Kzem: it still fails. :(
Thorn tries to stride away, but the dragon's tail whips around and smacks him in the face, interrupting his Stride. Moved Thorn back.
Grimmylow casts a spell, and some of Kzem's wounds start closing up, which is a good thing, because the dragon unleashes a full round of fury on Kzem and Thorn.

Silence has enough movement to probably not provoke an AoO unless he has reach.
Unfortunately, the attack that has the reaction has reach.
As Silence circles around, the dragon's tail whips out, and smacks it out of the air. Crit, Dying 2
Meadow flings a pair of arrows, the first one striking appearing to strike but missing.
Two shots ring out, but Thorn can't damage the dragon.
Buzz throws an alchemist's fire, which veers pretty far off course. Critical miss, no splash damage Two stingers bounce of its armor.
Kzem turns around and smacks the dragon once, but when he tries a second time, the dragon is ready.

So looking at the map heading I see that Meadow only has one hero point. I spent one on the attack thinking that I had 2. Since Silence would have gone down before Meadow launched her attacks could I not use the hero point for the attack so I can save it to save him if needed?

Sure. I'll revise the tracker.
Also, if Meadow would have done something different instead of attacking, you can revise your actions. I trust you to be honest.

◆ ◆ Stabilize Spell on Meadow

Grimmylow, Guidance has a 1 hour cooldown, so you can't use it on Thorn again.
Buzz throws a bottle, which bursts into flames all over the dragon. Then, he fires a stinger, which lodges right in the dragon's neck. The third shot misses, though.
Two versions of Kzem appear, and the dragon looks surprised. But not surprised enough to take its eyes off of the shield boss descending on them, though.
Thorn fires a well-placed shot, finding exactly the spot where Buzz had hit, and opening a large wound in its neck.

Buzz's last bomb is, unfortunately, a critical miss, but his first stinger critically hits. If anyone is tracking, this means the dragon's AC is exactly 22. Buzz, with that in mind, if you'd like to use a Hero Point to reroll your first attack (it should have guidance, too), I'm cool with that.

Grimmylow runs up and patches up Kzem and Thorn.
With Grimmylow's cheerleading, Thorn takes a deep breath, aims carefully, and puts a single shot in the dragon's neck, bringing it to near death.
He reloads, and takes another deep breath. Time seems to slow for him, as he carefully watches the dragon thrash around. He aims for a spot just ahead of the dragon's movement, and as his finger squeezes the trigger, the dragon's head moves right into the crosshairs.
A loud crack is followed by a dull thud, as the dragon collapses on the ground. Then, complete silence as the mushrooms bear silent witness to the end of the threat.
End of combat!
The ledge in the northeast corner of the room holds the treasure the kobolds offered to the dragon. Atop the ledge sits a small chest and a huge pile of coins. There is 28.59 gp in this vast pile. There’s also a single giant emerald atop the heap that vaguely looks like the dragon’s eye, which can be sold for 20 gp.
The back of the mushroom grotto has a tunnel leading to a long, winding passageway. You can choose whether to follow this tunnel back up, or, head back up through the fishery. This choice is for flavor only - this will determine how Troubles in Otari starts.

Meadow slowly regains consciousness and groggily sits up. "What happened?" She looks around the room and sees the dead dragon. "Oh no. Poor puppy. He was only a baby. It's too bad we couldn't...Oh no! Silence!"
She leaps up and races to the owl's side. "Oh no, oh no, oh no..." She turns to the cleric and pleads for assistance. "Please help him, Grimmy. Please, please, please." She frets constantly as Grimmylow tends to the owl's wounds.
As soon as Silence wakes she gives him a huge hug.

With a lot of courage and a bit of luck, the heroes emerge victorious from the ... cellar! Tamily feels truly relieved to learn that the threat is gone, especially after learning just how dangerous it was.
A group of children crowd around as the heroes tell the story, and as soon as the story is finished, ad hoc messengers scatter to retell the tale. Some people believe the stories, others dismiss them as the rantings of unreliable narrators.
Over the coming weeks, news of the heroes’ exploits travel all across town, and Tamily Tanderveil sends the heroes an invitation to meet her for a light dinner and a round of drinks at the Otari Fishery.
This is the official hook, and the end of this scenario!
