OK, well I was laying in bed about to fall asleep and two masked figures with burlap sacks tied over their heads entered. They beat me so bad that I almost was knocked unconscious but I was able to barely escape and alert the guards. Unfortunately they had escaped by the time the guards got to my house. I had the doors barred for the night but found out that they ended up getting in through a window.

Yes I live alone and I laid down a bit after dark. Probably 10pm ish They had very ordinary clothes, I think male but couldn't tell race other than being humanoid about your height. Trying to describe humanish height and size They were not very strong because even with them outnumbering me I was able to get away. They used their bare hands and it looks like they opened the windows somehow but didn't find any tools. Nothing was left behind and nothing was taken. Yes you can look at the window I can show you. Nothing of my past would get me beat up I don't think and even if so they wouldn't know I am here. I am shocked because I have no idea what I would of done to anyone in town to do this to me.

Totally OK with skipping the guards if they don't have anything to add. I'll just chalk this up to more "bad things happened but there's no way for you to investigate it" crap we've been dealing with this entire AP. Short of tossing the whole compound looking for burlap sack masks I'm at a loss for how to pursue this.

I suppose I could give searching for tracks a go. I forgot I out some ranks in survival.

Eustice looks for signs of comings and going outside the window in question.

You talk to the guards and they don't give you any more information than Kereda gave you. Eustice does see that there are 2 sets of tracks that made their way in and out of the house through the window. You end up losing the tracks due to them mixing in with regular tracks in the road. The guards tell you that they will continue to look into the situation.

Aside from that there is not much else going around town and the scouts don't have anything new to report on. You do remember that you have the location of the sea hag Helekhterie and its not too far from the location you were last at with the gillman.

You can very easily meet up with the locathah tribe and hand over your items for selling and give them a list of things to pick up.

You all do your individual training or crafting or learning more about the the townfolk. After a couple days of doing your own thing waiting for your items, you hear that Kereda Harper recanted his story about the abduction. He said that he made up the attack so that he could garner support for the creation of the town wall.

Eustice hears rumors around town that some people are saying that they thing Ramona may have put pressure on Kereda and may have even been complicit in kidnapping.

I don't know. What if the rumor spreaders are the Illusionatti? Trying to cause distrust in the leadership, or possibly getting a revolt and one of them put in place. Maybe we should look into those that would be likely successors?

You guys go about your thing for the next two days and nothing exciting happens in the settlement. Then a member of the Locathah tribe drops off the things you ordered and whatever money was left over.

Updated Slide 1. Question is how are you going to get to the island in the middle of the lake? Are you just going to swim. Also would Mary be using the Cloak or the Armor to swim if you are.

Hmmm... none of the others seem to be concerned about Ramona's involvement in the kidnapping attempt. May neednto reconsider their trustworthiness.

Does the lake look deep? No boat mentioned so its either swim or come back when we can fly.

"Looks like we'll need to swim. I recommend we stay near the ruined land bridge. The water should be shallower there and less likely something can get is from the deep without warning."

Not entirely sure where the raft is but if the path the raft takes doesn't stick to the shallow end where the fallen bridge is, Eustice will be paranoid of attacks from the deep to ride instead of swim. If the raft will pass over the fallen bridge then Eustice will offer to push the raft and swim it.

Mary looks a little relieved when the boat is discovered. ”I am glad you found that. I could have used the cloak and followed you. But sometimes mundane is better. The last big building we explored had a few of the other colonists. With this, we can remove ant we find away.”

For the trip over, I will still keep the Cloak of Resistance. I have Air Bubble if Mary takes a small dip.


It is a raft so you could pull it into the water where you want and you could ride it close to the bridge to try to stay in the shallowest of the waters.


You are able to make it across the lake with the raft was no problem. You are able to pull the raft onto the beach a bit so it will not float away. You take in your surroundings and start to head towards the tower but you hear something from the water by the raft. Then you all hear something as you turn towards the direction of the raft and see a huge creature emerge from the water, snapping its pincers.

Mary Kay eyes the size of the creature and takes a BIG step back. Let's try the new ones. She waves her hands and a ripple in the air seems to wash over the creature. Then she makes a come-hither gesture at Atlan.
