Well, going to give this a try, play-by-post seems to be about my speed right now, since scheduling a 5-hour block some night is not happening in a house of little kids who constantly interrupt mom when she’s trying to play something...

Since today is the first day we were allowed to sign up, I would like to sign up with my new level 1 Human (Half-Elf) Rogue (Scoundrel), Althea Valentyn.

Never played 2e before, just got my core rulebook. I like the idea of PbP because it gives me more time to look up rules I'm not confident on yet.

Since there appears to be enough interest, I can run a second table of this :-)

If you are running a second game, I have a brand new level 1 that I can toss in. Still settling on an idea, but give me a timeline and I’ll be there.

Because she likes to make sure that recorded information is accurate, Sisya clarifies that she’s only part Human, she is also part Orc.

(If given a chance, she goes on to explain that she is unsure of the exact percentage of her human vs. orcish heritage, as she never knew her parents, but she has relatively small tusks, and only slightly green-tinged Vudrani-looking features, which implies a balance a bit more towards the human side).

Elluin has a fascination with how electricity behaves and can be used.

He splits his time between being an artist home-body and an adventurer - when he gets bored with one, he goes does the other for a decade or two until he gets bored with that. He probably gets bored more quickly with adventuring.

He carries a fair amount of inexpensive bronze and glass 'stuff' most of the time. Ideally, a bunch of the bronze stuff would useful with the Telekinetic Projectile cantrip - as I read the rules, I'd have to spend an action tossing whatever away from me, and then using the cantrip on it. It's all small abstract sculpture things.

His Alchemy is *highly* focused on healing / aid - and electricity.

I’m not the GM but:

Champions on the other hand are defensive masters. They can punish people who attack their allies, and have a host of different out-of-combat abilities and even a little healing.

Rangers are a bit of skill monkeys, but can also just do stupid amounts of damage with hunter’s target. I’ve seen two-weapon rangers go to town.

Monks have a great deal of versatility. You can build them as big muscle beatsticks or kung fu experts who are as elusive as the wind.

Dunno much about swashbucklers yet.

Swashbuckler's generally try to be really maneuverable. They want to use Acrobatics to Move-Through enemy squares or use a 'face' skill to trigger their Panche, which makes them even faster and lets them use deadly finishers.

They have a lot of 'shield' alternatives and at higher level want to attract attacks to themselves so they can punish those that miss.

If there were to be an opening on either table, I would like to fill that slot with one of my three new characters: Kobold Sorcerer, Tengu Swashbuckler, or Hobgoblin Fighter. All are L1 fresh from the scratchpad of my imagination.

If the tables are full, no worries at all. I play and run plenty of 2e, so I'm just volunteering to fill an empty slot is all.

Unfortunately I have to retire my application to this table. I wish you all a good game, have fun for me too.

I find myself with additional time after-all, and can get the character headers built before game-day tomorrow. If you have space on any table I would join up. (level 2 Goblin Ranger/Beastmaster [only one AC to worry about though]) If not that is fully understandable.

As we just lost a PC from table 1 and are down to 4, perhaps you'll be allowed to join us...
