Doug -- the Magic Fang be on my own tail. Also... be it possible to attach a handwrap of mighty blows to a tail? Nandipha loves that weapon even though technically the spear is better.

That means, I think, that I could move 1 square even action. But, if I want to Sneak, I move at 1/2 speed. So, it takes 2 actions to move 5'?

This feel off, but I want to make sure I am getting this right before I act

Oof, yeah, heavy undergrowth. That’s pretty rough but it seems right. It’s flat-footed to you because of rogue stuff now anyway and you can always hide again in the undergrowth after, without needing to use the Take Cover action.

You're also hidden to it now. I should have noted that in the stat block and will do so going forward.

Biltri, there should be a map. Do you not see it? Is anyone else having technical issues?

Thanks for the clarification, Nandipha! The tail doesn’t actually have the Unarmed trait, but if that were going to be your character’s primary weapon for the module I am fine with it. (By the way, it seems bizarre to me that the tail is an unarmed attack without the Unarmed trait).

Now that I am re-reading it, the handwraps don't actually use the Uarmed trait either. They just say "unarmed." So, I think you can use them regardless! And of course you can flavor it as wrapped around the tail.

Biltri, I swapped the backgrounds last night so maybe that caused some weirdness. It looked blank on my phone too, and I had to quit the app to force it to reload.

I keep checking Amazon to see when my copy ships! Will you be reading from different parts, or the same one, at each event?

Also… there's a competing Vampire gaming group too!? I feel like you should have definitely told me this before. I love everything about this book so far!

I see there is an ebook version, but I am not certain from this on how to purchase it so I can read it on my Kindle. Can you assist me with this?

Hmm

EDIT: Wait. Doug mentioned Amazon. Perhaps I can purchase it there.

You can just delay too. You can still be hidden.

Yeah, incapacitate won’t affect anyone here, you’re too low level. I could have excluded it from the traits.

Edited my post as Baux and I crossposted.

FYI - I have noticed that slides don't always refresh properly on a mobile devise... especially not on my ipad.

So what i have had to do it back out of the specific slide, and refresh (by dragging down). Then when I go back in it is often working again.

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

You would have seen your friend get petrified, thus removing Dethor's flank (meaning he can't sneak attack).

I assume that would be a priority, so if any of you want to revise positioning so the rogue can move into a flank, you may do so.

Female Ganzi Dwarf Amateur Hireling | +5 Skills

Can I do that even if I already moved?

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

Yeah. In narrative time, you saw Biltri get petrified and then went. So you can revise as you see fit.

Female Ganzi Dwarf Amateur Hireling | +5 Skills

Okay, I have moved to a different location within my speed. This gives Dethor some options.

NG M Forge Dwarf Barbarian 4 | HP (81) 74/74 | AC <20> 21 (22) | F +11 R +7 W +9 | Perc +9 (darkvision) | Stealth +1 | 20 ft | Focus: 1/1 | Hero Point: 1/3 | Active Conditions: toughness, deny advantage (L4), resist fire 2

You technically should be able to stand in my square since I'm incapacitated.

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

Hmm. That's an interesting point. Petrified makes you an object, though, and you can't normally share a space with objects of certain sizes.

Quote:
You become an object with a Bulk double your normal Bulk.

- Petrified

Quote:
A Small or larger creature or object takes up at least 1 square on a grid, and creatures of these sizes can’t usually share spaces except in situations like a character riding a mount.

- Size, space, reach

That's how I read it, anyway. Let me know if that doesn't seem correct!

I'm not sure where everyone is at this point.

I moved up to beside Biltri specifically so that Dethor could flank with me if Biltri got petrified. Did Nandipha take that flank, or is it still open?

As for Mobile and Google docs, slides, sheets: I've found that leaving the document, swiping down, then re-entering gets the up to date document. That is the fastest way I've found to do it.

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

The map is correct now. Nandipha took that spot but then revised the turn; probably hoping Biltri would make the save (after all fort… barbarian with a hero point…).

The flank spot is now open for Dethor, and as far as I understand the petrified rules Biltri's square isn't a legal spot.

We're all set!

Double my bulk!? Well, he's not going anywhere. ;)

Reading deeper, I would have to be prone (so tripped, unconscious, or dead) to share the space.

FYI - the ganzi smashing tail does not have the Agile trait, so has a normal MAP.

So, Nanphida's 2nd attack would be a 21 not a 22

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

When we played this two of us got petrified (including my oracle). It was a very tense moment waiting for the GM to roll that d3 in Roll20! (He got a 2.)

It's definitely a severe encounter, though not noted as such in the module. Good work!

I look at it as getting the battle done faster and preventing a second person from potentially getting turned to stone.

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

Darkness is a 3-action cast but let's go with it as is for now. I was posting on mobile earlier and answered Nandipha's question without fully realizing that constraint when I should have (Recall knowledge + Darkness would be 4 actions).

I'd rather not retcon more parts of turns and add further confusion to what is a pretty simple encounter (you also just had a really tough one).

However, let's make note of that 3-action cast time for the future!

Female Ganzi Dwarf Amateur Hireling | +5 Skills

Ah, thank you! I will fix that on my sheet!

I had it mistakenly as 2 actions, which would easily make it the best spell for a darkvision party to have in their arsenal. At 3 actions, it will be much more challenging to use. But at least I know that now!

The bugbear may come out of delay; he beat you in initiative. So I am trying to see what the first couple players up do first. I am anticipating him coming out and breaking up the initiative order.

So I took the Water Walk spell today.

Assuming I cast that on someone, how would it work if they were walking on the water going through the flume? Difficult terrain, Difficult terrain and it automatically moves them, something else?

Asking now so that when my turn comes up I can figure out who to use it on.

Track has the exploration tag, so that would indeed be impossible if fatigued. I imagine you would be stumbling around the forest. It would also preclude hustling, and the bugbear has higher movespeed than you. You're not quite there yet but will be fatigued shortly after this combat.

I also welcome creative solutions.

That's good to know. Lucius has a 35 move speed, so he could probably chase this bugbear and get close enough to at least range attack. But that sounds very tedious to me.

Lucius doesn't have the bloodlust for that anyway. He is in the "We'll get 'em next time" camp.
