Just then the sounds of footsteps on the stairs between decks echo and coming down the stairs are several pirates. The First wearing all black and carrying a whip, which he suddenly cracks as he comes onto the crew deck. He has a blood red bandana tied around his head, and his dark eyes look malicious and hard as he eyes all of you. he wears a skull amulet around his neck and a black trenchcoat that reaches down to his knees. He has brown leathers under the trenchcoat. hes got a sword earing ring in his right ear and a normal round one in the other. A thick beard covers his face and as he smiles several gold teeth can be seen. A Hand Axe and a Punching Dagger are in his belt.
behind him The first man that was with you comes in and behind him coming down the stairs are a half orc carrying a scimitar, a saucy red head with a rapier in her belt, A gnome with a mean smile holding a gnome hook hammer over his shoulder dressed in green and a red headed halfling who stubbs her toe and says Damn Fargin wet stair.
The first one smiles evilly at each of you and says
Suns over the yardarm ye filthy swabs. Get onto the deck and report to duty afore Capn Harrigan flays the skin from yur bodies and gives ye to Fishguts to make into sausages for dinner.
If anyone wants to reply post so. Once 4 folks say they are heading upstairs, Ill move everyone to the next deck so you can learn some of the layout and then once 4 say they go up the ladders to the main deck Ill move everyone again.

I know I was the one who put the original GM recruitment in but I'm going to drop out. I'm not feeling my character, I need to stop submitting her for recruitments. And I'm having family trouble recently so I have a choice between keeping up the games I'm running or the ones I'm playing in and I'd rather do the former.

I wasn't clear, I was trying for the sneak roll.
The first 2 rolls were for the job I was assigned.

Agreed. Health, Family, Work, then game. Those are the order that I usually follow.
My apologies for being absent for a few days. Been moving since Friday. And no internet connection in the new house (even though I'm in the middle of the city and my cell signal for inet was also nonexistent.
Cable Guy installed a modem this morning...and voila

They usually tend to go the other way for me. Surprised that I am not addicted to the rum right now. :)
I kinda want to try some gambling. And while I don't have any gold to gamble with, we female characters always have one thing we could offer up. If people are okay with introducing that angle into the game-- if not that's cool too, I'll try something else.

That will likely be up to the GM and how he thinks the NPCs will react to that, but if you feel that is in character for your PC, then I'm fine with it. Des is using more of a charm initiative that she's done in her past (and is not from that particular profession) and I know Terry as a follower of Calistria is more than happy to do such a thing. I don't want people to be pressured into that.
For physical activities along those lines, fade to black and slight mention of where they are going and why with nothing explicit.
The only issue I feel with that activity on a pirate ship, is once the door opens ...its unlikely to ever be shut with the crew...it categorizes the character in the eyes of the crew and there is likely to be a lot of untoward advances after that. so Id think twice before you gambled it.

Agreed on the explicit stuff fading to black,
I agree with the GM that on board ship, it could lead to all sorts of awkward issues that you might not want to deal with, or which could leave the rest of the party in a bad spot trying to sort it out.
But in the end, it is your character, but think it over.
IIRC, the royal navy crews in the 1800's gambled with their daily rum rations.
My thinking was that we'd more or less get categorized that way among pirates regardless, especially since we're newcomers, so might as well use it to my advantage. But if that's not the case, I certainly wouldn't want to be the only one.

The only one I can think of with that reputation for now is Des and that's with just one crewmate for background reasons and one she's trying to shake out of. If that is what your character would want to do, then you are free to do so. Just know that it could lead to issues for the party involved.
