool.

Hey WaterySoup,
So I was thinking about making gunslinger Vanguard as a frontline, I am still clarifying the details. He would be yet another dwarf from Goldenoak clan, a brother of Rose a distant relative of Fundin. I am familiar with society play, pf2 in general and pbp.
I will inspire Thorn a bit on EbonFirst's Ulfgar, and make him a dwarf of few words. I will try to express his internal struggle with scowls, grimaces, rolling of eyes and grunts. When forced to he will pull on his beard with madness in his eyes ;)
We will see how it will go.

I would love to play in this!
I understand your boundaries (and also think PFS rules are good guidelines for non-PFS play).
I have, well, boatloads of experience in PFS, PF2e and PBP. I will happily cede a seat to any new player who wants it, but that doesn't mean I don't also want it!

I am interested to join. All the games I played and GMed are for PFS2 for more than a year now, in terms of familiarity. I also understand your boundaries. I usually bring character to the game that supplements party composition, though I have more inclination toward spellcasters. I will also happily cede my application to any new player who wants it.

4. What am I looking for?
- A post from your main alias.
- An indication that you're interested in applying.
- An indication that you understand my boundaries.
- A statement about your familiarity with a. PFS2, b. PF2, and c. PbP.
RESPONSES
- DicesMuse (Main alias for my PF characters) reporting for duty!- I am indicating interest (thank you for the invitation and link!)
- I understand all your boundaries, and fully intend to try for Pathfinder Society Credit!
- I have extensive familiarity with Pathfinder, PF2e, PFS for both, and I have been involved with Play by Post and Play by Discord regularly as such things are about the only way I can scratch that PF itch as a Father with multiple children. Hoping to try this out as a player and then attempt to play games myself in the future![/list]
OTHER NOTES
- As a working father I can typically keep up with one post a day, I can push for more, but it can get difficult as Paizo Forums do not provide any reliable means of notifying me of new posts. I check about twice a day, but only can type/update reliably about once a day. I will try for more, but don't promise much more than that!
- My elven character Dailyn Syrah is heavily inspired by the Lost Omens: Pathfinder Society Sourcebook with the Level 2 Archeologist Archetype Dedication in mind. Here is hoping it helps!
- I hope I am able to fill in the last spot and look forward to playing with you!

Okay, there are 5 applicants, and I hate turning people away, so I'm going to run two tables.
Table 1:
Ebonfist, Farol, Halgur, RxGus, Tyranius - your Gameplay thread will be the one attached to this Recruitment. Please discuss your characters in Discussion. I will try to begin this table on March 6, and this table will be the one attached to the convention.
Table 2:
Chainmail, DicesMuse, Frozen Frost, Newbonomicon, Tarondor - your Gameplay thread will be HERE. Please "dot and delete" into Gameplay (make a post, and then immediately delete it), and begin discussing characters in the Discussion thread. I will aim to begin this table on March 13, and if we finish before May 15, I will see if I can get convention credit, but I can't promise anything.
---
One seat remains open in Table 2, I'll leave it open until the first table begins.

Hi GM Watery Soup,
If there is still a seat left I'd be interested in joining in!
I note your boundaries and will be happy to play by society rules and norms. I'd like to play for PFS credit.
I haven't played PF2 before, but have done many years of playing and GMing PF1. I have run home games using PFS1 rules so am familiar with the general concept.
This would also be my first PbP so I'll be open to advice on that front.
I should be able to post daily but I am in Australia so time zones will be a bit weird :)
