You know, I *almost* feel sorry for the kobolds.

It must feel like we are hounding them at every step.

Would it take a Society Check to know about the Sewer Dragons and that they have a Pathfinder Society connection? I am really feeling like giving these guys a better direction in life would be the right thing to do.

Sounds good. I don't want to foist combat on us if we're not comfortable or having fun fighting kobolds. I may make the check slightly harder than your DC by level as they are members of this evil cult, however.

I am fine with fighting kobolds, tends to remind us that we have progressed.

It is more about the kobolds we displaced. If these turn out to be the same ones as we displaced, then met along the road — do want to kick them again. At that point it feels wrong.

They aren’t the same ones. Its clear these are different; these look a bit tougher and there’s no wizard with them but a trapmaster instead!

Don’t mind improv on non combat solutions here; the rest of the module is pretty dungeon crawly.

In general, I am willing to suspend disbelief, etc., if it is needed for the context of the game.

Besides, there can be "good" kobolds, and "bad" kobolds. These happen to the be the bad kind.

I guess technically you don't need a free hand to Force Open, just your body, and can also technically use your weapon. Oh well. Though (successfully) knocking a portcullis down by shoulder checking it would be cool to witness.

I am not familiar with reactive rage. Wounded rage lets you react to rage after taking damage, but you didn't take damage yet. Perhaps instead of changing grip you could have just Raged as an action.

They also just armed the trap and its in initiative somewhere: unfortunately you can only disable it on the ceiling 10’ up or at the control panel (2 actions to turn off) reaching through the busted grate)

I imagine its broken but you still have to reach through some twisted metal along the wall and find the right button.

Peek behind the screen: there is no guidance in the scenario on whether you even CAN deactivate it from the panel; 2-actions like a standard disable but auto success seems fair to me.

I acknowledge this trap is kinda BS. The way it's set up sort of railroads you into fighting through it and into the kobolds' den. The whole party got all kinds of bunt up after missing the spot check and then got shot up by the kobolds when I played, and the GM had the switch hidden in the far back.
