Where will you go, who will explore with you, what will you find? Find answers to these questions and more!

I am looking for several brave souls to first venture into an abandoned space ship. You are apart of a questionable crew, though this is your first trip with them. The Blue Magesty is known for coming back with loot!


Character Generation:
roll [dice]4d6[dice] add the three highest rolls together; 7 times, the seventh roll may replace any of the earlier rolls. Create a background for your character. The rolled stats may be moved around to best fit your character.

2 traits and 1 drawback. Another drawback can be taken to gain another trait. Here comes an interesting twist, campaign traits will come from the players. Look at Stolenlands, Wrath of the Righteous, and other regional campaigns for ideas. Please post the original trait as well. I will be adjusting them as needed.

Alignment. Please be concious of which you choose and why.

Background skills and feat tax adjustments are acceptable.

Level 2. HP max at first level then roll twice for HP, take higher of the two.

All Paizo material is acceptable. I however require links from the Archives or the pfsrd. All 3rd party materials has to be authorized.

Any race is legal, but obviously the less common the race, the better your backstory is going to have to be. This will be a general rule of thumb, I will allow most anything so long as you're willing and skilled enough to make it flow well with the story.

Starting money is rolled as if you are a 1st level character and multiplied by 3. Other powerful items are possible for you to start with or to find quickly in the game based on your background and hooks.

What I need from you:
• A complete character sheet,
• Short description,
• Short personality,
• Quirks and flaws,
• Background story,
• What element or type of abilities you have gained and some examples of abilities,
• At least one 'plot hook' for me to use for a side quest involving your character
• At least one NPC or PC that is important to you and why.

Free story Feats, an extra Favored Class Bonus, an extra trait, a simple or complex magical item are possible depending on your creativity and helpfulness. There is a high chance to gain a normal feat once you accomplish something unique and of importance.

We will need at least one leader type. There is a high chance of having a rotating leadership system unless the group can decide on a leader and second.

Daily posts are expected, Sunday thru Thursday, please post at least once during the weekend.

Because this is a PbP, encounters will be changed or removed and there will be more story and RP rewards.

The group will level as a whole, instead of handing out XP. Though there will be story awards given out periodically.

Abilities:

Theme Knowledge: Reduce the Culture check by 5 to recall knowledge about star ships, vehicle models and parts as well as hot shot pilots by 5. Piloting is a class skill for you. If it is a class skill for you at 1st level you get a +1 Bonus to piloting checks.

Constructed: Androids count as both Humanoids and Constructs for effects, taking the worse of the two options. Androids gain +2 vs Disease, Mind Affecting, Poison and Sleep. Additionally, Androids do not breathe or suffer the normal effects of Vacuum.

Exceptional Vision: Androids have Low Light Vision and Darkvision out to 60 ft.

Flat Affect: -2 to Sense Motive checks I make or that are made against me.

Upgrade Slot: Androids have a single armor upgrade slot in their bodies. Regardless of whether they are wearing armor they can add one upgrade to their bodies that can be added to Light Armor.

Spells: Intelligence Based- Spells Known[0:5 / 1:3] You can cast any spell you know at any time. You can switch out one spell each time you level. You can read magical script, or as full action you can identify any spell in a spell gem without normally activating it. A cursed or trapped spell gem will still trigger if identified.

Spell Cache (SU): Once per day you can use a device that you store power in to cast anyone spell that you know, even if you have ran out of spell slots for that spell. The cache is restored to full HPS if damaged when you prepare spells. If lost or destroyed you can do a ritual after 1 week that takes 8 hours to replace the device.

stored on drives or other digital storage media. You must pass your hand in the air near the data source, but don’t have to touch it or connect to it. Requested Information:

N1 looks generally human in appearance. He is 5'10” tall and appears like a lean and nimble human. The most obvious sign that he is an android is his blue colored eyes. He has tanned skin and dark colored hair.

Personality:

N1 is a generally happy personality. He is young as androids go and can come of as naive to some of how other races look at time and life. Due to his young nature he is quite curious and wishes to learn more about space and the various Pact Worlds he travels to. He has little ties to races beyond his fellow androids and so he is unsure about other races.

Quirks and Flaws:

N1 is naive to how the organic races operate. Because of that he takes great pride in being an android and becomes offended if people dismiss androids. He also has trouble keeping secrets from others as he has yet to figure

Background Story:

N1 is a new soul that was brought into being on the gas giant Liavara to assist with transportation of materials since he would be able to operate easily in the gas giant. He has recently been given more jobs as he has shown he is a skilled pilot and mechanic that have allowed him to travel to different worlds to learn more about the Pact Worlds and the creatures that inhabit it.

Element or Type of Abilities Gained:

As an Android and Technomancer, N1 is focused primarily on electrical elements.

Plot Hook:

N1 heard two Vesk discussing a business deal while eating at a small dive bar on the moon Osoro while he was waiting to transport a new delivery. On his way out of the bar a female Ysoki stopped him and asked him if he had heard what the Vesk were discussing. N1 thought nothing of the question and told her about the business and then went on his way.

Important PC/NPC:

Cecil- Cecil is an older android technomancer that trained N1 when he was first brought into shipping materials on the gas giant Liavara. N1 views Cecil as a mentor and father-like figure.

About the traits, Starfinder's equivalent of is theme. At character creation players pick a theme that describes who the character is in-universe (priest, pilot, diplomat etc.) Themes include a +1 to one ability score as well as bonuses to skills and other minor abilities that come into play later on.

It will be set in Starfinder's Setting, even though that is vast!

If someone took the rules of Starfinder to make a jedi, sith, or something else I would be open to it. Just be open with what you want and we can make it happen. Sure the Lore might not be completely there but in the universe of Star Wars I could find many people that don't even knew about Jedi or that they even existed.

Another question: considering a lot of the initial CC methods were Pathfinder-oriented, should we still roll for stats or use the standard Starfinder method of everything starting at 10, adding and subtracting according to species and theme, and then having 10 points to distribute among the results as we see fit, none being higher than 18 at first level?

I can relate, I'm in the middle of a ten-day stretch of work and am staying alive through a combination of caffeine and desperation...which is to say I haven't made a lot of progress on my character yet.

BIO:
Zephyr LOVES magic … maybe more than he should. But given his parentage, it would be tough to imagine otherwise. His mother was an extremely powerful sorceress, called a Mystic these days, and his father, well … his father is/was a Vizier from the Plane of Air. Yep, a genie.

When Zeph says he’s from Absalom, he means ABSALOM. Like Absalom, the city, NOT Absalom, the space station. Absalom, on the Isle of Kortos, raised by Aroden, the deceased god of Humanity. There isn’t a lot that made it thru time between the ages, but wishcraft is pretty mighty. It wasn’t that his parents weren’t in love, they were madly in love, but the laws of magic cannot be broken, and to have the son she wished for, his father had to create a consequence of that wish. He told Estrella their son would go where he was needed most, and she would go to care for him. Zeph was placed in her arms, and when his father kissed him, everything they knew was left behind.

Which, young Zephyr has zero intention of accepting. His overarching goal in life is nothing short of temporal summoning; a completely unproven theory that with enough knowledge & power, an entity can be summoned across time. He wants to spend even a moment with his father, and he has no intention of being stopped. Magical from the moment of that kiss, his mother has loved watching his power grow and hopes her son will fully live his life even if he cannot pull his father across time.





and yeah, I will probably want him to start with more gear than this, but it's hard to type into the app ;)

What classes do we have so far? I don't want to accidentally make a redundant character.


So far we have 2 technomancers, an envoy, and an operative. I am tempted to make a Solarian so we do not have two technomancers.

I'm torn...do I play mystic to be our healer or do I play something more combat oriented to be our muscle?

With my stat spread I'm tempted to build a rock star solarian ... it's a concept I've wanted to get off the ground for a while now. A drow from Apostae with a beef against House Zeizerer as a punk rock, void metal front man swinging an axe of solar fire.

First I want to start this off with a positive note: I appreciate all of the players that have stuck through my hard times. I know my absences can be trying at times.

To sum it up in as few words as possible I am sorry for the lack of communication. I have been dealing with depression, the new school year, and making sure none of it affects my priority #1: my son.

Yeah work has been crazy as a lot more work has been put into teaching these last two weeks.

What I would like from the players that are still around is what you would like to see in the near future in our game. A simple post will let me know you are still there but more the better!

I have date night with my wife tonight. So I plan to make some major posts and then continue updating later in the evening.

I am still interested in the campaign. I have very little experience in Starfinder so I would love to just see what it has to offer.

But take care of yourself first. I know how crazy it is at the start of a school year!


Likewise, RL gets priority.

I am not looking for any grand adventure, necessarily, just a chance to get into the world from an occupant's point of view, rather than a GM. Give me some characters, a story, and a threat, and with enough motivation, something magical will occur.
