Alright, I feel a bit bad about accidentally misrepresenting Del's Poison State and her closeness to this bad state. I was seriously considering giving you the chance to retcon Melissa and/or Guess?'s turns to render Del aid. But then I noticed... Del's save roll was so bad that a +8 wouldn't have even helped.

Thankfully, you're not about to go into a dungeon and will have time to get Del back on her feet. It'll just take a little more creativity than you would have otherwise.

With dimensional storage space usually the issue isn't the containers capacity it's the opening. Guess or especially the fluffy lil ooze could fit in there no problem, jaraduk....we may need to trim the horns. Akh and Del? Thats a lot of crisco...

Once there you can turn on their armor seals and then even melissa is good for a day. (seals are easy to turn on and hard to turn OFF by design)

Dunno about the horns but maybe Jaraduk should give up the ghost on powered armor and make some room that way.

I just looked and noticed there is a Junkbot Grenade (level 9) that can be designated as a healing bot, with Medicine +12.

The grenade creates it as caster level 9. In this case it seems Del's condition is a little advanced for this guy, but it seems a nice option to keep around with Jaraduk's salvage grenade feature (something he and only he can use, and reconstruct it with 10m time available).

Melissa has a picinic basket of holding, an engineering score and has been living so far out in the boonies credits are useless anyway, and a unhealthy distrust for the banking system. She's been printing everything from mining picks to healing serums as needed.

It hasn't mattered before, but she has 1395 in cash. And I think for her that would be CASH cash not cred sticks.

I keep thinking I'll find time to get back to posting regularly and failing miserably. I know I don't have the time to post anymore, but I've loved this game and loved playing with all of you, so I've tried to keep it up anyway. But, it's time to say goodbye. Del needs to retire from the game, as I just don't have the time to spare right now.

Alright, interesting conundrum coming up here... starship combat. You just got a new ship and are about to head off towards the boss' lair... so you can guess that one is coming. And that there will likely be another fight or two in the final book. BUT... you started out as a balanced six party crew and are now a less-balanced four party crew. So... would you rather:

1. Choose new starship roles (AKA, who will be the Pilot now?)?
or
2. Narratively skip / hand wave starship combat for the remainder of the AP?

While normally I wouldn't be a supporter of outright skipping starship combat, I also realize we've lost two key roles throughout the course of the AP so far...

In my opinion, handwave the starship combat. While I like the system and I think it's fun real time, I feel it's a drag on PBP.

I’m okay hand waving it, but do any of the starship encounters drive different plot branches where the outcome matters?

But if we do continue with starship combat, here are the potential roles Guess? can fill:

Pilot +12
Engineer +19
Science +17
Gunnery +12 (I think)
Captain <-- As Melissa said, probably not so important with us being a crew of 4

Yeah, so we'd be looking at Guess? as Pilot with a +12, Jaraduk & Akh in Gunner, and Melissa as SmartRat. That would work alright, though combat would be pretty awkward/tough since Guess? would be needing to roll a 13 for most Stunts.

I'm a bit biased as to how Starship and PbP work together... but I'll wait for Akh to weigh in!

If Guess? were to take on the piloting role as a frequent, ongoing thing, maybe I can reshuffle some of Guess? skills to improve his piloting skill. Right now it is zero ranks and buffed up from jack of all trades. I had to do a skill reshuffle previously to bump up engineering when Strek left the party.

But I'd only do this if there's a frequent, ongoing need for piloting throughout the rest of the AP. Any advice on this one?

"The Thing" is definitely one of those enemies that has so much lore and it's all gated behind a single difficult Life Science check!

When you infiltrated Eline's office, the real Eline Reisora was watching the camera systems and saw herself sneaking in! She, being the sneaky exec that she is, decided to solve things the more difficult and secretive way: by sending in a Genereaver.

Born through pain in a clandestine laboratory on Absalom Station, a genereaver is a genetically engineered assassin. A genereaver is biologically unstable and must drain the genetic material of preprogrammed target to survive. In this case, the ever-disguised Guess? is it's target. How she got Guess?'s DNA? That's still a mystery. The Genereaver is an ambush assassin slash biological weapon, with a brutal poison and superb healing factor. It does have several unique weaknesses that only an expert in Life Science could find. The Genereaver lives it's whole life in pain, missing a key part of it's DNA. The only way it can find peace is by catching and draining it's prey...
