I know many of you have seen this already, but I have some life things that have come up and I need to drop out of a few of my games, including this one. I apologize for the inconvenience and wish you all the best.

I don't make this decision lightly, but I am also not giving the game the attention it deserves, and that is not fair to everyone else.

Okay, time for a decision/discussion here.

We've lost Meebo and Myev from the original party and some of the other folks are infrequent posters - even during the combats.

Dungeon crawls are difficult in the PbP format, so I'm certain that is playing into a bit of what we've seen here.

I'm leaning toward shutting down this game, but could easily be convinced otherwise if there is still enough interest in continuing.

Myev, sorry to see you go, but totally understand the need to prioritize RL things.

As for continuing I'm okay going forward if the module is still interesting to you as a GM and if we can add at least one more regular poster. I'm enjoying playing Tek and would love to see 'how he turns out' going forward, but totally understand if most are ready to move on.

I'd be fine to continue, sorry about being infrequent. I do agree that dungeon crawls tend to drag in PBP because it can be much of the same over and over.

That being said I'd be down to continue, and a replacement melee specialist should help.

If everyone is on board, we can give it a go. That being said, if the dungeon crawl is too much of a slog we can let it go and I'll think about starting something else a little more open than a dungeon crawl in a bit.


Hmm, well I've not looked at the Goodman Games version but I recall the original module was sort of intentionally open after a certain point, leading to a lot of work on the DMs part to fill in the blanks.

It does open up quite a bit after the next level of the pyramid. After completing this level, the party would be 3rd level.

He's not yet a full member of the organisation. A squire if you will.

During a mission for the order he was caught in a magical accident and ended up... well... here. He figures the best way out is to properly investigate whatever 'here' is.

I'll set up the profile soon and update the background etc but if you're okay then I can plop him in.

Yep, excited about sub-class shenanigans and we are so close. Also, having shedded a few games, hoping to get back to longer RP writeups for my character here (which I still like a lot).

I would also be down for recruiting 1 or 2 more (in addition to Helaman), but I don't want to slow everything down with that.

Alright, we can go with that. The accident in question has just happened and you haven't had much opportunity to explore much of anything.

No worries. I know the break in the action we had with Silas and Myev's departure did not help in that and certainly derailed my enthusiasm temporarily.


Probably doesn't matter but I forgot I had prof in Athletics, so +2 on my rolls hitting DC 10.

Tek, also don't forget Dodging gives advantage on dexterity saves. You could dodge then move as you continue to search, rolling twice for the trap save if you hit another.

Happy to spend the time to clear some of the rubble away and maybe take a short rest. Tek should probably spend at least one HD to heal some. But I'm also fine just crawling through and plowing ahead if we want.

Theoretically I can try casting Thunderwave.

There's the secondary effect "In addition, unsecured Objects that are completely within the area of Effect are automatically pushed 10 feet away from you by the spell's Effect, and the spell emits a thunderous boom audible out to 300 feet."
