Following the trail of one of the first Pathfinders, the PCs travel to the town of Sauerton where an old ally helps them find important clues. Ned, being an old man, has little faith in his ability to jump across the pit leading upstairs. There appears to be a second stairwell, but he's fairly certain the kobolds trapped that as well.
"No harm in lookin'," he mutters to himself, and hobbles over to the other side of the room, stopping short of where the pit would be on that side if they were mirrored, and takes a look around, keeping his magical ward up in case of surprises.
Using the Seek action in a cone, directed southward on the map. Basically he's looking to see if there's a similar pit trap on the other staircase.

Emoubu raises a finger. "BUT, Emoubu wants to know what is in potion vial."
Duncan notices the odd cloth in the trap, but can't quite tell what it is. After a shift and a swing as he prepares to climb up his view shifts enough to recognize the magical wrap. Taking a chance he tosses his sword over the lip of the pit and starts to extricate the fabric.
The escaping kobold is just a little too fast for Khaul Irontoe - he decides to let it run away rather than follow it without the help of his party.

Duncan swings around in the pit while Aurelian threatens the captured kobold into speaking: It remains defiant in it's compliance "We got here first. Devil in the roof let's us stay. Nasty surprises await you upstairs!" it seems to be imagining your demise through unknown mechanisms, strangely confident even in defeat.
Other PCs (besides Aurelian) may attempt to Coerce it further
Both stairwells head upwards, perhaps twisting one around the other before finally converging upon the floor above this level.

"I suspect there be traps aplenty up here, and perhaps our new friend might be best placed to head upstairs first. Introduce us to that there devil and avoid the traps in the process."

As he does so a subliminal glow flows from his gauntleted hands, spreading under his armour, seeking out the champions flaws and fixing them.

Khaul nods. "Be just be leaving them more time to lay traps, unless ye be wanting to take a break?" says the Hammer of Torag. Well, in his mind anyway.
Failing even at trying to end his own life, the Blue Kobold grows despondent as the party ties him up (away from both Pit Traps!) and quickly ascends the stairs above, not sparing any time for even a short break!

"Ayuh. 'e said sumthin' 'bout they'll kill 'im if'n he surrenders. So the obvious choice is to die. Dumbest logic I ever heard, an' I heard some doozies in my years."
Leaving Blue Kobold behind, the party makes haste up the stairwell, making sure to steer clear of Pit Traps (especially Duncan!), and turning a corner, enter a hallway with colored runes, to which Aurelien quickly assures his party are totally harmless - simple paint is all. But he was wrong! Not thinking much of it, the party prepares to make entrance into the hallway - when two things happen: First, Khaul, in stepping on a "harmless" rune, incidentally triggers some sort of conjuring; and second, this hallway seems to be where the escaped Purple Kobold has prepared to make his stand!
A strange winged "bug" with a sharp pointed beak begins to materialize right by the dwarf - and what sounds like several kobolds wait around the corner - but Emoubu is the first to act!

Are you sure? It's listed under the level 1 options for School of Spells items, which is the Pathfinder Training I chose for him.
As for cantrips, the Cantrip Connection familiar ability grants an additional cantrip. With the 5 cantrips granted by being a 1st level witch, that makes 6 cantrips.
EDIT: Ahhh, I see the problem. I double-checked the PFS Guide and magic missile is not one of the available options, but it's listed as an available option on Hero Lab. I'll switch to the minor healing potion then, and make sure to report it on HLO as erroneous.

Gonna laugh if Ned's +4 makes him the leading survivalist. In my headcanon, I imagine his skills run more the length of foraging and the like, and less in pathfinding. Well, never too old to learn!

Finally got a chance to post! It's been a crazy couple days but I have an hour or two before more festivities.
If you're waiting on Ned's token, I added it. He's the crazy coot with the wild hair. A Rat (his familiar) doesn't come out except during daily preparations. Any old rat token will do if you absolutely need it.

I shouldn't need botting. Aurelien is on there twice now, so I'll take one away. As he's the only elf, I didn't think it would be a problem. I had mentioned it above.
The only change is the first stride should have been marked with Tumble Through for clarity. He would have made the tumble with the last of his movement and stopped when it failed triggering reactions. Then his second stride would have been to move around normally to set others up to flank.
