Engashez moves into the room and reveals himself to the crowd. He gets his first two words out before the kobold on stage screams, "TRAITOR! TRAITOR TO YOUR SKIN! YOU WILL DIE!"
He turns to the crowd and screams, "THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT FOR YOU! TO TURN YOU INTO THEM!!! I WILL SHOW YOU ALL HOW TO FIGHT, WITH GUILE AND INTELLIGENCE. THE KOBOLD WAY!"
And with that, he disappears from the stage. Literally. The crowd goes from Booing Engashez to Cheering for their leader.
I will allow you to keep that roll for any later diplomacy efforts with this tribe, but it will not work for what you intend it to here.

I'll cast Resist Energy (electricity) but need to see who is near me to cast it on.
GM TOP |
Ruinor, I actually moved you up with several of the others before starting combat, you were even farther back. The chief had stopped any of you from entering earlier, so the group had been kept outside the theatre. Engashez and Voices managed to sorta work their way in a little bit, but at that point initiative started.
Thyste chugs down to the dragon, taunting it to attack. It just ignores her, preparing to unleash a gout of electricity.

The cleric and bard move up, one just getting into position and the other yapping away with inanity. The pathfinders are used to it though, so only the rest of the kobolds in the room are affected.
The dragon yawns, teeth gaping down towards Thyste but doesn't seem interested in attacking. It looks bored.
On the stage, a large cloud of vapor coalesces, preventing anyone from knowing what is going on up there. You don't see a spell being cast, but it's probably some sort of fog cloud.

The elf pauses for a moment to see what the issue is when he sees Thyste walk right through the dragon. "Well that explains why a dragon was helping these creatures," he thinks as he reconsiders his next move.
"Engashez, if you aren't going to move forward, can you move back here to the door to make sure the chief doesn't slip past us while invisible?"
If Engashez moves back to the door, I'll double move up the aisle. If not, I'll block the door.

"F@!~in' called it!" whoops Thyste, grinning as she makes her way toward the stage. "Hey, what is it with you little a%#%$@%s turning invisible? Last guy did that and-- oh, s#~%, I forgot to murder the hostages."

Ruinor sends his crossbow flying, but the target is too small and the bolt deflects off some sort of magical barrier strengthening his robes (mage armor, probably).

Crackling lightning surges forward, blasting into Thyste and Garsita. The Kobold cackles and steps back further into the mist. The entire central isle is scorched with small flames licking at the carpet from the blast.

Voices drives his earthbreaker hard through the kobold chief. It is resisted a bit, but the angry nagaji is just done with this fight. The chief reels back and then trips over the damn cat he just now noticed.
Garsita waves her weapon into the cloud but connects with nothing.
The Chieftan stands up insolently (this provokes from Voices, Cat and Thyste) and calls out, "The COWARDS are trying to strike me down using pitiful cats to help! NEVER SURRENDER. NEVER GIVE UP!"
The crowd had gotten silent, waiting to see who emerged from the fog cloud but they cheer at the words of their Chieftan! He is still alive! A chant begins to rise up, "Kibizax, Kibizax, Kibizax..."
He steps away from the cat and aims another blast of lightning at where he knew Voices was standing.

Reflex Vs. DC 15: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
The Kobold Chieftain collapses to the ground, on fire!
The flames grow and grow, quickly incinerating the body like a gasoline flammable liquid appropriate to the pathfinder universe soaked pyre.
As the fire grows, the chieftain’s fallen body takes on a bluish glow and the sound of electricity arcing grows swiftly from a faint buzz to a loud crackle. Bolts of lightning shoot down from the ceiling, striking Kibizax’s corpse over and over, filling the room with the booming sound of thunder and a palpable aura of static electricity. The fallen reptile’s body is wracked again and again with electrical fire until a glowing dragon made entirely of blue electricity rises from the corpse and takes wing. The dragon circles the room once with a roar then turns into an arc of pure energy, shooting through the ceiling with a final thunderous boom.
Immediately afterwards, a small kobold in a recognizable blue cloak appears at the back of the stage. Her voice rings out loudly to the crowd, "Our Chief has fallen to these mighty warriors! But do not fear and do not fall to rage. If they are wise, they will parley with the new Chieftan of the Sewer Dragons, Yiddlepode! If they are not wise, then the entire might of our tribe will quickly crush them."
