In the past round, we are still missing Tik's shot. It is encouraged by Harmony-6 (so gets +2) and is going to hit the starboard side of the enemy ship => result in them doing a barrel roll.
I will finish the starship combat after 2 more rounds (so mid-next week) and move us to the next part.
I will check the board today in 8-10 hours, and see if Tik has posted and resolve his shot. I will be away till Monday/Tuesday next week 5-6th of April. I might be able to post something but don't count on it, resolving starship combat rounds take some time so I am pausing my GM'ed games for this weekend.
Stay safe, and have great weekend folks!

I'm actually fairly certain I don't get to pick where it goes. The power is distributed evenly with the excess going to the forward shields. Rebalancing lets you move points around.
@Scruffy - you are correct. Before the errata ;) THen the Triune send a signal and Starfinder FAQ showed up
Page 323: Change the last sentence of the engineer's divert crew action to the following.
You can distribute the restored Shield Points across the shields' four quadrants as you see fit.
Unfortunately, the FAQ page does not allow for deep linking which means that I can't point to that particular section. But in the Online rules the text is updated to reflect the changes => which is why I prefer to use online rules from aonsrd than actual CRB

That's what I get for checking my 1st printing hardcopy instead of my up to date digital copy. I'm not working from home anymore so I can't check things on archives. I don't think...oh dip. I can!

Failing to check the online rules was how Tik originally had a +18 (!) to his Stealth check for a trick attack. To be fair, I should have realized that Operative's Edge doesn't stack with Skill Focus, but I definitely missed the change from +4 to +1.

Live and learn!
Either way, you finished successfully the second quest of the four. Congratulations!
Sorry for the wall of text in the gameplay, feel free to ask any questions in the meantime. At the end of the quest, I want to wrap things up and ideally give you the briefing for the next part. As otherwise, you would be waiting for another post from me to move things forwards. If you feel like this is too rushed let me know.

Question, should I roll for disguise? I think our strategy is more about blending with the crowd rather than disguise ourselves like something or someone specific.

GM Farol |

Ok, folks let me sum up what there is on the map and what you know and suspect.
- On the Northern wall you see three doors (yellow arrows), one guarded by a pair of Vesks and two behind the bars manned by Verthanis. The guards seem to stand there not really leaving the post. The bartenders serve the orders and you didn't saw them going through those doors (but waiting long enough you might)
- The red arrow doors are marked with 'fire exit' marks. You can clearly see that they are connected to a most likely fire alarm. You might try this way by trying to disable to alarm and sneak out, or run through those doors triggering an alarm.
- The green arrow doors seem to be used by musicians, and you did see people going in and out.
I just want to point out that there are many ways out of the dance floor letting Scruffy stop doing the robot dance ;)

Anyone happen to have an instrument in their pocket? Or something that looks like one?

Did we get "hey there are frozen androids in here!" across comms or anything? Just want to make sure Harmony isn't flat out ignoring the important bit
Yeah Scruffy would have mentioned it, but it sounds like we can not revive them and the chambers are too bulky to move, so I didn't actually post anything about it.

Just to make sure, are the enemies dazed or dazzled. If they are dazed, maybe we should just walk out. If they won't be doing anything for 4 rounds we can get away easily. If they are dazzled that's different, though I'm certainly all for leaving faster then they can fight us.

![]() |

OH! Yeah, I totally missed that. Of course, our characters won't necessarily know how long they'll be out of it. To be clear: Twila-4 isn't planning on starting a gunfight if the team can exit quickly enough to avoid a confrontation. She's just taking precautions at this point.

GM Farol |

Ok, So the scenario speaks about being dazed, however it does not make much sense so I will settle to dazzled (overstimulation of lights). Now you still might try to sneak out of the place, but I want you to consider your PC motivations here.
- You heard that Karelite Bogdin is trafficking androids
- You know that he holds more than 10 androids in the transportation pods
- You know that he was reported to authorities for trafficking at least a week before, but here he is operating.
Having all of that in mind, would your PC really want to sneak out of there, letting the club owner operate?
FYI. The scenario forces PC to fight Bogdin, leaving the moral part of your PC irrelevant.
But let's say that given the evacuation you might be able to slip out of the place. Would you do it? Knowing what you know.

Huh. She disappeared towards the end of our last mission, too. Hope everything's okay.
Twila-4's thinking he's scum, but would rather not start a fight when her targets are between her and the exit. Other things to consider: clubbers in the crossfire and the fact that our group didn't plan for what to do in this case, so it'd be foolish to assume they'd all be ready for a shootout. That's what's flashing through her head for the next few seconds.

Yeah, I hope everything is ok. With regards to PC considerations, they all sound valid. I just want to emphasize some thoughts that your PC might have knowing what they know.

GM Farol |

Hey Folks,
So you've completed the 3rd quest. Congratulations. I will now introduce you to the 4th and last part of the scenario.
From now on, I will assume that Mel is not coming back, and I will not bot her. That would give her a chronicle for completing 3 quests. I might still bot her for the final fight, as there is no adjustment to 5 PC teams.

GM Farol |

No worries, it is not that you will drown in methane and never get out of that planet... right?
;)
Btw. I am doing all those skill checks in one go, as otherwise, they would make this game even longer than it is. Those kinds of skill checks go rather quickly around the table but in PBP they tend to slow things down considerably.
One last thing, tomorrow I might have trouble posting. I am taking the day off and heading for a few hours trekking. So expect the next update on friday.

GM Farol |

Chronicles are here Please have a look and check the details if they are correct. I might have made a mistake.
Thank you all for the game, I hope you all enjoyed it. If you have any feedback for me please let me know.
Stay safe, tomorrow or the day after I will report the game.

My Chronicle shows 1 Fame and 0 Reputation for the four quests altogether. Is that correct?

GM Farol |

I was under the impression that the Fame was fone from Starfinder and should no longer be added to the chronicles. But I could not find that post. And I saw that all chronicles that I got had the +2 to fame on it. So I corrected the chronicles.
@Twila-4 your chronicle should have +1 XP, +2 reputation and +2 fame. Check the link above

Thanks a bunch! I enjoyed running through these quests, and you did a good job of keeping things interesting. Good job!

GM Farol |

I am glad that you liked it, I will mark the chronicle as inactive after scruffy comments that everything is fine, or after a week (whichever comes first).
Either way, this was one of the first GM runs (the second table of 1-16 that I am running, 3-4 tier is still going). I am glad that you liked it.
I tried to speed up a few skill checks in the 4th quest as I find them difficult to RP when the only purpose is a set of tests followed by even more of them. And I prolonged the encounter in the club as I find it crucial to the whole questline, there is an aspect of going backstage, discovering android trafficking, etc. The way how I read this scenario it would be the most crucial element of the whole story.
From the storytelling point I also struggle a bit with Kanavu, the dragon is a cool enemy, with an interesting aura, breath attack, etc. But in a quest line where all pieces are connected, Kanavu is just a powerful being that wanted to find the mausoleum and stuck there. And you stumble upon him.
Anywho, see you around the boards
