GM Quirk |

Greetings, brave Starfinders! This for an Outpost IV game, and will begin on or about February 16th.
Most of you have heard this before: please plan on posting at least once a day. We may slow down a bit on weekends, though I hope to be able to at least make a GM post or two even then. Suffice to say, I think we're all doing our job if we're getting 6 posts a week in, and that means we'll finish this in a timely manner.
I will need the following information from you:
1. Your character's name, class, race, and level.
2. Your organized play number + character number.
3. An email address for me to send the chronicle sheet.
4. Slotted faction.
5. Day job roll (if applicable).
6. Please put a "bot me" expression on your online character.
7. Instead of simply "dotting in" over at game play, please feel free to post a short background for your character. It can be a short description, or it can be narrative in form.
8. (Optional) A little bit about you as a player might be nice. I always enjoy getting to know the people I interact with here. On the other hand, I know some also appreciate the anonymity of the internet, so feel free to skip this part.
A little about me:
My name is Alan, and when I'm not playing games with all of you I'm working at a community television facility in the midwest United States. I live at home with my wife, two teenagers, and Chef Brian the cat.
I have been playing and GMing RPG's since 198coughcough.

This will be my first PbP for Starfinder, so we'll see how it goes. I GM a game in person and played Seska at a table at Paizo-Con online last year.
I'm in the Central Time Zone in the US.

Need to update his sheet since he just leveled last mission.
Live in midwest with my wife and three kids. The two teenagers are not into online RP, but the 11 year old just recently started on SFS and has enjoyed it so far. His character is in-mission, but may be freed before we start.

Looks like we're going low tier. I'll sub out Tofana for HFG-5-309.

5. Day job roll (if applicable). Sadly, none.
6. Please put a "bot me" expression on your online character.
7. Will do.
8. Been playing about as long as our gracious GM. I live north of Boston, MA. PbP is my only gaming outlet these days, so I really appreciate the opportunity to play with all of you. I've played with GMQ before, and I like his style. I think we'll have a fun game.

8. Been playing games all my life, started with that pesky D&D box set around 1977 or so and never stopped. I'm a professional nerd/geek working in IT. Living with my awesome girlfriend of 10+ years, have a grown daughter off on her own and most importantly, am owned by three cats.

7- Dr. Phlonxx joined the society in order to better study Xenobiology. He keeps a large array of plants and animals he can use to synthesis medicines and finds other species hesitance to use some of his more unusual curatives amusing. He is fairly even tempered, but will get extremely argumentative when it comes to the well being of those under his care.
8 Ive been playing Starfinder since it came out and RPGs in general for much longer. I live in Allentown, PA and am working from home right now so I should be checking our game regularly once it gets started. I'm enjoying being able to US PBP to find voice for some of my characters and to take time to reread rules before posting. I have a large stable of characters but only get to play one or two of them regularly IRL so I often need to refresh myself on rules and abilities when I bring a less used character into a game.

GM Quirk |

Thanks everyone for posting. I have been reading heavily the three adventures I am running beginning next week, and should be prepared for this. A link to some google maps will be coming up soon.
This looks to be a great adventure with a few interesting twists and ample opportunity for RPing and interesting combat.

Works for me.

![]() |

Yes, it works fine.
Oh and my history with tabletop RPGs begins in 2014/2015 with D&D 5E, Pathfinder society since August 2016 and Starfinder from beginning. Currently out of work.

...
Boons Slotted (All I have)
Dataphiles Champion
▫ ▫ ▫ Faction’s Friend (Social Boon; Limited Use): (gain rep if fail to gain fame)
Marked Field Agent (Slotless Boon): Glowing subdermal implant
Star Sugar Heartlove!!! (Slotless Boon; Limited Use): ... You can resell the album for 200 credits prior to the start of your next adventure. If you sell the album, cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet. Alternatively, you can decide to keep the album, which might somehow prove useful in the future.
I will sell the album and take the money.
▫ ▫ ▫ ▫ ▫ Skitterfriend (Starship Boon; Limited-Use): By taking part in the skittermander escape from Varkulon 4, you’ve ensured that these adorable creatures continue to help people throughout the galaxy—yourself included! When you slot this boon, it has two different effects, which you can choose to use during the course of the adventure.
Each time you play (with any character or GM an adventure for which you have not previously received credit on this boon, your GM or event organizer should stamp, sign, or otherwise mark off one of the boxes below, regardless of how many sessions it takes to complete the adventure. You cannot earn credit from a particular adventure (even a repeatable one) more than once. If you have multiple copies of this Chronicle sheet, you can only check boxes on one copy at a time.
• 1 box for playing 4 hours of quests, a scenario, or a 16-page module (not including this one)
• 2 boxes for playing an entire Adventure Path volume.
• 2 boxes for GMing 4 hours of quests, a scenario, or a 16-page module.
• 3 boxes for GMing an entire Adventure Path volume.
• 3 boxes for GMing at an event that received Paizo Event Support or a Regional Support Package.
Once you have filled 24 boxes, you earn the Nufriend Skittermander boon below, allowing you to build a skittermander character of your own!
GMQ, this boon has a bunch of check boxes. I'd like to get credit for this adventure. And if possible, could I twist your arm to credit me for the Threefold Conspiracy Game?

GM Quirk |

Sure, you should definitely take those checkmarks so you can get that nufriend! I'll be sure to make a notation on your chronicle sheet so you have the documentation in the unlikely event someone would want to do an audit!
I have my nufriend and I haven't used it yet, though it might come out this year. Right now working on the boon to get a Ghibrani, and I will be very close by the time April 1st rolls around.

That hot wire bit brought back an old memory from when I worked in a laser lab and I grabbed a previously discharged 'wire' which had -recharged overnight from atmospheric capacitance.
Ouch - 40,000V can make you sore for a week. Luckily one of the wires had some resistance or I would not be typing this message. :)

I have a similar story. My first job out of college was working for a regional audio-visual company (audio, projection, etc. for conventions and meetings).
I was in our warehouse checking some equipment, and needed an extension cord. I grabbed one, plugged it in, and threw the other end toward the center of the warehouse. When I got to the cable to plug something in, I realized someone had cut the end off.
It wasn't a dangerous shock, but my my arm hurt the rest of the day.
Also, I had a relative we would visit when we were kids. He had a small dairy farm, and the fences around his pastures were electric. I touched one, and again, my arm hurt all day. I got in trouble when I dared my cousin to touch it.

therealthom |

What is it about electric fences and dares? Friend of mine had cousins with a farm. The fence was off most the time, and we'd dare each other to touch it. One of the other guys finally got shocked, and I never had the guts to touch it again. And then there was the story about my friend's cousin who was peeing on the fencepost ....

![]() |

My wife works on a farm and we own some of the goats there. I help out sometimes on weekends and in the summer. I have been zapped by the fence several times.
My scariest electrical story didn't even happen to me. I used to work in a grocery store about 14 years ago. One day one of guys from maintenance was replacing some bulbs in the lighting rig that was directed at the counter I worked at. he was making some slight adjustments and someone his screwdriver contacted a bare live wire. I'm pretty sure the insulated handle is the only reason he wasn't thrown off the ladder. There was a copper coated gouge about 4 mm deep into the screwdriver where it made contact though.

Hello all. We are staying home and being boring for Easter weekend but my office room is being painted Saturday/Sunday. Might be slow on the posting. bot as needed. Have a nice weekend and Easter all!

This is part of a series all tagged with the Name Frozen Ambition. The next (and I think last) is tier 1-4 and is released at the end of the Month. Basically they did 3 mini arcs at different tiers and made the last part of each arc the next highest tier so you won't level out.

therealthom |

Everybody, thanks for a great game! I hope I'll see you all around the boards and we can play again some time.
GMQ, another great game. I don't know how you hold it all together, running and playing so much at once. Thank you so much for running this one.
Two things on the chronicle. First, thanks for noting the skitterfriend boon boxes. Second, I had HFG sell her Star Sugar Heart Love album. (Feb 19th discussion thread post) She should get 200 extra credits for that. I'll change the chronicle. I just wanted you to know, in case the chronicle police came to investigate.
