We received info that if we eliminate their current BOSS then the NEW BOSS might consider relocating. Ultimately, I have my doubts. The alternative is to simply genocide all the goblins.

Correct on kobolds, and you did get word that if you could replace the chieftain they’d be more receptive. Your main goal however is to get them to go away/stop being trouble. So there is some wiggle room if you want to try to get creative.

How do we integrate the newcomer to the party?
Alternate history, where Raolf joins the group back in town, before heading towards the caves?
Or continue where we left off. Faust disappears mysteriously, and we conveniently find kobold-imprisoned Raoulf in the next room (dwarfsel in distress...) ?

Zuril leans forward, just a bit, and then narrows his eyes as he inspects Raolf bit closer. After a moment, he chuckles. "My bad. Of course, I didn't mean dwarf. Simply a joke to test our new friends since of humor."
I'm going to suggest that we keep Faust shadowed in case he rejoins latter down the road. I'm also thinking that Raolf could be someone close by who has been watching the tribe or is possibly a captive. There are a lot of ways to integrate him and still maintain a level of emersion. GM's call though.
Our lovely DM suggested in a PM that Raolf happened to be in town and heard of the group, and wanted to help. However, I'm not sure if that was intended to be a retrofit or not.
I'm good with whatever works.
I have an idea for when he can be put in, maybe having him show up at the right moment. As for Faust I’ll bot him for the moment and at an opportune moment shift hun into the background.

Another question, sorry. You mentioned that some of the kobolds were up on a ledge, right? I can't tell where the ledge is on the map. :/ I want to hit some of them with a color spray but I don't think that will work if they're up high.
The ledges are 8 feet off the ground, so it’s not difficult to aim the cone higher. As for the ledges, each group is technically on one of the ledges. They are the circular areas each group is close to.

Unfortunately not…. Which is moderately frustrating. Due to the timing however if we wanted to try to recruit that player then now would be the moment. If we’d still want to get that elusive fourth player then I can repost.
And it’s all good, I ended up being asymptomatic so it was mostly just waiting for quarantine to end.
Could just run him as an NPC and if he comes back then let him take over. It would be an extra burden on the GM, but would save having to repost for another player.
Possible, I can run them both as NPC’s at least for the time. I do have some traveling over the next few days and will likely be very busy next week. So it’s also a good time IRL as well.
I’ll see what others think before deciding however.

Well, I'd say running either Faust or Raolf as NPCs should be enough. Running both might be extra work...
(And you can always push the responsibility of botting the NPC's to us players...)
It would be nice to have a fourth player, but I suppose there wasn't many applicants last time.
One game of mine just shut down due to GM's time issues, I could ask the players if they'd like to join us.

Happy belated holidays! I love Christmas but man, it is exhausting.
I believe the group now has a CLW wand with (50) charges. Faust is the best suited to carry it, unless someone else has a better option. If not, Faust should list the wand in his inventory.
OK, I see what happened. We did buy a wand of CLW with (50) charges and Faust was the one who carried it. He never listed it in his gear and eventually did a stage right. With GM's approval, seeing the item was a group bought item, can we have August in possession of it? He's the only one with the spell on his spell list. In fact, it's been a while, but I think we used a few of the charges. I'll have to scroll back, when I get a chance, to verify how many uses we used.
