Returned from overseas! Was welcomed back warmly by work, with lots to do, and some unexpected family medical issues and the sad reality that my computer is fully dead (only posting via phone until I buy a new one). Will catch up with the game as soon as possible.

Hey Jubal, just to make sure: did they still get to attack me (so I'm down HP) or did we get them before they could hit us?
| Argyri Katrakis |
proposed operating procedure:
1. Argyri and Tarn in front, with Tarn aiding Argyri's perception.
2. Argyri disarming traps (getting aided in that as well, if possible–can someone Aid Disarm if they don't have Proficiency?)
3. Anytime Agyri drops below 25 HP, we either heal her or stop for the night.

I think, sadly, maybe we are petering out. I'm certainly happy to keep going–and know I've sometimes been the source of delays–but I'd love to get the pace back if we're going to continue.
On my end, I was thinking I was waiting for folks to post if they could heal or not...but I just posted in Gameplay to make that explicit.

I'm sorry; it has been a brutal week at work. They've started blocking external sites like Paizo. They also announced massive layoffs, so the next five weeks is going to be a waiting game.

Uuuugh. So sorry to hear. Good luck!

T-Mobile, in the Washington State corporate offices.

Likewise work is brutal (I’m an attorney. Had a promotion recently. That’s great! The work is harder. That’s not great). Also in-laws will be moving in. Immigration plus redoing our basement and more…it’s a lot. All of my games have fallen hard, and to be honest I’ve been thinking of just dropping gaming altogether. I really do apologize for my lack of posting. If the game continues I’ll be here. It is a great campaign and I do enjoy it…it’s just life is hard. :p

Team. I'm super happy to see everyone post since Saturday.
Why don't you short rest to address the wounded and pick a direction?
I'm going to have a rough two days for work, but I'll try to get post if everyone short rests and picks a direction.
It seems no one wants to quit, but we need to reset posting expectations. Look RL is tough. We've been playing over a year and half, so it's natural for our RL to have changed.
Please reflect on what we can commit to each other.
thanks

So, I did get laid off today, along with 30% of my team. I was told I was one of 1,000 being laid off that day alone.

Oy. So sorry.
I hope you have enough of a cushion to take care of yourself while you look, and that you find something good before too long.
| Tarn Copperlocks |
Really sorry to hear that. I hope you bounce back soon.

I appreciate your concern and comments. I am a project manager, and I am based in Western Washington, so I think I'll be okay. I suspect hiring is going to be a bit slim until after the holidays, but I have a decent buffer to tide me over.

OK team
We've more traps and three big fights left to finish this Chapter. In fact, this is Chapter 5 of 8 chapters, so we've already completed more than halfway.
In the time that we've been playing Chapter 5, I ran the whole adventure (all chapters) for my RL gaming group. The next chapter is very involved and needs lots of planning to avoid a TPK. So, considering our current state, I think I'm going to pause us starting Chapter 6. Pausing, because maybe some time in the future your RL situations will change allowing more time for the game.
My question is how do you want to finish this chapter and sail off into the sunset? Do you want me to skip the traps and fast forward you into the each of the fights? Slog the traps, as we've been doing? Or, do you want to call it here? Or, something else?
We've had a great run, and I've tremendously enjoyed playing with you. I'm open to what you want.
cheers

Hi team
I take the relative silence as that uncomfortable silence when no one has anything good to say. We have had a good run for more than a year and half, completed more than half the Adventure.
I've really enjoyed the game. Hope you have, too. I'll keep the game active until Monday, if anyone wants to eulogize.
See you in Recruitment or Mythweavers!
cheers

Hey Jubal, thanks for running a great game. I'm sorry that it's petered out, but it seems like (despite your efforts to keep up momentum) we've hit "real life" slowdowns for too much of the party.
I'd be happy to game again with any of yall in the future.
Cheers!

I am sorry. This has been a great game full of color. Getting hit with the layoff kind of threw me for a bit (even though it wasn't a huge surprise). I'm finally getting back to a normal routine, so I will keep an eye out for you all in the recruitment threads. Take care all!
