I read an account of a game once who had a wizard with VERY bad scores, but they were all so new to the rules that the players hadn't realized that the wizard couldn't actually cast any spells. About the time they realized it, the wizard met an untimely demise. (As low-HP wizzies tend to do)
Whereupon the wizard's player had the familiar stand up and declare, 'Finally! It was impossible to teach him ANYTHING! NOW maybe I can get an actual, competent apprentice!' The player explained that the 'familiar' had been the actual caster all along. According to the story, everyone thought it was hysterical and ran with it.
Not that I would EVER do such a thing, of course.

AND I've been sucked into a weekend "USO" christmas show this week, (Not that I mind, but they are frustrated at how many rehearsals Im missing, but I TOLD them I could only promise the performance days! And that the rehearsals were iffy at best)

Well the 'Christmas USO' show that I got drug into is now over.
SO I am now back to my 'normal' insanity, and last-minute preparing for the holidays,..... :P
And,... there is another audition tomorrow.

I am losing student workers at a ridiculous rate, due to covid rules they refuse to follow, graduations, and some going to the Disney College program! :P

Sorry about the delays in posting - having a 4-year-old at home hasn't been doing wonders for my ability to take the time to post anything useful. (Nor has the ferrying the old cat to the vet repeatedly, but that's a whole other bit of unpleasantness). In any case, I imagine that I should be back to my usual posting schedule in the next day or so -- as much as work will be stupid this week, I'm sure I can find time over lunch or something.

I myself have returned mostly unscathed from visiting my family in Oklahoma.
AND I have to prepare for another swift trip, to drop off my daughter in Florida, where she will spend the next 8 months working for the rat.
(She got into the Disney College program) ;P
Add to that I am starting out the spring with an EXTREMELY short-staff of workers, (one of those is also goling to the Disney College program the following week) :)
Lucky her. In any non-pandemic year, that sounds like it would be made of awesome, Rags. Instead of merely being pretty darn cool.

The haversack would still be very useful for my carrying capacity (since I have so many tools).
Looks like we'll get approximately:
Costin: 4.2k gp
Eloen: 3.3k gp plus Handy Haversack
Fiona: 3.2k gp plus +1 agile breastplate and mw orc hornbow str +3
Lysander: 4.2k gp
Sahar: 4.2k gp
Merlan: 2.1k gp plus formula book, alchemy crafting kit, and moon blade
We have a few items to get valued yet, so the numbers will change. You can find them on the "Grand Total" line of the divvied loot page of the spreadsheet.
Once we've sold everything, we'll clear the All Loot, Pivot Table, and Divvied Loot pages. Party Items are the complete list, Agreement is the agreement history, and the rest aren't used to speak of.
If we buy a type 1 bag of holding for party items (and we have a LOT of party items), that's 2.5k/6 gp off the treasure. Type 2 is 5k/6 out of our shares.
Note 1: We didn't actually ID the handy haversack but assumed that's what a backpack radiating magic was.
Note 2: We still have a letter of credit for shops in Firrine worth 2456 gp (Lani spent out of the original 3k) for the original party members. We can spend it on party items if you want (healy sticks, etc) or count 1/5 of the remainder on your wealth (for Merlan, Fiona, Sandy, Sahar, and Xia).
Minor suggestion: hide the rows instead of deleting, just "in case"?
I think in general I'd prefer that we "split up" the party items among ourselves, but if that's too much for us to carry (quite possible) I'm not against getting a BoH. I'd probably go type 1 for teh cheepz.
I was thinking about duping the sheets and clearing one for new loot. We'd have the old one for a record dated with the sale date. I'd like to start fresh rather than keep 400 lines of stuff that's gone in my active sheet.
I'd also like to distribute potions, flasks, etc 1@ to everyone and only keep the spares in the party list. Then we can just decrement the numbers when we take one as a replacement.
We do have a storage locker, so we could put the party items in there when we're adventuring and restock from them instead of buying a bag of holding.

Now that is an outright falsehood. Maybe some cool people, sure, but they're probably exceptions to the real rule of cool folks.
Except the happy birthday wishes. That part's true. Fully supportive of that.
As you can probably tell, I am extremely frustrated at this point. I am having a nightmarishly difficult time because I feel like what I know is constantly changing, that any time I'm told something it's immediately invalidated, and I can't see on the map what everyone else is seeing. I can't see my character token on the map, the orcs are 50' from the edge, and suddenly I'm told they're 375' feet away. The DM says that Eloen should be placed on the map but I can't see my token anywhere. I have no idea what is going on and everything I do is always wrong.
If you would like me to quit because I am not competent to play, that is totally fine. I have not had this kind of trouble with any other game on the boards.
As the saying goes, "I feel like I am taking crazy pills."

To be honest, I LIKE the program, when it works for me, but I seem to have to restart it constantly (OK, not constantly, but a lot!) due to it locking up on me, not allowing me to move the map around to look, or move my token, etc.
Part of that IS probably operator error, but not ALL of it. :P
And I find the long-range start to the combat is more difficult, especially when I thought I had LONG range spells, and I only have medium range, hard to impress anyone with magical might when your too far away to do anything! (I guess 'Dodging and weaving like a flea on a hot brick' IS a valid survival strategy?)
I'm sorry you feel frustrated. I hope we can fix it.

I'm not sure what happened with Eloen's token. I did the Dance of Computer Appeasement, so maybe that was enough. Glad it worked before I moved on to the Human Sacrifice step.
