GM TK-421 |

You know there's something in there. But due to your location and the solid counter blocking your line of sight, you don't learn anything new. You'll have to get closer, and get line of sight, to learn more.

GM TK-421 |

Roscoe can see the ridges of two furry backs, most likely four legged beasts, occasionally rise and fall in views as they presumably devour whatever food stuffs are located inside the stand. They are Medium sized creatures with brownish fur. You assume their heads are tilted down foraging in the food, so you don't have enough information to identify them.

Agent Ken Mason |

Holding his bow still, Mason moves to the right of the ticket booth and prepares for a fight.

GM TK-421 |

A few moments pass as the Agents carefully sneak about... and unsurprisingly remain undetected as none of them have gotten any closer than Roscoe, who wasn't being particularly sneaky at all and hasn't drawn any attention from inside the concessions stand.
But did Roscoe relay any of the information he gleaned from his Perception check. Either you have to verbally relay the information, or noone but Roscoe knows. I'll let you decide which.

Roscoe Talbot |

Hey guys there are 2 creatures behind the counter eating.
Then if there is enought time Roscoe will want to move 10ft back towards the gate.
Roscoe was talking a little loud so everyone could hear and maybe get a response out of the creatures

Agent Ken Mason |

The Agents hear loud snuffling, snorting, and gulping sounds coming from behind and beneath the counter.
seems like you told us that we heard something. so... we've all been approaching the booth. Mason certainly wasn't trying to avoid notice, his exploration activity is searching.

GM TK-421 |

seems like you told us that we heard something. so... we've all been approaching the booth. Mason certainly wasn't trying to avoid notice, his exploration activity is searching.
Yes but you're taking the long way around the ticket booth and hanging back so its kinda sneaky, no? Definitely not straight forward.
The occupants of the concessions stand don't alter their behavior and Roscoe falls back.

Agent Ken Mason |

Slamming his hand on the ticket booth and shouting in the direction of the noises he heard.
"Oi! Fresh biscuits here!"

GM TK-421 |

As the agents are taking their time focusing on the concessions stand, other details begin to become apparent.
To the northeast a large decorative pool lined on the north and west sides by benches serves as the centerpiece of the menagerie’s open-air exhibits. Rocks painted white to resemble icebergs stud the artificial pond, and oversized wooden cutouts depicting smiling penguins wearing top hats have been placed around the pool’s edges. The only actual penguin in the exhibit stands at the peak of the largest painted rock, squawking frantically. The surface of the water is murky with blood and feathers.
And to the south east various creatures fill these rolling cages, many of them howling and agitated behind the bars of their enclosures. A statue of a monkey leans out of one cage, stone arm extended between the bars.

Roscoe Talbot |

Roscoe will walk over to the counter where the creatures are eating to get a closer look at them and what they are doing.

”Good luck friend.”
I’ll let you roll it

Mason
Rocky (-2 hp)
Roscoe (-10 hp, Wounded 1)

Agent Ken Mason |

Mason nods to Roscoe and helps him to his feet.
"Good to have you back with us. Sorry, had to use your elixir there to revive you. Figured you'd be ok with it. You uh... may need to take some time to rest yet, or at the very least, stay a safe distance behind us for now."
Turning to the group.
"Alright, we're a bit banged up, but we've still got a job to do. Let's get this done."
He smiles and gives a thumbs up.

GM TK-421 |

Mason, Rocky, Ialtag, and Roscoe see a half elf in an Edgewatch uniform approaching from the open gate and walking towards them.
Ialtag(-3 hp)
Mason
Rocky (-2 hp)
Roscoe (-10 hp, Wounded 1)

Roscoe Talbot |

Roscoe will cough and double over in pain a bit. Hey there, from your uniform your in the Edgewatch? My name is Roscoe Talbot. Roscoe will hold out his hand for a handshake as he holds his side with the other hand.

Aeric Hiderous |

Aeric will hustle a bit once he sees the amount of blood on the area and the players. His eyes will flick around the area as he shakes hands.
Aeric. Aeric Hiderous. Formerly of Postern Gate, but now here. He points to a set of medical gear. I was coming on a day off to see the animals, and hear the roars. Does anyone need assistance?
healing: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 2) = 10

GM TK-421 |

Unfortunately those that need the healing cannot benefit from a medicine check at this time. Its about 20 minutes for Rocky, 30 for Ialtag, and 50 for Roscoe.

Aeric Hiderous |

I thought that might have been the case, but figured I would throw it out for somebody. I already see Continual Recovery and Ward Medic in the next couple levels.

Agent Ken Mason |

"Nice to meet ya Aeric. We've been getting hit pretty hard here and could use the backup. I've done what I can to patch these guys up, but it's not exactly my forte. Not trying to be a jerk, but could you gimme the short version of what you do? It helps me figure out where I need to be. We can get the longer version later after work is done. Grab some drinks and recoup. Swap stories, all that." Mason holds out a hand towards Aeric, with a smile on his face.
Mason is -almost- always going to be in his human form, just as an fyi

Aeric Hiderous |

I figured with the quotes, the fox form was going to be hidden.
Aeric readily shakes hands with the arm not holding his buckler. Sure. I was mostly working by the Postern Gate. I mostly spend my time as the vegerinarian and veterinarian out there. Not really busy treating the plants and horses, so I would make up stories about the people coming in and out. I guess someone did not like the tales I told, or my guess was a little too accurate. So it was 'suggested' I come over here for awhile.
His Studded leather, buckler, and short sword have seen some use, but are not of the best quality. I am not really the best of melee. I just try to get lucky and use my skill of anatomy to make the best of my feeble blows. But I work best with a partner to help distract. And my buckler helps me stick around a little longer than people would think.

Roscoe Talbot |

Well thanks from the blessing of the Phoenix I do have a bit of healing. Healing flames so don't be alarmed and I also have other ways to heal as well, I am also not bad in using medical tools when I am not dying myself. Roscoe will chuckle and then grab his ribs.

Roscoe Talbot |

Hey Rocky and Ialtag get close and let's see if I can heal you up a bit.
Roscoe will take a deep breath and hold his hands out wide and you see a wave of flames wash over Rocky and Ialtag healing their wounds.
Healz: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Then Roscoe will want to take 10nfor a bit of a rest.
I also have 11gp that I can spend on potions and elixirs if there is a ship nearby

Agent Ken Mason |

i'm cool with Roscoe heading out to buy potions. the four of us here could potentially move forward while he's shopping and have him jump in when he returns. or we just wait and hope the "chaos" happening stays on pause for us :P

GM TK-421 |

There aren't any shops to purchase potions in the immediate vicinity (on the map). Roscoe could conceivably leave for a time to find an alchemist or some such who does have the right items. That would take time (30 min or so), so he would essentially be sitting out. It wouldn't impact his experience at all. I'll let you all decide what you want to do.

Aeric Hiderous |

Fine either way. He could state he is going be be 60-120 ft back or so, to give him a chance to just plink with Ray of Frost. Might have to worry about pulling something else to him.

GM TK-421 |

As a reminder:
To the northeast a large decorative pool lined on the north and west sides by benches serves as the centerpiece of the menagerie’s open-air exhibits. Rocks painted white to resemble icebergs stud the artificial pond, and oversized wooden cutouts depicting smiling penguins wearing top hats have been placed around the pool’s edges. And to the south east various creatures fill these rolling cages, many of them howling and agitated behind the bars of their enclosures. A statue of a monkey leans out of one cage, stone arm extended between the bars.
North of the concession stand is a wooden shed with a door on the east side. To the far north east is by far the largest structure which is composed of wood and is likely the main holding area for the majority of the exhibits.

Agent Ken Mason |

”One moment, and then yes. The pool seems easy enough to check.”
Mason will spend a moment pulling the unconscious dog thing into the booth with the other and shutting the door. Then pulling the cockatrice over to the ticket booth to see if he can’t stuff it safely inside there. if he can’t get in, he’s not spending a lot of time on this, just looking for a quick way to leave them somewhat secured
Heading to the pool, he’ll still be in his usual exploration activity of searching.
