As I suspected, the party will attempt to commandeer the walker! I'm fine with that but to be honest, it will be of limited use in the next mission because of map constraints.
However, because it's an alien vehicle, there will be some penalties:
But all of the above aside, I think the idea of taking over the enemy walker is a pretty cool one!! I'll throw the above points plus the stats of the walker itself into a slide for easy reference when I get the initial post up for the next mission!

GM bigboom |

On a different note, can everyone please take a look through the current slide 1 and verify your details please? The information here is what I'll place on your chronicle sheets so please make sure everything here is accurate. Thanks!!!

![]() |

Kōlēfō is not terribly concerned about efficiency. Worst case, he jumps out and does his normal thing.
Slide 1 is accurate for me.

GM bigboom |

Raia, which Second Seeker faction will you want credit for on your chronicle?

GM bigboom |

Alrighty guys, I'll be out for a few days.
GM Aerondor, if you can please pick it up from here, that would be great! We're at the beginning of round 3 and it is the players' turns. Thank you for the back up!!!

![]() |

ok, so it sounds like we have done all that we can do, unless we repeat a mission. So we are likely done as I don’t think we want to repeat a mission.

![]() |

It's unlikely we would get killed, but it doesn't seem we would get anything from it, so why take a chance?
If we do repeat, the Pit would probably be over very fast, now that we know how to defeat the flying oozes.
How much time we have until Part 4 wraps up?

![]() |

Just until Sunday night. So it would have to be a very rapid set of posts. Probably not worth it, but happy to indulge if you want to.
Everyone can roll their healing (and I'm guessing it would be hp, as most of you have taken a 10 minute break for your stamina already).

![]() |

I'll take my 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6) = 13 HP and move the token along.

GM bigboom |

GM Aerondor, alrighty, I'm back on line and will take over. Thanks again for the backup!!
Everyone, you guys whipped though the perimeter mission quicker than I expected, RNG's aggression towards DuQuesne notwithstanding!
So yes, the table has completed all three missions. At this point, you have the option to repeat any of the three of your choice. Doing so provides bonuses that would help other teams, like the "Weakened Herald condition" Tyranius announced earlier.
The other benefit would be that if enough "extra" missions were completed, then the scenario could possibly come to an end earlier than the scheduled time. For example, if you look at the success progress chart, you'll see that we're actually just 1 mission success away from completing the entire scenario!
In the back of my mind I was thinking to possibly drop you back into the landing site mission where you'd go all demolition derby with your captured walker against the jinsul walker. That seems like it'd make for a pretty cool scene... Although it would almost certainly destroy your walker, possibly breaking Kōlēfō's heart.
But yep, we're nearing the end of the scheduled time for this special so as GM Aerondor said, at best we could get maybe one round of one mission in. Happy to throw something up if anyone wants. The chances of anyone actually getting seriously injured in a single round is pretty miniscule. However, that being said, Sarankahn does seem to have a knack for attracting injuries!!
Otherwise, we'll get some concluding announcements to this special in about a day or so.
Congrats to you guys though... you've all whipped through quite a few missions this special. I've never played in nor GM'd a group that moved as quick as this one!

Well GM big boom, I would like to thank you for running this for us. You did an amazing job of getting through so many different scenarios and missions. This was my first play by post and I had a blast! Thanks again for your efforts, they made the experience memorable and you have set the bar pretty high for any future PBP.

GM bigboom |

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you had a good time!
There are, however, many many creative PBP GMs more experienced than I around here (including the illustrious GM Aerondor who lent a hand as our backup GM) so I suggest trying out more PBP games when you have a chance!
Also, I find that specials tend to be combat heavy with strict time deadlines. So they get a bit rushed with little time for RPing. If you enjoyed the special in PBP format, give a regular scenario a try... One of the advantages of PBP is that the slower pace also gives participants a chance for more RP, depending on how much one likes to write.

![]() |

Oh, don't sell yourself short. I've no more novas than you do. And getting through all those encounters at the rate you managed is pretty impressive.
Good group!

![]() |

I wouldn't say no to one chance to fire the cannon...
But as everyone says, this has been a highlight of the con, and I've had a lot of tabs open for it. Definitely hope to make weird references in another one of your games. Thank you!

GM bigboom |

Righty O!! I've thrown up the landing site mission again! This is purely just for fun at this point as the special will be ending soon. Feel free to have fun with this last round or two!

GM bigboom |

Congrats again! For this special, everyone earns an extra SS Jadnura and SS Luwazi rep point.
Hope everyone had a good time and your chronicles are here: CLICK
Please take a look and let me know if there are any corrections or additions needed. If not, then please drop a note to indicate that all is good. Once I've heard from everyone, I'll archive this thread.
Thanks everyone!

Amazing game GM Bigboom, great work.
Wonderful play by the rest of you as well. This has been one of the most enjoyable specials I've taken part in.
Chronicle note: While I'd love to have almost 5k to build a level one PC with, I don't think the numbers are that high.

GM bigboom |

Raia, I should have clarified with you earlier. Do you want to use this chronicle to:
1) apply to a character when that character hits 8th level, or
2) apply to a newly created 1st level character. In this case, the credit reward will be lowered to 720 credits
If you're going for #1, then this chronicle should be all set unless we mistakenly specified the wrong character #.
If you're going for #2, then I'll adjust the chronicle down to 720 creds.

GM bigboom |

Everyone, I'm going to slip in one shameless plug...
I'll be GMing a PBP game at PaizoCon Online 2021. If you're not familiar with PaizoCon, see details here: PaizoCon
And if you're interested, the game I'll be GMing is here: 3-19: Rat's Repentance

Option Number The DOS! (#2)
Thanks again all!

GM bigboom |

Raia, I've updated the chronicle. Take a look and let me know if it looks okay now?

![]() |

Woo, Overcome the Past is nice. Kōlēfō will almost go straight from 5th to 7th level since he was a Scoured Stars Veteran. Can you adjust the sheet to reflect that (which I think means 4 XP, 7 Fame, 7 Acquisitives reputation and 16340 credits)?
I definitely want to plat Rat's Redemption, but PaizoCon is out for me this year. I will be keeping an eye out for you around here, though.

Perfect!
I will not be playing at PaizoCon but wish everyone the best!

The chronicle is good, thanks for GMing!

Got it! I've adjusted the chronicle accordingly. Take a look and let me know if it looks okay.

The way I read it, I was expecting to get the benefits of the boon in addition to the normal rewards for the adventure - just live everyone else gets 4 Fame more than they normally would - similar to how the bonus chronicle sheets from PF1 modules worked. Hence 7 XP etc. If I'm wrong about that, the numbers seem fine.

GM bigboom |

Ah yes! I believe you're correct. Sorry for the mix up. Take a look at the updated chronicle and see if it looks okay now?

![]() |

Perfect! Thank you for running, and to everyone else for a great game.

GM Valen |

Agreed, GM bigboom is an awesome GM and his PbP games are well-worth seeking out. Already snagged one of the spots at his PaizoCon Rat's table!
Thanks, GM bigboom, for keeping this special fast-paced and whole lot of fun!
My apologies, but Sarankahn is also a Scoured Stars Survivor who should be getting the 3 XP, 5 Fame and 5 Rep for this mission. He was 12 XP and 23 Fame going into this scenario.
Also, if you would please note on the chronicle that I used the Seeker of Knowledge boon from the Jadnura faction to replay for this scenario, I'd appreciate it.

![]() |

another shameless plug, I will be running three SFS scenarios at Paizocon 2021. They will all be using Fantasy Grounds Unity VTT. If you want to know more, let me know. Hope to see you at Paizocon! Thanks everyone this was fun.

GM bigboom |

Everyone, thank you again for the kind words - it's much appreciated! I'm glad you had a good time!
Luvara, good luck with your PaizoCon games!!!

Sarankahn, rewards and note added! Please take a look at your chronicle now and see if it looks okay?
