And the red ribbons become bedecked with red blood.
Ny'a strikes the green ratfolk firmly. It surely can't stand much more punishment. It squeaks in distress.
Someone care to provide an action and rolls for Two blades?

Two blades tries to stab one of the ratmen, but it twists away from him at the last moment.
Seeing Pau quickly recovering, the triplets redouble their efforts to quickly take him down. The red rat steps down to the ground to get a flanking attack in.

Belladonna of Desna |
Bella's returning starknife appears in her hand.
"Hey, Two Blades!"
Bella calls out.
"Scoot to your left when you get a chance. Lemme squeeze in there to heal Pau!"

Did you remember to do another fort save for red, or does that happen on my turn?
Once again Deluge uses the wand to keep Pau up and going and to remove the nasty bleed.

It's unclear when the save happens. Probably easiest if I do it on my turn, but remind me if I forgot!
fort: 1d20 ⇒ 19 The red ratman fights off the magical poison.
His companion in green fur is less lucky, and proves incapable of fighting off Tere. It drops.
The two rats squeak as their companion drops. And then again when Deluge annoyingly stops the bleeding. Again.

Tere di Montefeltro |
The elf takes a moment to search the bodies. Are any of them armed with heavy maces, or anything else that looks like the weapon that killed the one in the other room?
Belladonna of Desna |
Bella moves up to the fallen ratfolk, holding her blade to show that she's armed, but she speaks in a calm manner as she kneels beside him.
"I'm sorry it came down to besting you in combat. My friends are a bit brash in such a dangerous place. We may be able to save you if you just tell us what you know about this place."
She glances at one of the large gleaming discs near the wall then back down at the ratfolk.
"Are these magical doorways of some kind? Where do they lead to? How do they work?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
She sheathes her starknife and pulls out her wand of cure light wounds, attempting to entice the ratfolk to receive healing in exchange for information.
GM Aerondor |
Nope, the only mace you have seen that looks about right is Two-blades.
The ratfolk are armed with rapiers and daggers. They wear respectable clothing and fancy cloaks. Almost as if dressed for a party.
The badly wounded survivor just grits its teeth at Belladonna. It has lots of fresh wounds and a couple of old ones. One that looks like it may have been from a starknife.
"You are all crazy. No idea how gates work. If I did I wouldn't have waited for you to try and kill me again."
Pau |
Pau pulls out his healing wand and asks Deluge to patch him up yet again.

"Again? You say we came here before? How odd. I remember none of that. Where did we go last time?"
diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Deluge casts a detect magic and starts hunting for magic items and, perhaps, to figure out more about the portals.
Ny'a |
"Kill you again? That's not even possible. Unless you've got some massive source of resurrections or something like that. What do you even mean?"
Ny'a examines the ratfolk, wondering just how close to death it is, so she can better assess whether she has an obligation to try to help.
Heal: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
"You're fine...." she says, deciding the ratfolk must just be a faker.
GM Aerondor |
The rat, eased a bit by Deluge's words rolls his eyes. "Out. You went out. Now you come back. Crazy. Thick in head. Go Away Again."
Each of the ratfolks small rapiers are magical, as are their cloaks.
The portals too are magical, but you could have guessed that!
As the gnome speaks the ratfolk draws back. "You no speak well. You tried to kill us before and do so again." Ny'a thinks the ratfolk is just faking it, that blood looks like crushed tomato to her.
Deluge-Core |
"Look, there is nothing I'd like better that sticking my neck out here and getting stuck with sharp objects, but we have a job to do. We will leave once we figure out how these... portals? work. You could get rid of us quicker by telling us."
GM Aerondor |
"Bah, you stick own neck on portal. See if head falls off." spits the Ratfolk, obviously unhappy with the party for some forgotten transgression.
Ny'a |
"I'm not sure what your mind games are trying to accomplish, but we have to press on, Mr. Rat." She looks to the more magically-inclined among the Pathfinders for direction. "If nobody has any good ideas about these, do we just pick one and go? I'm not sure we have better options...."
Deluge-Core |
@GM Aerondor
Any knowledge/skill rolls to make here or do we just playing with the things?
"Unless someone knows anything better, I figure we just pick one and go through it. But what do we do with Mr. Rat here. Say do you have a name? In common? I don't speak rat. Well, not normally."
Belladonna of Desna |
"Well, it only makes sense. Our Venture Captain said we were in here, but don't remember anything."
She turns to the ratfolk.
"Why are you still here, then? Why didn't you leave the first time?"
She walks towards one of the portals.
"Anyway... Let's see what these are all about."
She casts detect magic on the central portal.
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
GM Aerondor |
You're just playing with these things. You knocked the rat down to exactly zero, so I figured you could get a little chat time.
The central portal is magical, but seems current quiesced, as if waiting. The other two portals have active conjuration(teleportation) magic on them.
The ratfolk sullenly shuts up.
Deluge-Core |
"Well, if it's not going to be helpful, we should knock him out so that he does not cause us any mischief before we go.
Pau |
”Maybe we could just bind him, but with his attitude, knocking him out wouldn’t hurt my feelings either.”
Belladonna of Desna |
"I think we should just let him go. I don't think he's stupid enough to try anything... stupid. Seven of us and only one of him."
She scowls at the ratfolk.
"You might want to run fast past those water elementals on your way out."
--------------------------
She glances around at the portals.
"Huh. Teleportation doors. That must be a return portal. It's inert."
She points at the central one.
"Sure. Let's take that one."
She agrees with Tere, pointing at the northern portal.
GM Aerondor |
The ratfolk doesn't look like it is in any condition to do any running at all. It sits still, glaring at you.
So... what are you doing with it? And are you leaving it any of its equipment?
The northern portal swirls with an odd blue light, beckoning....
Belladonna of Desna |
Bella looks at her companions.
"Should I give him a bit of healing and let him be on his way? I don't think he's a threat anymore."
Bella will agree with whatever the majority votes on. Tie him up or let him go. She's ready to hop into the portal and move on.
Deluge-Core |
"I'm afraid that if we leave him here he could deactivate or destroy the portal after we went through, leaving us stranded gods knows where. If that is possible, leaving him up and active is a bad mistake."
Deluge-Core |
"Works for me," he offers, though he makes no move to tie them up.
"Now that you know that we are taking you with us, perhaps you might have a change of heart in telling us more about these things?"
GM Aerondor |
The ratman is tied up, leaving you facing the northern portal.
Who is the first to step through it to whatever horrid fate awaits you... And do you take any preparations first?
Pau |
Pau nods and steps forward. ”I guess this is where I come in, eh? Welp, hope to see you lot on the other side,” he groans as he enters the magical portal.
Deluge-Core |
No preps here other than to take out his wand of stone call.
Deluge will pass through the portal in marching order, with the rat in tow.
