A10. FOREST OF NIGHT

At the center of this room is a pit of flame, suffusing the area with a faint glow. A single passageway leads to the southeast.

Dc 15 Kn history:

This is the tomb of Silent Footsteps, a Lyrune-Quah hunter who roamed the forests of his people alongside his wolf companion, Hunts at Night.

Stealthy and precise, Silent Footsteps’s skills are renowned, and many Lyrune-Quah youth learn techniques pioneered by him.

When Hunts at Night died, her remains were stored within a wolf cub statue and kept in the Muschkal Sepulcher. Silent Footsteps followed many years later after a lifetime of teaching the art of the hunt, and he was buried in this room, honored with an everburning flame.

Shoanti or linguistics dc 20 :

Wadley sees Gerry III crumble. “Oh dear. Back to the drawing. Time for a new spell” Wadley will move 30 feet forward. His purple demonic claw begins to crackle with electricity and he fires a bolt of lightning at the golem and ink monster. 5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 4, 3) = 23 lightning bolt. Dc 16 reflex save

Brie feels her body hammered down but continues to hold herself up, the decision to not purchase any magical reinforcement aids were costing her dearly here. Vowing to get some if she survives this fight, she continues slashing her blades towards the golem and this time changes her blade dance to something more suited for parrying and avoiding its blows too.

The lightning bolt is hard to dodge for the large golem but the ink creature is better off!

Ref w/o modifier bone, ink: 1d20 ⇒ 81d20 ⇒ 20

And after the other heroes bludgeon the bone golem and ink creature with bullets and swords and their skill, there are only fragments of white powder and black ink remaining!

Combat over! The lightning bolt made the hp difference. ;-)

With the constructs defeated, there is little left to do here.

You have explored the whole complex, repaired the damage you found, and restored the items to their locations.

As you emerge from the Muschkal Sepulcher, you see the sun setting over the Iron Peaks. There is a team of Shoanti who just recently arrived.

One of the Shoanti bows with appreciation!

"Thank you! We are here to inspect what was done and reseal the site. It is best if you leave quickly. There are some that are not happy that you were here at all!"

Brie rolls her eyes up at Wadley's words. The man was obsessed despite calling it science. He was an able ally that she'll admit though to travel with one such as him still gives her chills.

As for Rel and Naevys, she was thankful for his healing and her offer of Mage armor but there are some things she was better off making sure she had her own. This was precarious and she was sure to make her own purchases or her own.

She was more then eager to take her leave sensing that the Shoanti might nit be too pleased with them destroying yet another piece of the site . Even if it was in self defense.......

Now for the really tedious part.

Before we depart, I have a small favor to ask. Is there a capable druid among those who are not displeased by our presence? I have a unnatural problem that I need help with.
