Okay, Ting. I'll soften him up for you.

The elf sneak attacks the ogre with a Snowball, changing the energy type to acid. Because why not?

ranged: 1d20 + 6 + 20 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 20 = 44
Acidball: 5d6 + 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 2, 2) + (1, 1) + 2 = 20 weak...

Lefty is suddenly visible, and moves behind Ting Ting.

He's all yours!

"Retreat into the tunnel here, or we will be boxed in" - Tessai warns Lothorian again, via the magical spell - "We have no idea if that ogre is alone or not"

Tessai map position updated. Malinor, want to swap positions with me?

Dark Archive

I do not have a good set up for the map. Feel free to move me back so you can take the spot.

Done!

I'm here. Just waitin' for something to happen.

The acidball smashes into the ogre coming up the stairs and it roars in pain.

"My Nom-Noms!" it bellows.

Badguy initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 7

Ting Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Garados Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Lefty Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Everyone goes before the ogre and acolyte.

Seeing 'Lefty' manifest and cast what looked like a green ball of snow down the hallway, ting lulled his tongue in a tengu smile. Keeping his back against the wall waiting for the Ogre to come around the corner so he can chop at it with his voidglass blade.

readied attack: MW Voidglass Falchion bless PA, FF
attack: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 1 = 15 for damage: 1d10 + 6 + 1 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 + 9 = 19

"What are you doing? Why are you revealing our presence?" - the paladin snarled via the spell.

Malinor delays as he waits to see if the men in the chamber move to aid the ogre.

@Lefty: at what range did you want to blast the ogre?

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

40'.

The ogre stomps down the hallway, followed by a human acolyte of the temple until it is 40' from the corner.

Lefty's acidball materializes and blasts into the giant, causing it to roar in pain.

Tessai hopes the foes in the large room will not hear this commotion - she holds her ground, ready to attack any enemy which may come in sight.

Readied Attack:

Bardiche: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Damage if it hits: 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

Plus possible AoOs due to reach weapon.

Does the ogre keep coming toward us?

The ogre continues forward, the acolyte following behind.

He roars in rage, echoing down the hallway.

He walks right into Ting's readied attack, which unfortunately bounces off the chainmail it has draped across its giant frame.

Tessai: you haven't noticed any reaction from the crowd in the temple, but that might change now that the ogre roared.

Everyone is up

Studying the ogre as he steps in front of it, Ting raises the voidglass blade. Looking past the ogre to the human. "so's what did you's floggin' blokes to wit tha girly girl, wroight?" He then slashes at Ogre with his falchion.

Malinor holds his gun and watches for any of the cultists to come running.

Ready a single point blank shot using Ricochet to bounce it off a surface that stops cover.

Readied attack if needed:

+1 Pistol Deadly Aim Touch Attack + PBS: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 1 = 29

+1 Pistol Deadly Aim Damage + PBS: 1d8 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 1 = 18

Garados holds position, waiting for the attack.

Tessai keeps a readied action, in case any enemy comes close.

Ting pierces the ogre's mail, but doesn't kill it.

It winds up with a double-handed club to smash the bird-man after Lefty takes his action.

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

Wow, that's one tough ogre...

Lefty sticks with the acid, this time with a Scorching Ray.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
acid damage: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 1) + 2 = 16

That should do it.

Kill that other guy, Ting. I'm needed elsewhere.

The elf heads to the other end of the hall.

Lefty moved 30' south, but seems to have disappeared from the map.

The ogre is staggered by Lefty's next spell, two major acid burns and a slash from Ting's blade.

He is still up, looking increasingly angry.

Ogre still up, but hurt badly. Lefty can change his mind about abandoning Ting.

The ogre raises his club up over his head and slams it down towards Ting.

Greatclub attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (1, 5) + 18 = 24

Does that hit, Ting?

Ting can use a little help with that ogre and the dummy with him. I've got a fireball to cast.

Does anybody have Haste?

I have already said multiple times that Ting should retreat.

"Retreats? Were you's talkin' ta ..." As ting began to respond to Tessai's observation, he fails to dodge the Ogre's club. Blurting out, "Ow's! Why you's bloody big bastard!" He turns his head around on his neck looking the general direction of the group. "I's'l be with you's blokes in a jiffy, wroight after I put 'is big feller on 'is back!"

DMoG, is the party up?

I think we should get busy and fight. We have good fighters who haven't even started yet. Ting needs healing. We can beat these clowns!

Not in a corridor, with enemies coming at us from both sides. - Tessai reiterates.

Ting I am not sure, but with the Message spell I think we can only speak with the caster (Lothorian), and not with each other?

Ting takes a rocking blow from the ogre barbarian's greatclub.

"Kill the unbelievers!" the acolyte cowering behind the ogre yells.

No sign of movement from the temple, but they can probably hear the ogre roaring.

Party is up

Tessai wrote:

I think officially your right, I've seen it played both ways. DMoG any opinion?

'Kill the unbelievers?' Hearing the acolyte scream, ting lulls his tongue in a tengu smile. "Unbeliever's? Who's 'at? I's is a firm believer!" He lifts the falchion and chops at the ogre. "I's believes I's'l bloody well kill 'is ogre, 'en come's after you's!" As the falchion swings downward, he twists his wrists and brings it back up in a slashing motion at the ogre again.

full attack: MW Voidglass Falchion bless PA, FF, ST
attack: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 1 + 2 = 26 for damage: 1d10 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 + 9 + 2 = 21

If ting drops the ogre with the first blow, he will use a move and study the acolyte.

Hearing the battle Wyran wonders why the forces in the temple haven't moved out. He steps out into the hallway moving toward the battle with the ogre.

But I can't see around the corner....

Tessai holds her ground and remains ready to engage any foes who may come around the corner.

Readied action to attack.

Correct. Everyone hears Lefty, but only he can hear their messages. Not a walkie-talkie, but the next best thing.

There's only the ogre and a human coming from the north, at least for now. Ting's got them handled, but he needs some healing.

Lothorian goes toward the south end, eager to cast before his companions engage.

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

Wyran continues north with Lothorian's comment. "I'll go help him then."

Before we get everyone running down the hallway to help ting, did he drop the ogre?

Ting's first slash hits the ogre and opens a deep wound in his thigh. Blood sprays out of the artery.

His second swing bounces off the ogre's chainmail.

Everything Ting knows tells him that his strike should have been a killing blow, but unbelievably the ogre still stays on his feet.

Ogre is heavily wounded and on his last legs, but still alive.

"Yaaarg!!!" the ogre yells in Ting's face and then swings twice.

Greatclub attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27

damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (7, 6) + 18 = 31

Greatclub attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (4, 1) + 18 = 23

The ogre's first swing connects with Ting, but he dodges the second.

From the temple you hear the sound of deep, guttural chanting begin.

Dungeon Master of Graves wrote:

Yikes, that's what I thought you said the last time! When we started combat ting was down - 4 HP. I went back and recalculated the combat and any healing. He was down at least that if not more. The first attack put him at -28 hp. so 30 remaining - 31 damage puts ting on the ground.

His eyes widening as Ting realized that his first blow did not put the ogre on the ground. Trying to step back throwing the momentum of his blade off, he misses the ogre with the second attack and fails to dodge the ogres club. "Squawk" Crumpling to the ground.

stabilize: 1d20 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 - 1 = 5

Also, if ting drops from the first blow, does he lose his dex bonus on the second one, or anything like that?

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

Ting's down! That is one tough ogre! Should have prepped more attack spells...

Lefty fires a Ray of Frost at the ogre, since he's got nothing better to use.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 That might hit.
cold damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 I hope it did!

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

Seeing Ting drop surprises Wyran. He had thought he was moving toward the melee to provide some healing support after Ting dropped the enemy. He calls out a prayer to Desna and sends a starknife made of spell force ahead to fight the behemoth.

Casting Spritual Weapon to attack the ogre.

Spiritual Weapon against the ogre: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage if that hits: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

He calls out (in Giant) "Ya got one you stupid beast. But there's plenty more of us ahead. Want to play with me next?"

The whole temple is stirring - they will soon be swarming this tunnel - Tessai growls over the Message spell - Find a way to bring Ting back, and we will try to hold them off as long as we can.

Not going to rule that Ting loses Dex against second attack this round.

Both spells strike home against the ogre.

It drops to one knee, barely clinging to life.

Malinor says, "Just hold the hall to the chapel. I am going after Ting."

Malinor moves past and calls upon Cayden for support.

I move and cast Shield of Faith to get AC 24.

If I can change my action, Tessai will still take a Ready action but I have changed my position on the map.
