If they're not sets, with a bank roll from Akh and a promise of a very salty pretyzl I could bid on the grandchilds cloak (10k) with 6k of cash , Some finalized weapon sales (I get 1,796 each once the rest of the list is crossed off)
(there should be , and whatever akh can put up, and hope for an extreme discount on a low tier item.
Melissa snagged the repair kits (i can't find that item but they sound handy), a glass cutter, a zip stick+ duct tape, the clothes (she'll tailor them later), and a laser microphone. I WOULD feel bad, but the sellback rate in starfinder is 10% so its looking at the item if its handier than 1/10th its price....

I've got about 10k creds up for grabs, so take however much you need to borrow Melissa.

Guess? |

Took a more detailed look through the list and Guess? will pick up one of the switchblades and sonic pistol. I'll mark the slide.

Sorry, something came up unexpectedly. I'll probably have spotty posting another week.

Ha, I had so many comments I had to take it to the Discussion.
-Excellent usage of "Reisora", I've been looking forward to this interaction since that phrase first came up.
-Melissa, keep your rolls for your round but realign the blow since the folks are moving.
-Del mouthing I love you absolutely broke my heart
-Eline absolutely spotted you at the first interaction, but wanted to see if you would lead her to the stolen ship.
-Jaraduk, thank you for not throwing grenades... the casualties would have been awkward... though I suppose at this level none of the named NPCs would get hurt, just their flunkies.

As much as I love Del, and she's trying her best to be a good person, peer pressure has turned her into the worst sister ever. Eline legitimately deserves to slap her in the face.
Hey sis, sorry I robbed you, but we're super poor and my friends wanted to. Don't worry, Kalistocrats are totally wrong and I'm just stealing your ship, costing you your job, and ruining your reputation, your afterlife is still gonna be great, I swear. Also, you should totally let my friends and I rob your religion of a fortune and this barge. K thx, bye!
Del would like them to hug it out.
We will not get to hug it out.

..wanted to not be murdered by a psycopathic drow mob boss and needed to get moving in a hurry.

Emily from hazbin hotel. Melissa has a twin...they even share a color scheme.

There's definitely some good conversation happening here around the ship choice. A few inputs:
-It would be pretty costly to park both ships at a major port, so you'd be parking your secondary ship at some uninhabited location and risking it getting pirated.
-The kalistocrat treasure barge is not sneaky at all and is obviously a pirate magnet.
-You know the kalistocrats are coming after the treasure barge. You know Eline and Sinjin are coming after the Oliphaunt Last Chance. Up to you to decide which is scarier.
-For out of character game-balance reasons, you're not allowed to profit from the sale of a ship. So you're either donating one to someone for relationship credits or keeping one way out in reserve.
-Returning the Last Chance to Eline is definitely going to improve the chances of saving her relationship with Del. But... let's just say the rest of you don't have quite the same foundational relationship working for you. Also Eline's on the cover of the next book if that tells you anything. I really can't go into it much without spoiling the next book so I'll just say: returning the Last Chance to Eline will make a positive effect on both the group and (more so) Del's relationship with her. But it is neither 100% necessary to do so nor is it going to 100% solve that issue. How's that for a non-answer? :)
At the end of the day, the choice between the ships is mostly a roleplay one with slight costs & benefit consequences for either choice.
---
BUT WHAT WAS ON THAT DATAPAD?! That datapad contained the location and deep cover identity of every V-Spec verthani secret agent. It would have fetched a decent price, and led to many many deaths. That, obviously, would not have benefited your relationship with the government and people of Verces.
This again brings up the awkward truth that this AP consistently rewards evil choices with credits and harder skill challenges and good choices with nothing and easier skill challenges. Which is why our group is still mildly under-geared despite Guess? and the team's successful entrepreneurship that has brought in some extra creds. .

FYI: I am going away this weekend on a camping trip and will be away from computers. I will likely have signal but limited ability to post on my phone and with little time to do so. I will check all of my games before I leave and since it's just the weekend I hope for minimal disruption.
I will return early evening on Sunday (US/pacific) time and catching up and resume posting.

Oh woah, I completely forgot about the independent contractor item you mentioned here!

Alright... I've definitely lost track of the plot when it comes to Niva Rovu and the crew of the Wintermourn...
Last time you actually spoke with them, you were on Friendly relations. Helpful with Dizzy the dragonkin, helpful with Niva, and neutral with the other two (Jinx & Nemelith). Though you were Friendly, your relationship was more of a friendly competitor than a friend. As shown by them allowing you to escape but still reporting you to EJ. After that happened, the crew vowed to never forgive that betrayal.
Since you last saw each other you...
-Impersonated an EJ inspection squad, as Niva
-Gave Eline evidence to frame Niva for the theft of the Oliphaunt.
Am I missing anything?

Guess? |

That's it for now. After that betrayal, Guess? decided to just always use Niva's identity by default. That didn't really come into play too much in this book since Guess? had to remain disguised as Estriar. But Guess? is now defaulting back to using Niva as the go-to disguise.

Ok, sweet! That makes sense!!
---
Kind of an odd ending, with those narratives to tie up there at the end! You'd think the book would end with you riding off into the sunset, but they had to let you enjoy the moment before jumping into the next book!
Everybody, please level up to big number nine.
After you send off that letter to Eline and get rid of the Oliphaunt you'll get paid your end of book credits! Then, you'll each get to craft a bit of narrative around what your character does during their month in hiding as a hideously wealthy person. (I'll give you some structure for this, but feel free to start dreaming now.) Though you no doubt feel paranoid about this...

Hmmm! It seems we're along for the ride to the end of the AP. Book 4 was a real headscratcher in how much it asked players to just roll with the premise, but I guess it was all for the setup!
Akh's all leveled up. No major goodies except an extra use of reactive and the grab attention feat. What's interesting is that now that we're broadly being hunted, Akh might actually have a chance to use his theme's "legal corruption" to get out of legal trouble. Just need to liquidate several hundred thousand credits of loot first!

.. is pretty sure Guess? multi level marketing scheme, which will probably be literal with goblins, is less charity and more summon bigger con....
Haha! I had thought about that too! Guess? could turn this into a scheme where he would milk fellow goblins for money and get away with millions! But I figured that'd hurt goblins in the long run and would be too evil for Guess?'s chaotic neutral sensibilities.
Instead, this whole train up goblins for their own individual benefit by learning to be as exploitative as Guess? would be a pretty chaotic thing to do. And being neutral, Guess? isn't being too good nor too evil, but still derives benefits from the effort by having it all feed his immense ego.
Ahhh... A horde of Guess?'s unleashed upon an unsuspecting universe!

Vote Sin Jin. the lesser evil....

Guess? |

I'm leveling up Guess? His movement speed went up a bit and he's got improved initiative. Aside from that, it's pretty much the usual skill bumps.

Peak envoy! melissas improved hurry comes on this level. So she has a hurry get em going. I will have to see if enhanced means there's any reason to stick with envoy past 8 without the likelyhood of 12 (or 13th level) in the works.

I've crossed out all the stuff on the ship coffer slide and calculated that all sold, it comes out to 15078 credits. Divided by 5, that's about 3016 credits per person, which I've listed on slide 6, the individual income log. So everyone should go ahead and add those credits to their characters.
There were some items that I wasn't sure the sell value of, so I just moved them to the Second Chance list on the ship coffer slide.
Also, there are mk 1 magic resistor armor upgrades in the ship coffer list. I didn't sell those off yet because they seem quite good for Akh or Jaraduk? See if either of you want those and if not, we can sell those off.
Seeing the discount available, Guess? asks Akh, "So heya buddy, pal! Can I borrow 1824 creds for the moment? Will pay you back as soon as we well off some of our unused gear, okay?"
Guess? owes Akh 1824 credits, which he'll now repay. So Akh, go ahead and add an extra 1824 credits to your character. I'll deduct that amount from Guess?

Guess? |

Guess? purchased a null space chamber.
He'd also like to upgrade his sniper rifle but is short 3229 credits. If anyone else has unused excess credits that Guess? can borrow, let me know.
Alternatively, if anyone is looking to upgrade something but short on credits, Guess? has excess credits to loan out!

Jaraduk Cometrunner |

Thank you for computing the loot proceeds Guess?
I agree that one of us should use the magic resistor. Akh let me know if you want that, otherwise Jaraduk will install it.

Akh Xi |

Thanks Guess!
My saves are higher on average, so you should take the magic resistor Jaraduk. That's a seriously good upgrade.

Guess? |

It is very on par for Guess? to be constantly in debt to his companions...
Ha! True!
I should have mentioned the number earlier. Guess? has 6284 credits to loan out unless someone can loan him 3229 credits for the rifle upgrade.

![]() |

Maybe I should finally buy some real armor...? Nahhh... one of these guys will have light armor eventually.
MORE EELS! The new launcher has a 40 foot range...which is an absurd upgrade for a flexible line weapon, does a little more damage. Merciful fusion.
Feat: skill focus perception. Closest thing we have to a wisdom score we have.
Class: Imp. hurry. I'm now a fully operational battlestation envoy

Del Reisora |

@Guess? Yeah, Del's not making any purchases right now, so you can borrow the 3,229 from her to buy your rifle upgrade.
