Day--choose 1
1. Work diligently (+4 to one check)
2. Influence (normal check and attempt to influence 1 NPC)
Sneak (normal checks and make 1 perception check in the area they are working in to notice something unusual)
4. Shop (take -2 on daily checks to visit quartermaster store and talk with Cut-Throat to try and get items)
5. Shirk (take -2 on rolls to take 10 searching an area more fully. 1 perception check)
6. Steal (attempt to open a locked chest or door (must take chance on discovery)

Night---choose 1 during crew time. (can take up to 2 more in dead of night but will be fatigued if fail con check DC10 +4 per action taken)
1. Sleep (sleep through the night. Auto recover from fatigue)
2. Gamble. (play or gamble game of chance with other pirates)
3. Entertainment (make a perform check for the crew to entertain them)
4. Influence (per daytime)
5. Sneak (take 20 checking an area out but MUST take chance of discovery)

My turn i guess, but i have several questions:
-what is the light situation in the bilge? On R20 seems like it's dark?
-was Ming able to keep a small weapon or retrieve one by now?

Yeah it's a bit confusing right now. It looks like we can only see in our line of sight right now.

Ming has a dagger, so she can use that.

My question is whether I can use my move action for the previous round or did you move for me.

I assume that you are ruling that Drowning wakes them up, because of the damage taken when drowning?

but this line reads:
Unconscious characters must begin making Constitution checks immediately upon being submerged (or upon becoming unconscious if the character was conscious when submerged). Once she fails one of these checks, she immediately drops to –1 (or loses 1 additional hit point, if her total is below –1). On the following round, she drowns. It is possible to drown in substances other than water, such as sand, quicksand, fine dust, and silos full of grain.

My interpretation reads that they would need to make Con check until they fail, then immediately go to -1hp? Meaning a successful save still keeps them asleep.

Sleep

Sleep states only 2 ways to wake up: slapping and wounding. They are not wounded until they fail save; but, that makes them dying so...

Admittedly, I have a bit of time on my hands; until next week when I go back to work...lol.


I just take the rules regarding sleep= Sleeping creatures are helpless. Slapping or wounding awakens an affected creature, but normal noise does not.

Now I dont read that as you either have to slap or wound to awaken, but rather these are the extremes.

so I ask myself- if they were kicked would that awaken them? yes. wha about a good shove? Yes. What about a serious pinch? yes. note it doesnt say you have to inflict non-lethal damage.

soooo in my view anything that would be a 'shock' would awaken them.

and being forced to breath water is a shock. In fact you could easily say that that is more severe than a slap.

and it doesnt state these are the only two ways (slapping or wounding) it says slapping or wounding awakens which implies the extremes of what does it.


I took all the dynamic lighting off and put it on daylight mode so everyone can see everyone and you should be able to move between decks. Plus put 'to' indicators for you to know where to go.

Ill just ask that noone go to the places you havent been without being invited (captains quarters or officer quarters)


Ellie- I looked. All the settings for your character are good. Maybe reboot the computer and then check.

I could be mistaken, but I think the bout is GMMichael cleaning up the orphaned character.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't be trying to figure out if we can get her spared. We absolutely should. Just means I don't expect to succeed.

The funny part is, if I had to pick one of us to do this bout, I'd probably have picked Lily anyway. She's better built for this than most of us.

Terry has it right, and yep I knew that Lily wouldve been chosen anyway. lol so it works.

Lily is an evil character anyway, so in the grand scheme of things she would probably either join the crew (being orphaned) or because she is a barbarian and rages, she would get in trouble with the Leadership.

So I can tidy things up and still accomplish what the goal of having an encounter with Owlbear was. ..show how gnarly he is, and how ruthless the leadership is. Huzzah I can kill two birds with one stone.

my days off fall during the week instead of saturday and sunday. many times Ill work those days. If I take them off though at times I get so busy with real life and honey dos and appts that It precludes any gaming.

gamble was already taken up y the fight, as was the entertainment.

As for signals, I am thinking something non permanent, but also unobtrusive.

This way, The officers are not able to chase down the all of the intended mutineers at once by observing who is being talked to and is talking.

Also, if we have a meeting, we can get better organized, and have people play to their strengths as well as their locations.
eg. Destinie chats up the Quartermaster, and tries to get our stuff back over time, and such.

Thoughts ??

Des can chat up with the Quartermaster whenever she's free to do so. With how well we're getting the non-hostiles on our side, she can even do that for her night action.

I think hand signals would be best for us.


If Ming doesnt post by tonight Ill advance things tomorrow.
