I'm a librarian and found that this was a pretty good representation of my new persona. NovelEnigma is also a play on words with Novel meaning book and new.

I have a few questions about the scenario:

1) The Adventure Background section includes the following history of Gregaro Voth: "...the Monarch spun an illusion of Voth's death. The guides witnessed Voth being torn apart by Fey and dragged off into the Jungle. And so, according to the Pathfinder Society's Official Records, Voth died that day." This seems to contradict the text of the other metaplot scenarios for season 1.

For example, 1-20 p5 says, "...[Voth's] last mission aimed at finishing the Pact [he] had once failed at. However, he failed again and died a year later in Absalom in disappointment." ... p1 of that scenario says, "Gregaro Voth returned from the expedition defeated and dispirited and died a year later of unrelated natural causes." Similarly, p3 of 1-00 has the (mistaken) history as, "...Gregaro quietly filed away his notes and never published the group’s findings. He died of old age a year later, and the Open Road Pact was forgotten."

Which is the correct false history?

2) Can the GMs be given a rough/approximate schedule of the adventure's parts? Dennis' original email said the timing is "generally 1 day for every 6 minutes allotted in the scenario", so that the schedule would be:

Intro: 2.5 days
Part 1: 20 days
Part 2: 8.33 days
Part 3: 13.33 days
Conclusion: 2.5 days (nothing happens here, I think)

That's about 45 days to reach the conclusion, or roughly Oct 20 or 21. Is this correct?

3) Does the Allied Offensive aid token affect only one attack by one PC? When is it used: before or after the attack roll is made? I.e. does the player get to know the attack is a hit before using the aid token?

4) Does the Provide Knowledge aid token's benefit mean, "Rather than roll the check for a Recall Knowledge action, you get a [critical] success instead," or "As a free action, you Recall Knowledge and get an automatic [critical] success"? I.e. does the PC using it still spend an action to RK? The scenario says that no actions are spent by the *giving* party.

There is some explanation for it, if I remember right, but I don't remember what it is. It doesn't matter for the purposes of this scenario (none of that is player facing anyway).

It will be something like 45 days (though we won't use fractional days). Probably something like 2, 20, 9, 14, 2. I'll post a tentative schedule soon, I just haven't had a chance to put it together yet. If this run is anything like last time, we'll be done early.

Yes it's one attack by one PC, and yes the player gets to know if they hit before deciding to use it. Also, using an Aid Token does not take an action.

All of these Aid Tokens represent another Pathfinder running by and doing something to help the PCs. The PCs get the benefit of the success, but do not need to spend an action to get that benefit (the Pathfinder running by is spending the action).

So given that the House GM is managing this game across several Discord servers AND the forums -- how will the House GM announcements be handled? Are you going to post them in each and every place, or do we look for the signals here and move our tables forward as directed?

Since my 7-8 is empty, I'd be happy to make it a 1-2 or 3-6 if you think there's a chance it would fire. I've run in that tier, but I'd be happy to do it.

Hold off on boosting Aid Tokens (or anything else written in the scenario), per convention rules. Feel free to engage in introductions and roleplay.

If I don't have enough players for a legal table, can I recruit for another scenario and count it for the convention, or is it too late to offer another convention game?

Let me look into that and get back to you.

If GM Rainzax and some of their players are okay with it, you might be able to shift a few people to make two legal tables. There's only need for one more person, but two would make the whole thing easier for the GM.

I was planning on describing them being on a boat. Would telling them where they are headed (i.e. the edges of the Mwangi Expanse, not anything about the Door of Seasons) be acceptable?

A note on the start time: Per Tyranius's email today, we can start on Monday the 6th at 12am GMT, which works out to be 5pm Pacific time on Sunday the 5th. However, I'm running a local con this weekend, and am likely to be GMing at 5pm on Sunday. I should have a break at 6pm, so will plan to post the launch text in your games then (I have it pre-formatted, so should only take 5 minutes or so). Feel free to post the introduction box text right at the official launch time if you'd like.

I'm definitely considering it but I'm in a limbo state for work right now and don't want to go over my bandwidth for running games. I'd offer a replacement game to running the special, but I don't want to over commit to running another game simultaneously if my special does fire.

Let's give it one more day, now that the limit on playing in one special has been lifted. If you still only have the one player, we can cut that table and you'll know for sure.

Great idea! I let my single player choose my replacement scenario should this occur, and as a result, I will switch to 2-21 In Pursuit of Water at the end of the day. If anyone has that scenario to share with me (since it's too late for scenario support), that would be great; otherwise, I'll purchase it.

I guess that's true for PDFs. I figured since it was being used for the convention it would be fine. My local lodge has all the scenarios printed out in a binder for GMs to use in-store but I guess that is a bit different than a PDF.

NovelEnigma, I had a player drop from my table due to not realizing the 3-4 and 5-6 level ranges are the same for replay ability. I'm not sure if your player would be interested in trying the special still or not (assuming they have another PC or the bandwidth).

Sedoriku, I've reached out to that player. If you confirm your player is dropping, please make sure they remove themselves from the spreadsheet as well (and let me know so I can pass it along to the other player).

Huh, They specifically mentioned removing their name shortly, but I guess they hadn't. I've posted in discussion and will PM them as well.
