Windsworn son of Galan Windborn |

Windsworn holds to his own counsel.
In his opinion, this elf who said to come to them as ally and supporter may have said those words as truth but this whole encounter leaves their interaction with a bad taste. He was a black robe after all.

Cevendyl |

he is not evil, just misunderstood
yeah the robe trope is a little tired ... like a really powerful magic psychology test simply determined that this dude is most suited to wear the Black and bear the influence of the black moon. This isn't any different than Harry possibly being sorted into Slytherin, lol, or having the letters LG next to the word Alignment meaning your character has to act like a schoolmarm. I was just putting together a character, who needs to be good (decended from a Celestial) needs to be Lawful (as a monk), and I'm honestly thinking I need to describe Gartner and Magic Quadrants to the party so they understand that he's in the lower right hand of the LG box. Or like come up with a new notation: L+G+ LG L-G-. Like a neutral evil character isn't compelled to do bad things, they just aren't opposed to them.

Windsworn son of Galan Windborn |

Yes but in character. He'a black robe! Just like why White robes tend to get away with evil stuff. Because they're White Robes. And also why the unregistered magic users are the robeless and therefore automatically dangerous.

Darth Vader does have black armour, good point!

Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |

I tire of this conversation and the insults upon my hospitality. Be gone! he says as he swipes his hand in a dismissive motion

![]() |

well that was a quick trip. I did say thank you and could we please get back to our task at hand. Anatoli says looking at the new people standing there and saying who are you and what are you doing here?

Windsworn son of Galan Windborn |

"Greetings. I am Windsworn son of Galan Windborne, a solaminc squire in training." Windsworn greets the elf even though he himself was confused about the situation.
"We are on a mission to escort Lady Telerin to the Conclave but we were waylaid and teleported by a black robe by the name of Terevalis Unctio of House Mystic to his domain before being sent out here. Pray tell, where exactly is here so as to allow us to regain our Bearing."
Diplomacy 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Dathius |

Dathius. comes a one word answer from the apparent human dressed in tattered traveler's clothes. This man walks with a walking cane held in his left hand and is shorter than most other humans. His hair is tinged with grey or possibly silver but it doesn't seem to indicate an age to this man. It falls rampant and haphazard across his ears and neck. He steps back when you arrive, bringing both hands to the ball on the top of the cane. I would venture that we are to travel together? I am headed to near where the Lady Telerin is going so I will join.
Also, need I bluff? I am not completely lying. I am headed "near" where they are taking the Lady but don't want them yet to know why.bluff : 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

I am Anatoli, a herbalist and healer who is also part of the group escorting the Lady Telerin. I am pleased to meet you one and all. Please lower your weapons. I am just as surprised as to our appearance here as you are. Anatoli says with a nod

Windsworn son of Galan Windborn |

Ermm that didn't happen. It was only in Discussion as a joke. Windsworn wouldn't do it as a squire. His late Master might Pull a Lord Soth just to smack him upside the head for that.

You all know that it was not the correct season for snow.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 To sense visual clues of time displacement

"I badly need to feel the stars right now ... I do not know the somewhere we have arrived, and I am beginning to think I do not know the someWHEN we have arrived at either."
Cevendyl has never expressed concern about anything, or really been all that serious about anything (other than swearing his oath to Windborn); right now though, the 'young' Irda is clearly quite perplexed

Dathius |

sense motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Something about the words but the intent of these new comers doesn't feel hostile or dangerous. Oh well, live and let live the mage thinks.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Windsworn checks if their equipment was with them, surely the elven wizard wouldn't be so crass as to rob them of their meagre gear would he?

Dathius |

Do you need the moons then like wizards? Or do you have another method of telling location? "My escort" was here then when I turned around he was gone. I have no idea other than qualenesti forest where we are. We were headed to the conclave. I have unfinished business there. the last sentence hurls forth almost in disgust.

As the birds begin to sing, suddenly the forest is awash in light and a cacophany of beautym as winter fades to spring. The birds sing:
Easeful the forest, easeful its mansions perfected
Where we grow and decay no longer, our trees ever green,
Ripe fruit never falling, streams still and transparent
As glass, as the heart in repose this lasting day.
Beneath these branches the willing surrender of movement,
The business of birdsong, of love, left on the borders
With all of the fevers, the failures of memory.
Easeful the forest, easeful its mansions perfected.
And light upon light, light as dismissal of darkness,
beneath these branches no shade, for shade is forgotten
In the warmth of the light and the cool smell of the leaves
Where we grow and decay; no longer, our trees ever green.
Here there is quiet, where music turns in upon silence,
Here at the world’s imagined edge, where clarity
Completes the senses, at long last where we behold
Ripe fruit never falling, streams still and transparent.
Where the tears are dried from our faces, or settle,
Still as a stream in accomplished countries of peace,
And the traveler opens, permitting the voyage of light
As air, as the heart in repose this lasting day.
Easeful the forest, easeful its mansions perfected
Where we grow and decay no longer, our trees ever green,
Ripe fruit never falling, streams still and transparent
As air, as the heart in repose this lasting day.

GM, correct me if any of this is inaccurate.
"Qualinost itself was destroyed in the war," says the elf curtly. "The dragon overlord collapsed the remains of the city, and the place is now a lake of the dead. The forests of the Qualinesti are home only to scattered communities and refugees."

" ... and yet these birds know the Bird Song of Wayreth. These are not just birds, they are heralds. They are annouceing our arrival at The Forest: it is time for us to go to the Tower."

Dathius |

A brief shudder courses uncalled across the shoulders of Dathius. Guess it is the tower then after all. he whispers just loud enough for those close to him to hear.

![]() |

well that is something then, at least we are in the right place. I would invite you to come with us to the tower of you have business there. I didn't expect birds to show the way, but here we are. Anatoli says.

Windsworn son of Galan Windborn |

"It is to the tower we had meant to arrive at after all." Windsworn shoulders his pack or what he had and indicates he's ready to go.

Dathius |

Lead on oh Lead on dearest dreary forest Dathius says with grim humor.

Windsworn son of Galan Windborn |

Windsworn takes his place besides Telerin and is ready to move on as well.

The Tower of High Sorcery at Wayreth is one of the five original Towers of High Sorcery constructed on Ansalon. Wayreth is set up with walls that are an equilateral triangle, with a tower at each of the corners each dedicated to one moon, and the Wayreth Forest surrounds the tower. The actual Tower of Wayreth is actually a cluster of towers that seem to flow out of the ground. Each tower was made of black glass that is etched in white and red runes. There is no weapon on Krynn that can mar or destroy these walls or towers.
There is a set of silver and gold gates located in the middle of the eastern walls that appear fragile but are in reality extremely strong. After entering through the gate, you enter an empty courtyard made of plain, gray flagstone. Beyond the courtyard are the four towers; a fore tower, a back tower, and two larger towers in the middle, 250 feet tall. It appears as if the towers are about to fall, but this is an illusion. The towers are actually two of the strongest structures on all of Krynn.
