Granny will happily use that wand of Mage Armor on you... after we're sure it won't provoke the mysterious boatman into attacking. Should probably get those quills out of everyone and channel first, too. And see if the downed elf is more willing to talk without the howlers around.

Just realized... I think Granny was given the wrong faction mission. She should get the Silver Crusade mission, not the Andoran/Liberty's Edge mission.

No, this is correct. The original five factions were Andoran, Cheliax, Osirion, Qadira, and Taldor.

It should stack, for the same reason that it can be usefully cast on an animal companion. Klaus has natural armor, and Barkskin gives an "enhancement bonus to the creature's existing natural armor bonus". The Phantom's level-based AC is "the increase to the phantom’s natural armor bonus", rather than being an enhancement bonus.

I assumed it was part of Granny's Faction Mission to free the elf. I, too, was hoping to do more RP.

Jory could see letting them go as they are entering the pyramid, but letting a possibly hostile elf warn everyone doesn't seem smart.

When you whole clan is almost wiped out by elves you tend to be mistrustful of the dark ones and the light ones.

Well, that's one way to do it. If we run into any slaves that know they're slaves, we'll need to keep this guy safe from them.

I've also added using a scroll I forgot about before the rewind. The boats apparently take 30 minutes to travel 2 miles, so Granny should have plenty of time to get an answer to the spell if she casts it maybe three-quarters of a mile out.

She'll still hand out the earplugs and use her wand of Heightened Awareness as before.


For Rallas' benefit... how far away from the group is he now?

When we started leaving the boat (before getting to this room), cast Barkskin +3 on Klaus. Lasts for 80 minutes.

Granny wants to wedge the piton somewhere nearish the door, somewhere that can support a climbing rope. Preferably somewhere that doesn't require noisily hammering it in, but she'll take what she can get. Door-to-hole is 25', leaving plenty of rope to get down unless the next floor has 30' ceilings.

Also, before we head down, she'd like to use her Shining Wayfinder to check for Evil.

Intention is to make as little noise as possible in this area (creepy singing pyramid makes it seem like there's probably someone nearby).

Greetings fellow sapients. I am going out of town on vacation starting tomorrow and not returning until Monday night. I likely won't read the forums in that time and even more likely won't post, but will try to catch up on everything by Tuesday. If you are in multiple games with me, prepare to read this portion of this message multiple times...

If combat breaks out, Kahwen will stay mobile, he can always make a sneak attack if he moves at least 10'. He'll only get locked in with someone if he's been hasted and can flank. Anyone he sneak attacks suffers 5 bleed damage and he always uses the disorient debilitating injury to reduce his target's to hits by -2 in general and -4 to him.

Realized after I posted my action that I should have used Spirit-Bound Blade on Kahwen to allow for sneak attacks - I mean, that's kind of why I prepared it. Oh well.

If anyone is using them, don't forget the +2 from the earplugs Granny loaned out, and the +4 if you're within 10' of Trokkus.

Granny's action will depend on whether PCs failed their saves. If one or more did, she'd cast Remove Fear on up to three before they act, which suppresses the fear effect for longer than it's likely to last.

If you need a Sense Motive to tell which ones are starting to panic and gibber:
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
