Unless I'm missing something, Monitor Lizards are Medium sized creatures without reach.
The demon begins laughing as a monitor lizard appears on the ground, out of reach of the flying creature.
"Mwaahhhh hahahaha! Is that little lizard the best that you can do? What do you think that's going to do? It can't even reach me up here!"
Carina turns invisible as the Captain rides up to Mykel and heals him. Lying on the ground, the wounded swashbuckler reaches into his pouch and pulls out a healing potion, quickly quaffing it.
The creature flies a little higher before casting another unholy blight spell centered to hit Meylara, Gurkagh and Andor. The air briefly fills with a cold, inky darkness.

Carina continues to slip forward, looking for where she can use what she readied to help tip the balance. With a snort of annoyance, She 'hurries' toward Raynor and his lizard. "Hold there for a moment. I have flight for your mount," she says softly as she stumbles though the cursed ground.
@GM - He can see me to target me with a spell? I have greater Invis up at the moment. You are correct on the size - I was initially going with a crocodile, which is large and didn't adjust the size after I changed.

Meylara flies to just behind Reynor and his gecko and casts Fly on the lizard.
The demon can't target an invisible creature directly with a targeted spell like oneiric horror, but Unholy Blight is an area of effect that targets within 20 ft of a grid intersection; pretty much exactly like fireball. The goopy eyeball rain functions just like snow, so anyone walking on it would also leave tracks that could help someone figure out the last square they were in. That and the fact that Meylara was just casting something and this demon has a pretty great Perception means its pretty fair that it would know roughly where Meylara was.

A large sea turtle appears next to Raynor, a glint of intelligence in its eyes. It is fully armored and it bows its head to receive Meylara's fly spell. It is not the first time it has done so it seems.

Another Gurkagh--older and wearing clean clothes--appears and tries to push the original Gurkagh out of the way of the cloying miasma of death! The original still gets hit by the edge of the cloud, and collapses into unconsciousness. The "new" Gurkagh smiles at the original and then slowly fades away.

The ocular hail continues to rain from the gray skies as the demon flies above the party. The gibrileth's spell knocks out Gurkagh, but he manages to survive the deadly spell. Meylara and Andor are also caught up in the blast, but both manage to resist the worst of the effect. A wounded Andor flies away to drink one of his alchemical creations. The Captain summons forth his companion, a massive celestial sea turtle. Meylara flies away to cast a fly on the new creature. Carina moves through the slush, trying to get close to the creatures. Mykel hops to his feet and climbs up on top of the Captain's mount.
The gibrileth flies a little closer to the group, and once again unleashes an unholy blight on the group of clustered adventurers.

The DCs to counteract this adhesive (to avoid being stuck to the floor, to fly, to break the adhesive, or to cast a spell) use the spell’s DC rather than a tanglefoot bag’s normal DCs. The adhesive persists for 2d4 rounds after you spit it.

Okay, there is a slight retconning we're doing here. See the discussion post. I'm just negating the tumor damage because I see the Captain has Mounted Combat and will be able to negate it.
Meylara moves in and bites the demon. Its thick flesh resists her fangs and the acid slides harmlessly off its skin.
The Captain charges up towards the demon and strikes the creature in its largest eye. The lance sinks straight into the creature's flesh, sinking almost a full yard into the blob like creature. A geyser of black and green sludge leaks from the monster but it still has quite a bit of fight left in it.
Mykel fires an arrow at the Gibrileth, but with allies fighting it in hand to hand combat, he has trouble landing a good shot and the arrow goes past it.
Carina feels sick from the dark magic cast by the demon, but begins casting a spell of her own.
Andor's adhesive spittle tangles up the demons wings and it falls to the ground.
The disappearing demon almost makes Carina lose her spell, her eyes widening in panic. Still, she forces out the last words of the spell, and a whirlwind coalesces into an elven-like figure. Carina, in a panicked tone, cries out to it, "We were just fighting a Giblireth! We need to find it before it heals up! " She scrambles forward some, casting another spell, so it can't hide magically.
The Azata shifts to a whirlwind of dust, before going to search the largest mausoleum in the area.

Mykel's arrow strikes the creature in the eye, but slides off harmlessly.
Cold iron doesn't do it for a demon this tough. You need holy weapons.
[ooc]OK, so I made the creature's last action under the assumption that unintended movement, including falling, does not normally provoke attacks of opportunity. I see that it is actually a legal gray area that was never resolved. And since I'm not sure what I think I'm going to make a minor retcon and have the creature make a concentration check to cast defensively before falling, because it doesn't make sense for him to cast the spell he does if he's going to take two attacks of opportunity anyways. If he fails, then Raynor and Meylara get attacks of opportunity as it falls past them. If he succeeds, then something else happens.

The Captain stabs the creature with his lance as it falls past him. The creature falls as gracefully as possible and takes the time to stand up and dust itself off. With a flick of its wrist it tosses a tumor at the Captain, which fails to hit. Seeing that it's out of luck at this point, the fiend begins weeping, tears flowing out of its multiple eyes. "Puh-puh-please...don't hurt me anymore...I will do anything you want...I don't want to die."

Wow, more rule gray area stuff. I've never seen "higher ground" applied to flying creatures attacking creatures on the ground. I think the operative word here would be "ground". And Raynor would be the first flying combatant to claim this bonus today. I'm ruling that it does not apply. Normally it wouldn't matter, but this is one of those rare cases where a +1 bonus does matter.
Other thing is that you need to move over half your speed to remain flying without a check. I believe Andor's move speed is 60, so he would need to move 35 feet or drop to the ground. We can resolve what you want to do after you decide what to do, but remember that this is a creature that can make multiple attacks of opportunity in a round and with some bad luck Andor could still get himself killed.
Meylara bites the creature when it falls, just barely getting it with her bite. The falling provokes, but not the spell casting because it did cast defensively. The acid once again rolls off its hide like water off a duck's back and the teeth do a little damage to the wounded beast. She manages to bite it again and attacks it with her wings. The bite rips away a little more flesh, but the one wing that hits the creature just bounces off its rubbery skin.
The monitor lizard scrambles through the slushy eyeballs to reach the fiend.
Can't reach the demon in a single move, even without difficult terrain.
Raynor stabs at the earthbound fiend, but his lance just barely missed the gibrileth.
Raynor's mount will need to move, fall, or make a Fly check DC 15 to hover.
Amazingly, the highly resilient demon has delayed the inevitable a few precious seconds. But Carina's summoned creature has just begun to materialize! Perhaps the Harrower's magic with be what delivers the killing blow to this fiend!
"Just leave me alone!" the creature blubbers, although its thrashing indicates that it intends to fight to the bitter end if its' surrender is not accepted.

Carina finishes calling the Bralani Azata, who arrives in a whirl of dust and wind. "That's our target!" she calls out, indicating the Gibrileth, as she sludges forward. The azata nods and turns, firing two wild shots at the demon, which fly off-course in the awful weather. Carina, for her part, gathers a mass of snow and ice from the air, and launchs it as well.

Well, it looks like your luck turned around, Carina.
Carina launches an ice cold ball of snow at the struggling demon. The snowball powers through the creature's spell resistance and its natural resistance to the cold, freezing the creature into completely solid ball of frozen flesh.
As soon as the creature is struck down, the grisly hail begins to slow and quickly stops. A ray of sunlight begins to peak out of the gray clouds, causing the frozen eyeballs on the ground to begin melting and turning it into a red slurry.
Meylara turns back into herself, bowing to the Monitor Lizard before sending it on it's way, then makes her way slowly over to Petal. She kneels down next to the limp body of the dinosaur and arranges her gently in a more comfortable sleeping position. She bows her head and rests her hand on Petal's shoulder, then quietly says Thank you, marvelous friend. I shan't find another like you.
She opens her eyes and stands, addressing the group. We shouldn't linger here. We likely have a brief respite as most local creatures would stay away from the demon while it was here, but with it gone, the local predators will move back in. Let us claim our trophies and be done with this.
She clicks her wrist sheath and pull out her wand of CLW and taps herself a few times.

Thank you Raynor. While death is a necessary part of life, I think pausing her finality would be acceptable. She will eventually be food, as will we all, but I suspect the scavengers and worms will have enough to feast on here already.

Being an amorphous blob of flesh, the creature does not have a discernable head. The best way to make a trophy out of the fiend is to clean out it's organs like one would do with a deer, then drain the pustules on its skin containing caustic pus. Once completed, the party has a huge leathery sack of skin that they can bring back to the the Red Winter camp. Perhaps they will be able to make a gristly suit of armor out of the flesh.
The party wraps up the slain dinosaur's body and they make there way out of the Worldwound. By the time the sun is setting they have made it back to their last campsite. After setting up camp they settle down for a well deserved rest.
In the morning, Andor wakes up in the worst pain of his life. His head is screaming in pain and his muscles are burning. Groaning, he struggles to his feet and looks down at Serang. The little flying fox is curled up in a ball, shivering and whimpering softly. Andor can sense that Serang is just as miserable as he is. They must have caught something during the fight with the Gibrileth!

Remove Disease is on the Druid List, so I can just prep a full list of just that in my 3rd(3) and 4th(2) level slots and cast it until the check is made.
