Ooo, I should look into things I can get. I'm sure there are things of use to summoner types or general clerical stuff.
If anyone comes up with anything specific they'd like to purchase before we get too far into the travel, let me know.

If no one has anything else, I'll move the plot forward this afternoon/evening.
Haven't had a chance, but will get some of the usual suspects... smokesticks, sunrods (mundane gear) and some food stuffs (cheese, baked goods, whatever keeps well - for the gifts).

For all you United States denizens or ex-pats:
Remembering what the country went through in 1776...
Happy Independence Day, Folks!
Trivia: Declaration of Independence was actually signed on July 2nd, but it was a Saturday. Was made official on Monday, the 4th.

Funnily, I hadn't used Momo's real name in a near a year.
Happy fourth, people. Too rainy over where I am for a light show.

We personally are fine, some friends of my mom had their house hit however. Only material damages luckily enough, but still a scary situation.

Yikes. Glad you were able to make a post, but definitely take care of yourself! Seems like a rough time for many of us.
Yoltzin's player lives in Texas, as you saw above, and was indirectly affected by the flooding.
For myself, Friday afternoon I left work with the beginnings of a pretty severe tooth-ache. I started my car, and it seems the vehicle is now relegated to a max RPM of 2500-3000. It shifts just fine (probably not transmission) but getting up to speed going up hill is SLLLOOOOOOWWWW, and St Louis, being between two rivers, has a lot of hills.
So Monday, I get to try to find a dentist, drop my car off at the mechanic, and get ahold of a rental. Meantime I'm on max doses of three pain meds.

What a terrible series of events for all of us huh?

Anything known to help with green dragons? Their acid, maybe?
Are we close enough to where the 100 disappeared to wonder if they settled this place or... are we assuming the settlement pre-dates them?
Uret Jet
That's still int he woodland propper, I believe. I'm going to take a look at items tonight and see if there are magical items I'd like to finalize purchase on for Yoltzin. I keep forgetting to do so.
Uret Jet
Alright this would be a really big purchase- probably done in the previous city- but what do you guys think of a wis headband for Yoltzin? I've 1700 on my own, I'd need 2300 from the group treasury to get it.

That is correct; you still have to cross the mountains (on a trail, this time), stop in Keep Mesa Norte to get a cart and draft horses (in case the mysterious "treasure" is found), and then make your way to the forest. This is just a stop-over before entering the mountains.

Anything known to help with green dragons? Their acid, maybe?
While discussing the possibility of encountering a green dragon, Zia would tell Djack she's seen accounts that their breath weapon is a cloud of highly potent acid.
Though she herself doesn't know the spell to defend against it, she's pretty sure Yoltzin could access a similar ability, if her deity is willing.
Protection from Energy is a 3rd level Cleric spell; it will grant 72 HP of acid protection.

Since no one objected, I'd go ahead with it. I'll deduct the 2300.

Allll good then. Also, I appreciate seeing one of my works in use! Thank you for your support, thiugh it's been awhile since I've had everything turned on.
Uret Jet
Shockingly low initiatives from everyone this time.
rando1000
Judging by the 3x3 size on the map, player is guessing we must be facing off against a young adult green dragon? We should be glad that you rolled really darn low on its breath weapon.
Custom build. Don't metagame too hard; you won't guess the stats. suffice to say the breath weapon is 6d6. But don't assume other traits based on that, because you'll be wrong.
rando1000
It does have reach, I sort of glossed over that in the first round. You could Acrobatics through it's space; the DC would give you right around even odds of succeeding. Failure would get you a Wing or Tail Slap AOO (it's lesser attacks).

Killed by a freak' dragon... what would Gramms say?!
"Damn son, that's a pretty badass way to go out not gonna lie. Sounds loads better than 'I died because I forgot properly to clean my arse.'"

Gramms is a tough broad!

I am giving Djack, or even Amideo, time to try and stay her had if they want to attempt. I'm not sure what they could say to turn her against the idea, but I don't want tobjust act fully on my own.
Uret Jet
To be fair, I thibk the meaning of that movie would be a little lost if it was "killing the Last tarasque".
Djack Nymball
Djack is mostly a "can't we all just get along..." kinda guy. Good heart and a bit of naivete.
That last bit, the naivete being somewhat the antithesis of Yoltin's this is life and death, this is how it works. The reality of it.
Uret Jet
I doblike the interactions of it all, their personalities bounce and clash well.

Man, you really have been giving us every opportunity to buy additional equipment and items! I do think you should all put it into some heavy consideration though, we do have a lot of GP in our pockets. I used some of it to offset a headband purchase, perhaps there's stuff you three can pick up too.
Djack Nymball
Eh, feels weird shopping for magical stuff.
With this game, I'm so story focused... not paying too much attention to gear. As long as we're assuming we have gear for the trek, I'm good!
Maybe a Survival roll from our trusty Gnoll!
Uret Jet
I get you, this game has never really been about chasing the magical upgrades. But y'know, sometimes they're helpful.

Don't read too much into it. Just want to make sure you have the opportunity before heading on to the adventure area.
Speaking of which, you were going to purchase a wagon and some draft horses. You can buy the wagon and 4 horses for 400 gp total, which I will deduct from party funds. That can carry up to 4000 lbs or about 100,000 coins worth of weight.
I mean 3x sunrod, 2x smokesticks and 1x tanglefoot?
easily accomplished, for the book values. LMK if you need me to pull from party funds for those.
