You can rebuild 1st-level characters, even those who have earned
Chronicle Sheets, using the rules in this appendix, so long as you
rebuild them before playing them at level 2. If you do so, make a
note on your most recent Chronicle Sheet to confirm the changes.Page 46:
CHARACTER REVISION
First-level characters may be rebuilt per the rules in Appendix
1: Character Creation. This is not a necessary step to completing
a Chronicle Sheet after an adventure, but a Chronicle Sheet is
required in order to confirm the changes.
Thanks for this, Gava. Rilynn is in desperate need of an offensive spell. Magic Missile was literally the difference maker in two of the combat scenes in this adventure.

Magic missiles at this level is well worth it. I am not sure it scales at higher levels, but guaranteed damage was very helpful here. Ironically this is the first time Lexicor was much of a factor. The foes were unique in that regard.

Given this character's concerns with Ehu as First Seeker, I think it is better to also change factions. I don't really know how to update a chronicle sheet since it's a pdf. Going forward, Rilynn will identify with the Dataphiles. (She is still 1st level).
Looking into this for confirmation.

Technomancers can swap spells only when they level up: "Every time you gain a level, you can swap out one spell you already know and learn a single new spell of the same level in its place." It's probably the same for all casters.
You can craft spell gems instead of scribing scrolls, but just buying them amounts to almost exactly the same as crafting them.
