Such wonderful woman who had just wanted to see the world. Oh what a wonderful day. I still write to her. Anyways, she shall commence the proper burial ceremony of recently laid to rest.” Wadley will begin drawing the symbols and laying the proper markings.

Memory Tender is stout and strong. She wears a sleeveless cloth shirt and a long animal-hide skirt, and she has a satchel worn with a strap over her shoulder. One of her arms is heavily tattooed from her shoulder to her elbow, featuring scenes of skeletal animals. She tends to speak somewhat enigmatically and can seem as if her mind is elsewhere at times. Her spirit animal is a vulture with black feathers. The vulture perches on a ledge nearby during the council meeting, watching for trouble.

"Wadley it is, correct? Your path is very different than mine but I understand the wisdom that you show about the past!"

1 Success!

Knowledge (Religion), not the best but since I'm already at this point might as well keep at it. 1d20+5

Brie seeing that Lake at Dawn is off to find more refreshments, manages to snag a plate with fresh dates and offers it to him.

"She also speaks about redemption and this is one of the times that the society should certainty attempt at. This would give us a chance to heal the rift that has formed between the society and the tribes. This is also according to her teachings."

Brie really has her religious training present and before the council members leave to have a brief discussion among themselves, Lake at Dawn whispers to Brie with a smile.

"You have earned my vote!"

2 Successes and that is enough for him! Convinced!

Payah looks at Zhaasshar and the Captain.

He begins speaking while juggling three weapons from his pack, "You understand fighting..." he adds a fourth item to the rotation "...and maybe understand the intimidating glance of your ancestors."

One of the daggers thuds into the soft wooden beam directly above his head, precariously wobbles and almost falls down.

Payah ignores it and continues, adding a fifth and sixth dagger to make the rotation five total, "But we are here offering to risk our lives..." several daggers are now being flipped behind him, easily being caught on the downturn "...to restore what is right. And you convinced me of your worth!"

At this last word and a gasp from all the dagger above plunges towards his head.

With a last fraction of a second twist of his head his teeth snap shut around the dagger and he gives a grin, the other five weapons resting comfortable in his hands.

~~ PHASE 4 ~~

After some discussion, the council members each head towards their private chambers for a moments deliberation of the matter.

The council reconvenes soon after, taking their places atop the platform and begin the democratic process of voting as requested by Cousins to All. The first two votes in your favour being Cousin to All and Rollicks in Waves to nobody's surprise followed by Flame Stoker announcing his “no” vote. Lake at Dawn also votes in your favor.

Payah against the Wind looks at Kemchet and shakes their head.

It seems as if Kemchet was able to pull Payah away from you! Your success decreases to 3.

The other two join Kemchet and shake their heads as well.

Cousin to all nods at you and then addresses the council.

"We have not come to an overwhelming majority, yet. Maybe the Pathfinders can speak with you all personally to earn the respect of the overall council?"

Memory Tender and Togimal in Shadow nod.

~

Rollicks in Waves seems disappointed when he joins you privately. He raises his hands as your murmurs begin, "Alright Pathfinders, easy now. You still have your two final arguments. Listen well, sometimes an opinion can even be swayed at the last moment."

Wadley goes through the entire ceremony with memory tender walking through steps needed to lay their dead to rest. He then puts the skull away. “My father was an undertaker as well. He was an elf so you can imagine his life span of how many he had to lay to rest in order for them to move on. It’s very unique with your people ceremony because it continues many years after they are good and buried. You have to go back every year and provide for the ancestors and make sure the dead continue to lay rested. It was always fascinating to have a ever lasting funeral shall we say.” Wadley will continue to talk about the comparative burial process demonstrating his knowledge to Memory tender. SAVE YOUR BOON. :-) You have 5 votes now.

Memory Tender, Payah and Lake at Dawn are swayed and Togimal is almost at the brink.

Kemchet is angry about that. "You aren't experts in our society, that's why you should just leave and let us do it."

Cousin to All claps his hands together, "Alright, that's enough time to make their cases. Let's put it to a vote and move along, regardless of the outcome."

COUSIN TO ALL: Yes

KEMCHET FLAME STOKER: Heck No

LAKE AT DAWN: Yes

PAYAH AGAINST THE WIND: Yes

ROLLICKS IN WAVES: Yes

TOGIMAL IN SHADOW: Maybe

MEMORY TENDER: Yes

TOGIMAL speaks, "While I am really on the fence here and I can tell my vote is the deciding factor..." his words hang like a noose "...they aren't the ones who did this and it appears they are doing everything they can to fix their own problem. I vote yes to allow the pathfinders access."

His vote is not important for success conditions as you have 5 votes already and you would have gotten him in phase 5 I believe.

~ ~

Rollicks in Waves seems very relieved at the outcome.

Cousin to All summarizes it for the group, "Then we have a majority, though not a complete agreement among the tribes as I had hoped. Nevertheless, the Pathfinders shall be given their chance to repair the damage."

Kemchet Flame Stoker angrily stomps out of the room muttering something that sounds very suspiciously like, 'Idiots, I'll show them all. They'll see!'

The remainder bow to you and wish you good luck in their repairs.

Cousin to Allgives the group the location of the Muschkal Sepulcher, suggesting you leave at once.

The group reaches the sepulcher around mid-afternoon, slightly longer than expected. They see an unassuming opening into the cliffside with large chunks of stone haphazardly scattered throughout the grassy area.

The pieces of stone appear to be part of the seal broken by the obviously not-careful-at-all Lumketul.

How will you all approach the opening? Do you want me to build a rough SOP for you all or just let everyone handle their own pieces/rolls/actions?

THE MUSCHKAL SEPULCHER

Unless noted otherwise, the Muschkal Sepulcher has the following characteristics. The ceilings are 20 feet high, and the areas are suffused with dim light from stones affected by permanent light spells and embedded at regular intervals in the walls.

Many of the rooms include Shoanti writings, which the PCs can attempt Linguistics checks to decipher if they do not speak Shoanti. PCs who speak Giant, Hallit, Thassilonian, Varisian gain a +5 bonus on their skill checks to decipher Shoanti writing because of similarities between the languages.

The primary goal to the VC gave you was to restore the damage that Lumketul did to the sepulcher. Remember that the VC gave you the scavenger stone to repair broken objects.

A1. ENTRANCE HALL

The gently sloping passage leads to a cool, dimly lit area. The air is damp. Animal bones, gristle, and long-rotten viscera are haphazardly scattered across the floor. Stairs to the east and west lead to slightly elevated walkways flanking the recess.

Doors lead away from the entrance hall to the northwest and southeast.

Scimitar 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 271d6 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 1 = 8

When Amadeus, Mozart and Brie move forward the large Ogres takes a swing with their greataxe!

AoO +1 greataxe @Mozart: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 253d6 + 14 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) + 14 = 20

AoO +1 greataxe @Brie: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 102d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 7) + 8 = 19

Mozart is hit right in the chest!

~

As Naevys gun explodes, Amadeus and Mozart attack but only Amadeus's thrust leads to a bloody wound on the hairy Ogre's chest!

Brie can also cut into the bald Ogre with her blade!

~

The Ogre now takes his greataxe to work!

Primary +1 greataxe @Amadeus: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 253d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 6, 2) + 14 = 24

After the first swing the cut on Mozart's back is so deep that he immediately falls unconscious!

Sorry! :-( 49 damage so with 37 hp Mozart is at -12/37 hp!

The hairy Ogre continues to hack into Amadeus and his greataxe sinks deep into his collerbone.

Iterative +1 greataxe @Amadeus: 1d20 + 15 - 5 ⇒ (20) + 15 - 5 = 303d6 + 14 ⇒ (5, 5, 5) + 14 = 29
CRIT? Iterative +1 greataxe @Amadeus: 1d20 + 15 - 5 ⇒ (3) + 15 - 5 = 133d6 + 14 + 3d6 + 14 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) + 14 + (2, 4, 4) + 14 = 48

Oh thank god that did not confirm. :-/

Then the bald Ogre that looks a little weaker slashes at Brie but she can dodge!

Primary +1 greataxe @Brie: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 132d8 + 8 ⇒ (5, 5) + 8 = 18

The Pathfinders at the front are very injured!!

"Argggghhh ... " the Ogres shout with malice in their eyes.
