Player: pippinTook
Character: Cevrik Brandleroote
Class/Level: Sylvan Sorcerer 1/Hunter 1
PfS #:139218-35
Faction: Grand Lodge
FYI, I used the "character rebuild" rules going from 1st to 2nd level to set it up as if Cevrik was a sylvan sorcerer for 1st level and just added hunter at 2nd. If I'd done it the other way, Dumpling would only be a level 1 animal companion instead of a super beastly (literally) level 2 :=)

I messed up by stacking archetypes incorrectly because I missed ONE overlapped substitution ability so this whole character doesn't work now. (Student of Stone wouldn't have kicked in til level 2 anyway)
I am going to take the free rebuild before level to to make an Unchained Elemental Monk instead (this is my first character with a point system so feel free to make suggestions as I learn). Might take me a day or so to finish because I'm watching a very young puppy
So sorry folks
Player: Khouri Potts
Character: Maud Stonespark
Class/Level: Unchained Monk (Elemental Monk) 2

Anything else you want me to note on your Chronicle (purchases, training, etc): complete rebuild because archetype stacking mistake...
I'll have purchases ready tomorrow too.

Aren't the scenarios from early seasons supposedly scaled to challenge 4 PCs anyway? Although some of the reviews seem to think this can be fairly deadly for a small party? I'm OK either way.
I am buying a wand of CLW & Mage Armor from the last chronicle, as well as hot weather clothes and 3 waterskins, and an alchemist's fire. I... think that's it. Unless I need a mount or something.
wand of Mage Armor (10 charges) 150g
hot weather clothes 8g
waterskins (x3) 3g
alchemists' fire 20g
150g+150g+8g+3g+20g=331g
1406.5-331=1075.5g

I had to work all weekend, and dealing with some emotional stuff at home, so I will post tomorrow.
Maud will probably try to "run" up the right arm/ shoulder area or something.
(Sorry I totally spaced about animals having climb speeds earlier - rough week.)

I'm planning out potential paths on the map (duplicated the slide) let me know if any of those look unreasonable. Basically, it will take me 3-4 turns to get to the upper cave mouth, regardless of which way I go.
I figured since the lower arms are horizontal, I can probably just walk laterally over them like normal because they aren't ledges?

Math on whether I can move Dumplington:
So Grizzly animal companions are medium creatures, and medium creatures maximum weight is 500lbs. My maximum "lift off ground and stagger" weight is 460lbs, which I assume would be appropriate for trying to lower him with a rope? Drag capacity is much higher.

FYI I'd never seen the word "Talus" before used like that, so I was very confused why you were talking about a foot bone (which is the most common usage), lol.
Here is the additional definition for everyone else:
Talus (fortification), a sloped portion of a fortified wall
Talus slope or deposit, a slope formed by an accumulation of broken rock debris, as at the base of a cliff or other high place, also called scree
Now ya know.

Hey I have a question - in neither archetype "Monk of the Four Winds" or "Elemental Monk" does it specify how many Elemental Strikes you get. The actual description of the feat says this:
Benefit: When you use Elemental Strike pick one of the following energy types: acid, cold, electricity, or fire. On a successful hit, the attack deals damage normally plus 1d6 points of damage of the chosen type. You must declare that you are using this feat before you make your attack roll (thus a failed attack roll ruins the attempt). You may attempt an Elemental Fist attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (see Special), and no more than once per round.
Special: A monk of the four winds receives Elemental Fist as a bonus feat at 1st level, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. A monk may attempt an Elemental Fist attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk.
Does the "special" part about number of times refer ONLY to Monk of the Four Winds? Or to any monk that takes the feat?

GM Mauve |

Hmmm..... the way I read it is two separate clauses. 1) A monk of the four winds receives Elemental Fists as a bonus feat. 2) Any monk may attempt Elemental Fists a number of times per day equal to his (or her) monk level. So you can do it twice per day as a level two monk.
Some GM's may read it differently though. I'll see if I can find an official ruling, but in the mean time, we can assume you qualify for the 'special' ruling.

Also: WOW scenarios go so much quicker than modules. That felt super-quick!
Well ideally I would like to check something off off my Concordance faction journal card, but I don't think watching Jamila's Djinn kill Hobgoblins counts as "Peacefully resolving an encounter with a creature with the air, earth, fire, or water subtype." and I could only make the Diplomacy check with a nat 20. So... profession check it is I guess.
Prof. Geologist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
I'm hype for Tyranny of the Winds! After that series though, I am going to take a break on this character for a bit.
Since we're losing another player, I think we will need to re-recruit. I suggest requesting players with at least 4xp so they can play through the whole series with us.
Here are the previous players who seemed interested - though I think Grax said he did *just* Sandstorm Prophecy so far, so he might want to jump in at the next one instead.
- Enchanter Tim (player):
Dominic, Human Magus, level 3?
Grax, Half-Orc Fighter, level 4?
- Ecthelien, Elf Arcanist, level 3/4?
UPCOMING:
Level 1 - Crypt of the Everflame (level 1 only; 3xp)
Level 2 - Murder on the Silken Caravan (levels 1-5; 1xp)
Levels 2/3 - The Sandstorm Prophecy (levels 1-5; 1xp)
Levels 2/3 - Secrets of the Endless Sky (levels 1-5; 1xp)
Level 3 - Caught in the Eclipse (levels 3-7; 1xp)

GM Mauve |

@Carlin, is Grax aka Enchanter Tim continuing on to the other parts too, do you know?
I can shoot Ecthelien a PM to see if they're interested.
With PaizoCon right around the corner (this weekend!), I'm going to take a few days off if that's okay. Will set up The Sandstorm Prophecy on Monday. Can also attempt to recruit one or two more people (or if you know of someone who would be interested, let me know!)

![]() |

i think he's gonna finish the trilogy with the group i'm in...we're in the middle part of part 2 not...\and to correct my earlier post...Grax was not in the first part...he joined for the second....his character pic looks the same as the guy he replaced...

![]() |

Ha, I came here to suggest the same thing GM Mauve did - starting on Monday.
Willard - that is a bummer :(
I posted a link to the Paizo Organized Play server for anyone interested to come here or PM Mauve directly.

Yeah its college graduation weekend here for four different colleges - so they needed a lot of bodies to make the sound/lights/video go... eh good money - lots of OT

Okay, updated Maud, Willard, and Cevrik's chronicle sheets here.
PaizoCon is great! Very worn out though. Even though I live within a few hours from Seattle (where Paizo is), have not been to PaizoCon before, nor any large convention for that matter. Enjoying the games, though not a huge fan of VTT gaming.
Will likely set up the next scenario on Monday! Have a great weekend.

![]() |

Excellent! Thanks
I only played 1 VTT game during the con, but it was fun. My character (Half-Orc Paladin/Skald) completely carried that scenario though - some really basic stuff like I was the ONLY ONE with torches.
whut. You're Pathfinders for goodness' sake.

Now that we have the new one set up, can we change this one to inactive? Thanks for keeping my campaigns page tidy :)

![]() |

It is showing as inactive for me now too, maybe I just hadn't refreshed, or there's a time lag or something.
Either way, good to go now thanks :)
