I suppose armor from evil dragon scales would be ok for a paladin of Apsu (no good dragons were harmed in making this armor...). Maybe I should wear the phylactery long enough to see if I get a thumbs-up from upstairs for the idea :)

In the game, I suppose we should next go to Bophre Malay, Carla and Sela for the reward (or wait until morning and go in daylight...). But August wouldn't suggest that, so it's up to Zuriel or Jenise to look after our financials :P

I'm simply not sure about the armor. Putting the phylactery on might be an option to gauge the idea. As fare as phylactery's goes, I'm also not sure if something needs to be done in order for you to use it. I mean, it was being used by a kobold and likely has their religious text in it. (Shrug) Simply not sure about this. Nore am I sure about the number of scales necessary to make a set of armor. We will need GM to wade in on the subject if we manage to find someone who is capable of advising us about that. I could spend a day gathering information to try and locate someone who might know more about making the armor. IF we want to spend the time at this point.
We should head out first thing in the morning to find out about the reward. Gavia doesn't seem to enjoy the dark.
Making armor from dragonhide depends on the dragon’s size relative to the armor’s size. To make hide armor the dragon has to be 1 size category larger (so large for medium/human-sized armor), for banded mail 2 sizes bigger, for half plate 3 sizes, and for full plate or a breastplate 4 sizes (colossal to make human-sized). You can also make one shield from each dragon in addition to the suit armor, so in theory you could probably make a shield but not armor out of a medium sized dragon, but the entry on dragonhide doesn’t actually say that explicitly.
I’d say the scales would be usable to work a shield, 6 scales isn’t to much. Armor wise woudl require more than your current amount of “dragonhide”
As for the phylactery I’d say it requires just simply putting it on and focusing for a moment for it to work.
Hmm, dragon scale shield then? So the green scales is enough to possibly make a shield. What about the very large black scale? If its not enough to do anything with, we should sell it. We might even be able to barter with the it in order to have the shield crafted. That would, of course, depend on its value.

So, I think we should take a quick run to the edge of town to investigate the possible reward tonight. First thing early morning, Zuriel will gather information to see if there is someone in town who could commission the crafting of the green dragon scale shield.
Asking around will take 1 hour with a result of (26). After he returns, all sellable gear is sold, shield is in the works, and then we proceed to the new quest. If anyone wants to buy anything with their share of the loot, post the transaction here and it could be assumed that it was handled while Zuriel was gathering info.
This is just a suggestion of course.

Sorry for falling silent for a few days there- work this week was insane trying to get everything set up for the couple weeks I'll be out of my surgery. It's all done now and I should have a ton of time for posting next week, until the surgery on Friday. I probably won't post at all next weekend but I'm hoping that by Monday I'll be able to post one-handed, lol. I will be high (on the prescribed pain medication) but hopefully you won't be able to tell (or if you can hopefully it'll be funny and not disruptive).

sorry its taking so long to get a post up- between being in a haze from the drugs and just being out of it from the wildly erratic sleep schedule that the swings between pain and highness cause I haven't really been able to write coherent posts. i'm done with one the meds now, and my brain seems a bit clearer, so I'm hoping i might be able to post tomorrow or Sunday (but, like i said before, please feel free to bot me if you need to). Oh my god, I can't believe I made it through the semester. There were times when I wondered if I would. Sorry about the delay, folks, we had a major hailstorm here yesterday that took the internet out for quite a while. Hail the size of golf balls actually exists. Wild.

Sorry my posting's been so slow! I'm mostly off the drugs now and easing back into the daily grind by working mostly remotely. I'm about to read through the posts I missed and make a post myself. It might take a day or two to catch up on all my games but I should be back to regular posting by the end of the week.

Hey everyone, I’m really sorry for falling silent without any notice!
Last week I returned to normal/full-time work and it’s proved a bit more challenging than expected. I continue to recover well, but after being on the computer a lot at work (and all the little ways you use your shoulder throughout the day without really even thinking about it when you're not laid up at home recovering), I haven't been up to getting back on it afterwards to post. I’m getting to the point where I should be able to post during breaks and after work with some regularity again soon. And, I’m actually off tomorrow, so I’ll catch up on reading posts and get a post up in gameplay then.

I’ll give the others some time to chime in, I’ll facilitate things a little more and try to get things rolling.
I think we may have lost Jenise? Her last post in gameplay was over 2 months ago (May 11th), and her last post in discussion is coming up on the 2 month mark (May 25th).
She's still posting in some other games (or, posting again) so maybe she accidentally clicked off updates for this one in her campaigns tab? Does someone maybe want to shoot her a PM and see?
In the meantime, are we allowed to roll aid other for knowledge [arcana] untrained? I know you can only attempt untrained knowledge checks for DC 10 or lower, but the DC to assist is 10, even though the check in gameplay is obviously higher than that. I have no Int bonus, but I'm still at 50/50 to give Gavia +2 if I'm allowed to try (or, probably Zuriel is at better than 50/50 iirc, if he wanted to try).
Might want to give her a poke. Sometimes the boards simply don't flag the added posts on your campaigns tab. I've had that happen on more than one occasion.
