Without a high diplomacy for this scenario, you basically have to pay everyone you meet a bit of the contraband you have (i.e. 1 piece of contraband to get information from an informant). Xiao is saving you those resources by having such a high bonus.

Totally fine; like I said, you aren't really skipping anything, you're just saving the "contraband resource" you were given. Saving the contraband isn't even part of the Secondary Success conditions.

Sorry folk, I haven't abandoned you. I have had various attacks of life the last couple of days and found myself just too mentally and emotionally exhausted to deal when I reached my designated catch up time last night. I have to run around today before being chained to my desk for Gen Con but hopefully will be back and posting at a good rate very soon.

That took me longer than I expected to get back. Just skimmed through the posts. Not sure I followed the story but see us in a fight. Thanks for botting me. I never crit with my scimitar, I really must have you roll for me more often.

General Story:
You're trying to find Tseka in the underground market. Rumor has it that she has been working with Aspis agents 'to do the bad things' (TM). Your underground market guide was a little pipefox who took you to where Tseka and the Aspis are based. With your disguises and social skill, you managed to get into the base without any confrontation. However, greed may have gotten the best of you as you attempt to defeat, or in this case, totally decimate, Tseka's alchemist (who does have a lot of important documents)

All these languages it doesn't know, but you forgot to include common! The mushroom is accustomed to dealing with the ratfolk that speak Undercommon and Tien, so it defaults to those, but it also has Common listed as a known language.
