Regarding this question on the signup form,

Quote:
Do you already have all the scenarios? (either from Venture Officer drops or subscribing to them)

Does this mean all the scenarios, or just the ones we're interested in GMing?

Are there any plans to add an RSS feed for folks who use other podcasting apps?

I'm sorry that my character is pretty much useless, y'all.

Henric steps up beside Krazza and claps him on the shoulder, saying, "It's a lot, isn't it? Don't sweat it too much. We've got your back."

I know staff is getting ready to add new pregens to the bundle already available.

I would like to request that someone please add in to Quinn's level 5 pregen sheet the missing 4 skill increases. As an investigator with the Skilled heritage and by level 5, he either has 1 expert skill and 4 more trained skills, or 5 expert skills, or some combination thereof.

Since the current pregen shows Quinn being only expert in Society, it is assumed that Society is the skill chosen for his heritage.

He has the Quiet Allies feat, so stealth needs to be one of his expert skills.

OMG, this idea is AMAZING!

Also, are there pathfinder rules for building a mech suit?

Here is a link to recruitment just in case anyone has missed it.

Regarding the voting, I'm sure that everyone would like to hear the results.

It was quite interesting to watch. I would observe the results 3 to 5 times a day because of how rapidly they would change. Every adventure path was in the lead at at least once during the voting period, and near the end it became a very close race between War for the Crown, Ironfang Invasion, and Hell's Rebels, but War for the Crown won out at 26 to 24 votes.

Not gonna throw my hat in the ring, both because I'm a late-comer, and because I'm listening to a WftC podcast. Definitely hope y'all have fun playing it! It's a blast to listen to.

If someone else decides to run an AP (whether Pathfinder or Starfinder), I'd love to get in on that.

Hi all,

I'm looking join a PbP game. Most of my experience is with 2e, but I'm open to 1e or Starfinder, as well. I'm already in a Fall of Plaguestone and an Age of Ashes game, so I can't do either of those.

Thanks!

Hm. I wonder what percent, historically, of subscribers' orders have been shipped after the street date. Ten? One? One tenth? I suspect it's closer to the last than the first. At some point as the percentage gets larger I would think that keeping the customers happy overrides concern about people gaming the system to get free pdfs and then cancelling their orders. Still, that's up to Paizo, both as to where the line is, and as to whether there's a line at all.
It's happened to me three or four times in the last two years and seems to be an issue that is becoming more common pre-Covid. I love this company and want to keep throwing my money at them to keep producing awesome stuff but I need it to make economic sense to me too. Just allow subscribers access to PDFs on street date at the very latest (and charge my card for my order if that's what's needed).

My personal opinion is cards should be charged, books sent out and PDFs released to everyone on, or a day or two before street date. That way people whose shipments are delayed (like mine usually as I have a lot of them and live in a far away country) still get PDFs early, but with less risk of people cancelling just to get the PDF. If all PDFs are released at once it makes it easier to keep track of on the back end.

But I can completely understand that this would be unpopular with some people as getting PDFs a week or two early would be a factor in why some people are subscribers

Based on the staff list at the back of Lost Omens Gods and Magic, there are only about four or five people working in the warehouse. They've been working nonstop for more than two weeks on sending out shipments. There is no way they could possibly ship everyone's orders in a span of two or three days. They didn't start shipping three weeks ago just for kicks; it was probably the only cost-effective way to get everyone's (or at least almost everyone's) books in the mail before street date.

Grace needs to extend both ways. I appreciate the work that CS and the Warehouse are doing but there should be something, in this case, to get pdf's a bit earlier to subscribers.

Grace builds upon and perfects nature :)

I agree with this. The benefits of subscribing for me are finely balanced given how much I end up paying in shipping to get books sent to the UK. My hard copies are now taking 6 weeks minimum to arrive so the benefits of subscribing are massively diminished if I could just buy the hard copy books separately from UK online retailers and the PDFs from Paizo and get everything earlier than if I had subscribed. Not added up whether the cost works out yet but pretty sure the figures are close.

We should get access to PDFs on street date or we are essentially providing Paizo with a guaranteed income stream for no actual benefit to ourselves.

A guaranteed income stream allows businesses to plan better, father in advance, which is in and of itself, a benefit to those of us who are big enough fans of Paizo's work to want to subscribe. Having said that, international shipping being what it is, I cannot imagine that I'd subscribe were our positions reversed.

The tracking link on my latest order (http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/PackageID.aspx?PID=REDACTED) is timing out when I click the link. If I manually change the url to https, it works, so it would be super helpful if you could update the order page so it automatically goes to the secure url.

Semi-related but I haven't been able to use the link in the order to track my order. The http://www.ups-mi.net/ website times out.

Just got my shipping email and had the same problem. Try changing the url from http to https and see if that works.

However, I do not buy that reason. It not like they did not know that thisnwas going to be a possability in March or May. These are rookie mistakes being made.

That's not really a fair assumption, unless you think that the printed books arrived in the warehouse in March or May. Production and shipping everywhere have been slowed by the pandemic, and it's not all that easy to determine the degree to which distancing measures will slow down a process until you're in the middle of it.

Y'all realize that even if they had more people/less orders there's always gonna be someone who go their order last, right?

In the broader context of human experience, sure, but orders are going to keep rolling in, to be fulfilled on a rolling basis. I doubt they very often have no orders in the queue, which means functionally speaking, there's always someone who's next.

I simply don't like that some subscribers have the pdf, and others do not. The physical book being late is fine with me - they are mostly shelf decoration to me - the content is what I purchased, and that I'd expect to be fulfilled when the order enters my cart - not at some arbitrary date when the order ships.

It would certainly be upsetting if come the 30th, any non-subscriber can go onto the site, purchase the pdf, and have it immediately - while subscribers have to wait until their particular order ships.

It's certainly a distinct possibility at this point, and it's not one I'm pleased with. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Paizo is in a position to change it. I'd love to demand that they roster on a bajillion more pick-packers at their warehouse, but that's just not realistic.

One of the folks I game with noticed that they had a warehouse job listed on their careers page a week or two ago. It's not there anymore, so we can hope that they'll have increased capacity in the near future. I don't imagine they have a mesmerist on staff to streamline onboarding and training, though.

Nah it's randomized bc mines early in alphabet lol

That's reassuring, even if THIS was the only book I was really, really looking forward to.

OK, who am I kidding? We've got Ancestry Guide and (I hope) City of Lost Omens coming out next year. My subscription isn't likely going anywhere.
