Is Deadly Melody a spell? I do not see it in AON. I am not sure I understand how Dimitsi is doing sonic damage with a scythe. I am sure I am missing something here.

I forgot to ask when that came up last time, so I am asking now.

It's technically an unarmed attack. The summoner gets one free evolution feat at level one and Honzak took Elemental Heart that replaces the normal damage of his attack with a non-force energy type. It's why I use sounds to describe Dimitsi. The name deadly melody was just a way to describe it.

Technically Dimitsi isn't even using a scythe, it looks like a scythe but is an extention of his body and an unarmed strike.

They are super open ended for deciding flavor, literally you get a Stat line and an semi-flexible option for damages and that is it. How your eidolon looks or attacks is up to the player.

I think you caught my post before the stealth edit; it was 5 slashing not 11. So a successful save is going to put you at 13/20 HP not 10/20.

8 halved to 4 + 1 splash + 5 halved to 2 = 7 damage.

If that changes Honzak's turn, please edit it in.

I actually saw the 5 damage I just mentally forgot to halve it... I think at that damage he'd just go for a healing potion. Thank you for pointing that out.

Part of me was hoping for a cleric channel to watch every single enemy on the board explode at once… it would have been epic but also probably quite painful :p

How many should we give out?

I was thinking about it, but besides the inn servant who is a sadistic person and whom I would like to not give a token I don't know how to approach this.

The scenario doesn't say. You can give one to anyone helpful. Keeping in mind you are asking them to spy on their country.

I'd say you each have one and should hand out at least 2 or 3.

Makai would hand one to Matthild, a free person captured and sold to slavery. They might be interested in working against the current rulers.

I was considering Braderock whose family was taken to captivity after being accused of disloyalty, but I was not sure.

Daraj spent most of the time working with Junissa, so he would be inclined to give it to her. She was also "brought from the capital", so might not have warm fuzzy feelings after being shipped to the backwater.

I also feel like one of the priest's guards would be a coup, but I have no idea how to determine which if any of them would be a good candidate.

Lokoloko spends most of the celebration hanging out with Honzak and discussing pickle sandwich recipes.

He would give the token to the servant girl as well. She'd probably be the one who'd be more willing to spy on the Razmirans; and servants are "invisible" -- most people tend to ignore them.

My last attack gave me an idea... I think Lokoloko will start talking/whispering to his potions now before he throws them... that should give the appearance that he really has a screw loose! :)

So far, the token allocation preference is:

Matthild, the Horgat's slave (Makai, Denthor, and Salaish)
Braderock Brumm (Maybe; Makai's not sure)
Junissa (Daraj)
One of the temple guards (Daraj and Salaish [Aasif tended to be Priest Lumley's shadow, so he'd be a good candidate])
Bessama Lingler (Lokoloko)
Lotte Mayar (Salaish)
Mr. Horgat (Salaish)

So that's 7 names so far, we have a total of 6 tokens, and we should hand out at least 2-3. What are your thoughts? Some of mine are below.

Braderock Brumm may not be a good choice. He's likely under increased scrutiny because of his family, and he's clearly afraid of the authorities.

Junissa will likely be heading back to the capitol, making it difficult for her to keep in touch with the new Pathfinders in the Lodge without seeming suspicious. That said, if she could manage somehow, the inside info would be a boon.

Bessama Lingler is a toss up. Since she's kinda sadistic, she might turn on us just to see the looks on our faces. Her loyalty may have to be carefully maintained by the Pathfinders who come later, but she could be a very useful ally if truly secured.

I would suggest Sylvina Norritch, but she indicated that she's already being watched and limited by the government.

Lotte Mayar could be a good option. The way Priest Narsen was so oblivious to her contempt is indicative of how little most people would suspect her. And she could subtly mold her kids to have similar values.

Getting one of the Horgats (the richest folks in town) in on this could be a boon as well. Who would suspect the comfortable rich people? Plus, it may make things easier for Matthild.

This could be a benefit, if she is frequently at both the city and here. She will have more opportunity to discreetly discuss things while away from town.

Daraj is willing to be convinced otherwise, but is still leaning towards giving her his token.

You can give out as many tokens as you like, as long as the NPC is helpful… time will tell who keeps your secrets safe. It is not covered in the scenario. (I hope they follow up on this one someday.)

I really enjoy the project management portion of this one because every time it goes a little different. For example your cost and schedule performance went a lot different than last time I ran it. It's a tough schedule but achievable for most groups.

Also, without lots of successes on the fort and battle preparations, many villagers will die during the battle. You did well with a 100% survival rate.

Also, I realize this has been reported already and if it would change the reporting I'll refrain, but Honzak would have given Sylvina a symbol as well. She seemed like she wasn't heavily invested in the religion here.

Makai spends some days in the blacksmith workshop working the steel. She decided to make the proper metal elements for the wooden gate so that it does not fall so easily the next time.
