Dungeon Master of Graves |

@Garados: Everyone in the party covered by haste?
The reeling ogre steps over Ting's body and swings down at Wyran.
Greatclub attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (3, 8) + 18 = 29
Greatclub attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (8, 2) + 18 = 28
The first swing slams in Wyran (unless you have a modifier to AC up?), but the second slams into the floor.
The acolyte moves up behind him.
To the south, you hear deep, guttural chanting from the chapel.
A cloud of mist boils up from a point in the center of the doorway to the chapel, filling a 20 foot radius.
Inside the mist, you hear the shambling footsteps of approaching zombies.

Wyran Zuranan |

I had Mage Armor so AC23.
Did my Spiritual Weapon hit?

Lothorian Sativa |

I don't see Lefty on the board, but he should be somewhere between Wyran and Garados.
The elf feels the unmistakable rush of the Haste magic. That's good. Let's take advantage of this speed!
Get Ting back on his feet. I'll slow those zombies down!
Lefty knows the layout of the room to the south. He lifts his arm high, aiming for a point right between the two pillars he knows are hidden in the fog, just over the head of any human-sized creature.
Holding a tiny ball of sulfur, he chants a short phrase that sends a small bead of light streaking to the point he envisions, and it explodes in a ball of fire.
fire: 6d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 2, 2, 1) + 2 = 22
Reflex DC 18 for half. That should get the zombies coming up the hallway and 1 or 2 of the others without affecting Tessai. It should also dissipate most of the fog.
He moves a little closer, and draws his rapier.

Dungeon Master of Graves |

@Wyran - yes it did
The ogre's club misses Wyran on both swings.
Mallinor steps forward, aims and blasts the ogre in the face.
The giant slumps over backwards and falls to the floor.
Lefty's fireball streaks into the fog and explodes in a flash of fire.
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Wyran Zuranan |

Once it is my turn again.... Stepping forward Wyran pulls Ting out of harms way and provides a healing touch from his hex. CMW from Healing Hex: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (8, 5) + 6 = 19
"If you can wait a bit I'll finish healing you. The ogre is down but his handler backed off. Might be going for reinforcements but I think the big battle will be on the other end of here in just a bit...."

Lothorian Sativa |

Did the fog dissipate, or did it get replaced by another spell? Either way, the frog priests like their fog. Wish I had known that before we came in here. lol!
Lothorian tries to see down the hall, but no luck.
I think I got some of them, but it's hard to tell. The zombies are the least of our worries, I'm afraid. I saw some priests in there! Not the friendly, helpful kind...

Lothorian Sativa |

Sorry, Ting. I didn't know how tough that ogre really was. Glad you're still with us.
The elf talks to everyone. These priests like their fog spells. I have nothing to counter that magic now. We'll end up fighting foes we can't see, and that doesn't work too well. Should we go back upstairs? Try to reset the battleground to something more favorable? Any ideas here?

Dungeon Master of Graves |

I'll agree that the fireball would burn off the fog.
The fog cloud burns off, revealing a number of charred corpses and at least one smoking zombie standing in the doorway.
The chanting continues in the temple. You hear multiple voices chanting in different tones.
One of them (the deepest), ceases chanting and there is a sharp crack (almost like Malinor's gunshots) and you all immediately smell the scent of brimstone.
Your brief view of the decimated zombies is cut off by a globe of darkness that appears to hide the temple from view. Regular Darkness, if you have darkvision you can see the remaining zombies staggering forward.
Tessai hears the smoking zombie stagger over to stand in front of her.

Wyran Zuranan |

Wyran follows after Ting, drawing and using his own wand. "That's why I bought my own. Use my spells to hurt the enemy. But for now you use your bow and I'll continue healing you with my wand...."
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Tessai |

Since Tessai has a reach weapon and Dark Vision, I believe she would be entitled an AoO?
As she notices the creature shuffling toward her, Tessai attacks!
Bardiche +1 AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Then she steps back, swinging again with preternatural speed.
Bardiche +1 Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Bardiche +1 Haste: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
----------
AC: 27
HP: 45/51
Effects: Shield, Haste.

Ting Ting Ting |
As ting draws out his bow, he turns to Lotharian. "Me too's I's 'as fought ogre's a'fore, but he was a tough bugger." Turning to Wyran, he nods, "Tank's fer tha healing, I's'l keep me bow at da ready, wroight." Nocking and arrow ting waits for one of the undead to emerge from the globe of darkness.
Haste AC 21, move action: drew bow, readied action: attack + 1 composite Longbow (+4) deadly aim, improved precise shot, haste
attack: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 20 for damage: 1d8 + 1 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 4 + 2 = 15

Lothorian Sativa |

Lefty is off the board. My bad.
The elf remembers he's injured, and retrieves his wand of Infernal Healing and uses it on himself in this round. He's got no spells that will do much at this point.
The wand also gives him an evil aura for a minute, but it's nothing important.

Garados Angelidi |

Garados casts his second monstrous physique spell of the day and transforms into a terrifying popobala, roaring his defiance at the enemy.

Lothorian Sativa |

There are still enemies to the south. Priests. We have to take them out, if we can. I'll stay to the north end and watch for reinforcements.
Lefty will use his Haste to move back to the north end, and reaches into his pack for a scroll.

Wyran Zuranan |

Does the spell give him the senses of what he changes into? If so he has darkvision and blind sense.
Wyran follows along with Ting using his wand to continue healing up some of the damage that he took. He watches down the hall expecting a crowd of undead and their directing priests.
CLW wand on Ting: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Ting Ting Ting |
Was ting able to hit one of the zombies? if so he will fire first at the same one
"Tanks Wyran!" Nodding to the elf, Ting keeps his eyes down the hallway. Stepping forward a few feet he quickly draws, knocks and fires several arrows over the shoulders of Garados and Malinor. Seeing his third shot ricochet off the wall, he bobs his head, calling out to his two companions, "sorry 'bout' at, wroight."

Garados Angelidi |

Who all has darkvision?
Monstrous Physique I only provides low-light vision. Are we in the dark? I missed that.

Tessai |

Tessai has Darkvision ;)
Stepping forward, the Paladin unleashes two attacks on the zombie.
Attacking Green.
Bardiche +1 Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Dungeon Master of Graves wrote:Who all has darkvision?Monstrous Physique I only provides low-light vision. Are we in the dark? I missed that.
On the map there is an area of Darkness. I am not sure if a Continual Light spell would cancel it. It was cast above right after the fog was burned off.

Wyran Zuranan |

Monstrous Physique 1 indicates that you get Darkvision 60' if the creature has it, or low-light vision and several other abilities, climb, fly, scent....

Ting Ting Ting |
Seeing the remaining zombie approaching his companions, Ting calls forwards, "Oy Garados, duck, wroight." He then fires another barage of arrows at the zombie in question. As he let's fly he asks, "So's is we's bloody well goin' in ta tha darkness ta fininsh 'em off? Er is we 'eaded down tha hallway like's we was er are we's 'eaded back upstairs, wroight?"

Wyran taps Ting with his wand again. "You shouldn't be heading into darkness while you're still bleeding bad...."
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Tessai |

'We have now forfeited the element of surprise, and they are encroaching against us' - Tessai whispered to Lothorian via the messaging spell - 'Are you able to use magic and see how they are placed around the room?'
DMofGraves, I assume the prisoners are hiding out in the cells, right? Did any of them actually escape upstairs?

Garados Angelidi |

Garados ducks when told, then rises up and attacks the remaining zombie.

Lothorian Sativa |

I saw the priests. There are 3 or 4 of them to the east of the entrance in a large room. We should just charge in and take them on. They'll have a hard time casting spells with warriors attacking them, the elf replies to Tessai.

![]() |

Malinor dukes and dodges past the last zombie as he makes his way to deal with the priests.
Acrobatics past and ready a shot if I see any non-zombie combatants. I refuse to spend any more ammo on a zombie. :P I have darkvision.
