Seems that way to me, as well. Not sure what issues Veda/Hayato ran into...but Veda's last post was 11/4...and Hayato's last post was 11/28...

By the way, I see fire suppressors in three corners of the room, but not the upper left corner where the control panel is. Is there a suppressor tucked away in that corner somewhere that Zephyr could shoot on his turn?

Bummer about Veda. We have a solid core four but this fight is evidence that we're overmatched unless everything breaks our way. Could use another Soldier in this party, or something + Mystic for extra healing to support Jaeric.

Jaeric, if you have reach and can get into flanking with Zephyr, that could be helpful…

Also, Zephyr’s nanites are hard at work, but have repaired him as best they can so far (at -0 hp right now).

Would have been bad if Loomarch had hit you. His melee attack was pretty bad, but he had a grapple and kill you follow up.

I think Lorne might be able to kill the hell hound if he rolls spectacularly.

This is a killer fight.

GM, do you need Zephyr to take a different action for this round since his intended target was actually dead at the time of his turn, or did Zephyr’s attack occur at the same time and Zephyr’s turn is done for this round?

@GM, is there any value to Loomarch's armor? Is it possible to use it as armor without the special properties that bind a hellknight together?

The way it's written the armor only has value if the scenario is run in level 5-6. Fortunately we're not playing SFS official.

To keep balance, you'll still have to take the price out of your funds.

Monday I was handed a boatload of work. I'm going to be flat-out for about three weeks. I think I'll find a little time between now and then to set up the game, but not enough time to run it.

Male Ysoki Exocortex Mechanic

Hello all. I am happy to join the group to continue on when the game picks back up. I am playing Sparky, a ysoki exocortex mechanic xenoarcheaolgist. He isn't a combat specialist but since he been doing things alone he has found ways to cover for that weakness when things go south. However he prefers to stay hidden and ambush his enemies or plant explosives to deal with threats. But to really know that and more should be roleplayed perhaps.
He has the cheapest pulsecaster rifle but nice ysoki refractor armor he just got, but dressed in his shipbuilder clothing and looks tattered and well used. He is 3ft 8in with burn marks and some scaring on his arms and face. Chunk of ear missing. His exocortex has piece over his eye to create a visual interface with datajack port at base skull. He has on a nice backpack and some items hanging off the side and blanket rolled up on top wrapped all together with what looks like tape. A single clear stone rotates around his head.
I see the group is going to Absalom station so his background of working for Historia-7 in the Dataphiles of starfinder society may be a way to meet.
I don't mind the waits I never get to play so happy to be here. Umm never done play by post though so may need help with how things done here if that's ok.

Welcome, Sparky. Since you're new to Play-by-Post, you might want to visit the Gameplay thread (there's a link at the top of the page here), so you can read up on how we post in-character and interact with the GM. In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to drop them here and we can fill you in.

For the rest of the team, I've leveled up Jaeric (with 2 more mystic levels) and updated his profile. However, I haven't spent any of the 9K credits we were given...and, frankly, I'm not the best at picking thru the Starfinder equipment guides for good options for a mystic/envoy. So, for those of you who are a bit more experienced/proficient with that, I'd welcome any suggestions for better armor, weapons, gear, etc. Thanks.

Thank you for having me. I will check that out again and have spoken a little with gm about it. Combat will be fine just don't want to post to much out of turn during roleplay moments and downtime, honestly I am home with kids once out of work and able to post alot at evening and weekends.

Items for a mystic primary /envoy? Well there is the staff of healing to give an extra class heal ability, kind of expensive. But I think off top of my head the biggest things would be spell gems so if run out slots you have ability to cast spells still. Especially healing kinds. And healing serums Mk1 is only 50 credits but amazing outside of combat way to heal hp to full. Also just checked and there is a medobserver armor upgrade to give you life sense 10 ft and bonus to medicine checks and stuff like that.

Okay. I've gone with the following for now:

mk 1 ring of resistance (Fortitude) - 735 credits
mk 1 ability crystal personal upgrade (Wisdom +2) - 1400 credits
Lashunta mind mail I - 4250 credits

I've still got 2800 credits left, so I may pick up some spell gems or armor upgrades a bit later.

Sorry for the mistaken ID, Never. That's what I get for posting quickly from my phone.

BTW, Sensors give a +4 to computer checks, and the computer can give another +3 when not otherwise occupied, so that roll of 34 was at least a 38 if not a 41...
