Lasciel is able to ascertain several things. This is the literal root of the haunts in the house. A sliver of Vorel Foxglove's wicked soul permeates the house, manifesting as the dark sickened mold throughout the house. The energies of the broken phylactery fused him with the foundations. He IS here in front of you. He is the dark will behind most of the horrific events that transpired in this house over decades, exerting some sort of dark influence over its poor inhabitants.

She knows this VERY dangerous patch of fungus, ripe with phage disease and decay, could be temporarily destroyed by fire, acid, or the application of vials of holy water, but the foul stuff would simply regrow in 24 hours unless the site is subjected to a complex cleansing ritual... You would need the help of the clerics of Sandpoint for this. Otherwise, the haunts will restore themselves continually reliving the terrors you have come to know.

Would you wish to bring the clerics and help with the ritual, or just let them know? Going and returning for them would take about 6 hours. You would still have light.

Lasciel is decided to end this once and for all, and goes all the way back to the town.

She goes straight to the Sandpoint Cathedral, truly the crowning jewel of the town, where she finds Father Zantus. She shares her tale of murders most foul, undead creatures in the basement, haunts on every corner, but most important of all, the necromantic link between the mold phage, the house and the dark spirit of none other than Vorel Foxglove.

Father Zantus and the other 5 clerics, each representing a different faith that finds a home in these premises, take her words VERY seriously. It takes a couple of hours for all of them to prepare everything they need to cleanse this cursed evil from the face of Golarion. They might have their differences but they know this cannot stand.

Lasciel leads them in procession back to the mansion, down to the basement, down to the spiral into the ancient caves. The clerics clutch their holy symbols close to their chests and cover their mouths and noses when passing the bodies of the defeated ghouls and ghasts lying through the tunnels.

They slowly come into the room with you and start to set up their work while keeping a safe distance from the humanoid mold figure in the west wall. You could almost swear it's getting nervous...

The clerics bring out holy candles representing their deities: Desna, Abadar, Sarenrae, Shelyn, Gozreh, and Erastil. They offer you all smaller candles and holy water as well if you wish to participate. Father Zantus (a Cleric of Desna) and Brother Naffer Vosk (cleric of Sarenrae) start with a simple prayer each and then procede the ritual reading divine scrolls.

"May her light burn you away!" Vosk calls out, finishing his own prayer, and one of the acolytes throws a lit up torch at the 'feet' of the mold. The fire quickly spreads up illuminating up the cave.

"Rinse this sinful soul from this walls! BEGONE!" Father Zantus gives a signal to everyone to throw their vials of holy water to finish up.

What you all might not have expected (or at least the clerics didn't) was that the holy fire actually inflamed the flames as it had been oil. The clerics gasp and step back in horror, as the fire causes the fungus to suddenly animate and tear free from the wall. The thing howls in a sloshy, barely human angry voice, it reaches for you to attack, but the holy flames consume it quickly, leaving only crumbling to dust behind.

The haunt of Foxglove Manor is thus finally exorcised...

Zantus takes a long moment to find his voice again to thank you for your bravery.

"I'm sure the Mayor and Sheriff Hemlock will want to know what happened here... Thank you for service."

The other clerics look also nervous and wish to leave as soon as possible. They have succeeded but the sight they just witnessed will likely keep them up at night.

White Rose has 12 Constitution, so will stop making saves and pay for healing if she ever gets to 3 or fewer.

After a few days of rest under the watchful eyes of the Sandpoint healers she also recovers the ability damage with long term care.

Shamus watches intently as the ritual to cleanse the evil from the manor is performed.

He tosses the vial of holy water and also casts bless as an extra precaution.

"Thank the heavens that its finished. Now the town has time to heal and recuperate."

Once all is finished, he goes back to town with his companions to tell the Mayor and Sheriff Hemlock all that has happened.

"...haunts everywhere!...”
