Dranald and Dran'Thor use their knowledge of the planes as the Dwarves begin to physically pull Voth free from the vines as Prince Charming offers some words of encouragement. This al seems todo the trick as Voth is freed from the control of the demiplane.
During a brief lull in the action, Venture-Captain Torrsen silently converses with Fola Barun and his assistant Lirall. The peace is broken by a deep growl followed by the loud bark of an alerted Mahki. Seeing Lirall react, Torrsen follows Mahki’s gaze to the trees surrounding the glen just as one of them seems to uproot itself and step forward. “Pathfinders, to arms! It seems the Thorned Monarch still has control of this demiplane. We have to buy the ritual more time!”
The very trees around the you awaken, brought to life by the Thorned Monarch’s magic, and lumber forward to attack the Pathfinders.

Orin and Thulgrun rush one of the trees together to try and turn it to tiber before the rest can awaken and gather. Orin's pickaxe breaks through the bark, but it is resisted by the dense wood. Resistance to piercing. Thulgrun uses his body to block the tree from advancing as Dran'Thor takes to the air.

Charming sings quickly, and the nearby vegetation begins to stir. Leaves flutter. Stalks twist. And then they appear.

And a few snails too. The mollusks begin moving with supernatural speed, coating the ground beneath the overly-friendly tree with slimy trails of mucus before vanishing back into the underbrush.

The hooks fling through the air and impale themselves into the dwarves chests. as the third begins to curse worst than some of the sailors. It's blistering string of invectives seems to have a strange sensation on each of you.
