here's anderia
Sorry for the multiple post just been a long break since I have ran a PBP on here and am having to reteach myself a lot.

Both sound interesting. I guess it depends on what the starting story is.
Is one setting for PF1e or 5e, or is that going to be dependent on what you want to run/the players want to play?
And no worries. I'm just getting back into PbP myself.
I have never run but currently play (via discord) a 5e but I am very familiar with pathfinder 1e as I have gm'd it here pbp and also in real life. RL for about 15 yrs now total

Looks fun. If you want explorers, you might want to put in a story blurb like "Explorers wanted" and give a little background about who is sending in explorers... are they exploring a newly bought property for a nation, expanding territory due to overcrowding, researching the flora and fauna on a restricted continent set apart as an animal habitat, or if no one is sending them, then how did they get together/find each other... are they hunters looking for the lost caribou herds, or did they just arrive on the planet (chartered or shipwreck), etc. Give the players a general background that they can work with so they know the kind of character to build... rugged adventurer, scientific researcher, or whatever you are looking for.

if you were to join us, would you be more interested in 5E or pathfinder?

Here are some generic questions to think on. These are what most people ask. You may want to include them in your intro post when setting up the recruitment page. I also have some additional questions within there:
What inclination do the other already accepted players wish to play in? Metropolis or Foreign land?
How are you doing Stats? Point buy? If so, how many points? Roll?
How are you handling HP? Max for first then Average+1+con? or Roll?
What would be starting gold? Standard 3rd or a different amount?
What post rate do you expect? How strict? Do you bot people who are too slow?
Are you allowing all Paizo content with 3rd party content per request authorization? or no 3pp? Other restrictions? Variant Multiclassing? Psionics? Occult? Summoner class restrained to unchained?
Are you considering feat taxes?
Background Skills?

most of these can be seen under campaign tab.
And so far the leaning is towards pathfinder.

Aha! There is a bunch of stuff on the campaign tab, I didn't think to click on it at all.
If I may interest you in just one more tiny, little, alternative ruleset as well for Pathfinder; Innate Item Bonuses. I know it is a bit more work than usual but I love being able to use all the nifty and odd magic items that are typically taken by the "magical necessities".

I personally prefer the exploration option over the city option. Love the menagerie / exploring ruins / scouting a place for a new town ideas on the campaign info tab.
... Is this post becoming the official recruitment or is it still an interest check? Wondering if I should start building, or if we are waiting on a final ruling.

I like the idea behind the innate bonus but don't think I understand nor have time to learn it all. SO I won't be using it at this point. I will keep looking though and if I get to where I feel comfortable with it we can retroactively balance any magic items you have.
I love the use of magic items in ways that they aren't "intended" for.

I don't know how to turn this into an official recruitment but I'd say lets consider it that and go ahead and build for pathfiner.
BTW I use hero lab for my toons and will check all toons submitted with that program. just a note.

So are we going more for the exploration/settling a new town idea (the latter of which I think is an -awesome- idea and would love to play around with some of the Ultimate Campaign stuff for it) or what? I'd just like an idea so I can figure out what I'd want to make for it.
This, the exploring one has my attention

When you say you don't like "feat taxes" and won't be using them do you mean you'll be using elephant in the room rules or something else?
The response was to this

Herkymr the Silly wrote:2 feats if they classify as a campaign feat please run it by me but probably okCan you elaborate on this? You are saying we get 2 extra feats? Feats that might deal with this campaign? So jungle-related feats or something like that? Or do you mean story feats?
Pretty sure he meant traits on that one... it was added after I asked about traits, and campaign traits are specific to many of the APs.
_____
So, I do have a third party thing to run by you, GM. What about this:
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/ranger/archetypes/4-winds-fan tasy-gaming-ranger-archetypes/orisons
It's fairly simple. It trades ranger's favored terrain out for the ability to cast zero-level spells.
Not sure if that is even wise since we're going into a jungle, but it would be fun to try. :)

I tried the site and am having problems finding what you are referring to under 4 winds fantasy gaming. Can you put a link in the chat please to help out?

Here is the link for the orisons.
Sometimes if you copy-paste into the Paizo chat, it puts strange spaces in the url.

One thing I don't see in the campaign tab is Variant Multiclassing. Is that allowed?

That was the link to it, sorry that there was a space in it. Smooshie corrected it above. No worries though. I think I am going to drop out. I have several other games I'm working on right now, and it looks like you have more than enough interest to fill your three spots. No need for more competition. I wish you all well, and hope the game turns out to be as fun as it sounds. :)

Sorry to see you go.
I'd like to submit Warren Motter, a human Animal Speaker (Bard)
HP rolls: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 5) = 13
