Not sure how others do it. I just put it on my CS, the profile page, (yep. Change the first one.) and use the strike through formatting when I use it. Click on the How to Format your text below the text box here, but strike through uses a [ s ] before the text and [ /s ] after. Remove the spaces of course so that doesn't show. :-)

By now it is late autumn 4719 AR. The weather has become much more bearable copared to your adventures on the shiv so the daily high is only as hot as a warm summer day and the daily rainfall has mostly stopped.

Thanks Lemming! :)
Seems you can't add additional posts to the Profile page, just change the first one(?)
Is there a shared space were we keep track of daily specifics (e.g. which spells have been prepared and used), or is it up to each player to keep track privately? Can we use the Info Folder?
I leave these kinds of things mostly to the player. Please post your typical spell load in advance and from time to time, when the group enters a dungeon, so that I have sometzhing to check against, when I feel like it.
Apart from that you can use any method you want.Adjusting the profile page keeps everything nicely in one place, but is a bit of a pain to edit.
Keeping your own document in the info folder or somewhere else in the cloud is also fine, just leave a link in your profile pae, that I can find it when necessary.
And Lastly the Info folder was meant for you to use in whichever way you like it. I will only update the map Powerpoint with new maps and NPC descriptions, but I will also clean this one out from time to time.
There was a word document meant for keeping a logbook, but it never took off so I basically let it die. If you want to revive this, its fine with me, but I see this mostly as a player task, and will only add things when prompted to do so.
I also believe the real Treasure Sheet is somewhere where Shalissa can administer it more easily (LInk is in the campaign header) so the one in the info folder is obsolete. (@ Shalissa, if this is correct please confirm, then I will delete the old one.)

Yes, I keep updated the treasure in a google sheet on my drive, it is just easier for me to share the same format on the multiple loot documents I maintain. Link is in Shalissa's header.

In my case I usually just track daily resources in the status bar of the alias (which you can edit on Profile). But for prepared casters like Shalissa I prefer to maintain the sheet in an external online document as it is easier to edit and change spells daily, and maintain links there.
Every level I do copy the updated doc into Shalissa's profile for easiness of checking, but I maintain a link in her header and the GM has access to it just to make sure things are ok.
Also I do post daily spell allotment in Gameplay, both for transparency and logging reasons.
You are very much welcome! I am a Spaniard on his forties, played AD&D during High School and University and after a long hiatus started with 3rd edition and quickly jumped into Pathfinder. I have been in the boards here since 2014 and only last year I started to complete my first Adventure Path games. It has been a long but fun and fulfilling run :)
As for Shalissa, she is very much a scholar with interest in everything that has to do with Azlant (sent on a mission from the elves of the Mordant Spire). When I made her she was the only caster and so she is build to provide healing and general magic support with a specialized theme on lightning blasting (her deity is Gozreh, god of raw nature that can both provide and be harsh).
I like to think on her as a cross between a Druid and a Wizard scholar with channel energy instead of wild shape.

I’ve uploaded Neethan’s use of magic etc to the info folder instead. I’ll keep a local record and update after each encounter or rest.
He’ll have to do some action first to earn a level-up, so I’ll catch you later.
@Shalissa: Good! Neethan is a scholar also, so let’s help or aid each other in those Knowledge checks.
He’s an evoker too. Not sure if we can share magic knowledge (arcane vs divine spells), but there might be a situation for a cross-over.

This is my early warning that I'll be leaving on Wed 16 March for a long, international vacation that will have me completely disconnected until 28 March. Most likely, I won't be able to post at all. If I do find myself in a position to post, it will be without a keyboard; the best I'd be able to offer is to guide the botting of Father Kerndrew from the discussion thread; I don't do well with the forum formatting tags from my phone.
I'll post another reminder on 16 March when I leave.

I am not quite sure what you mean with the trap idea, but if somebody can describe something to me I am game.
I am also game with you waiting anywhere else if you want unless its in the middle of all htose other huts.
Also I might not made that clear yet, this is a large creature.
Shalissa |
My trap idea was to be positioned for the attack, and perhaps have a wire installed in the door to make the creature prone. We may improvise something similar to this with a rope?

That would be no problem.

If we failed the "Drunk-test", we're just slightly sickened with a -1 penalty. Shalissa is using -2 (?) Am I just missing something?
You have interpreted this correctly, but Shalissa is folowing her Roleplaying and assuming that she is much more drunk than I assumed. I am fine with her being Reduced to slightly sickened, by the sight of that horrifying creature if she feels like it.
Shalissa |
Oh, sorry, I just took the standard penalty as I did forget it is "slightly" sickened only :D
GM Kulko |
I am waiting for somebody to reply to Neethans post and also for a more definite indication whether to fight or avoid the Ankhegs.
Shalissa |
Sorry, I am on a holidays trip for the week and my posting time and means are limited. If you could take decisions and push forward without counting too much on me it would be great. Next week I will be back to normal.

I know, but with lots of work in my job, and seemingly everybody else but Neethan is also afk so I decided to just wait until somebody comes back. But I will setup the ankhegs on the weekend no matter what.

Hi all; I suffered a sever broken leg while on vacation. I'm not going to be able to sit at a computer for any extended period of time for the foreseeable future, and I'm just not good at posting from mobile devices. I'm afraid that as of now I'm going to have to take an indefinite hiatus.

That is terrible Kerndrew. I hope you can fully recover even if it takes a long time. Once I got a hit in the back and had me two months at home.
I am back from my trip, fortunately everything went good.
Neethan Levandri |
Ghost Sound creates a real sound even if it's from a fake source, so it should trigger vibrations in the ground if close enough, e.g. for tremorsense to catch.
GM Kulko |
Have non-melee types ready missile weapons? I'll keep my daggers ready.
Not sure what the exact question is. I assume all Crossbows are loaded and all arrows are nocked, but not drawn.
When the Ankheg appears (Post almost done) we will roll initiative and whoever wins gets to act first. Readying an attack (and fire directly on arrival) for multiple minutes/rounds waiting for the beast to appear is unrealistic so I won't alllow that.Davor Krill |
No question and exactly right. Crossbows ready and arrows knocked is all I meant. Davor will have his magic dagger in his off hand, and a non-magical one ready to throw. Only useful if the thing comes to surface close enough, but dropping it is a free action.
Shalissa |
In fact readying an action does not have much sense if there is no initiative rolled still. I thought there was a specific call in the rules that you cannot ready an action out of combat, but I could not find it.
The section though talks about combat rounds all through its text.
GM Kulko |
@Neethan: In PBF Posting order defines action order for players unless you specify waiting explicitely.
For this fight its fine to decide yopu acted after everybody else.
Shalissa |
As Davor, I am also having problems to activate the edit mode of the map. I had to log in with my professional account for it to work, which is unfortunate because I usually can just edit it in a private window.

Okay I will have a look at it, maybe the Sharing request was running out.
BTW, If you keep rolling like that I will have to put the game on hiatus until Kerndrew returns.
But really, I will be on Holiday from Saturday until next Monday, and probably not post that much, depending on the weather.
PS: I share the file again, and updated the link to be sure. Does it work now?
Neethan Levandri |
I guess, I've been signed in with my private account too.
When "Signed out", I can make changes using the "Edit in Browser" option.
(I guess that means that anyone who has the link can make changes, or?)

Yes, it works now! Thanks for looking at it Kulko! :D

Just read the rules. Escape is my standard action so I can't attack.... 5' step (left to D1) to get out of the way of any attackers moving in?
Shalissa had just the right spell for you. she allowed you to make an immediate Attempt to escape, so when your turn starts you are already free and can attack.
Davor Krill |
Wow! That's a really great spell then! I thought it was just the spell that was immediate but just read it, carefully this time.
Thanks!
Shalissa |

Yes, Davor had an extra attempt thanks to the spell, very handy, I took it specifically for the ankheg's :)
It is not as good for people who does not train Escape Artist or have poor Dex, but it works great for Davor.
Thanks for the clarification Kulko!

[dice=Survival I think mine is an aid? +6?]1d20 +6
With Gregor for now out of the party you are the most qualified PC left. You get a failed aid from Shalissa and an automatic aid from Nkechi for aan 18 but thats not enough. BTW did you already choose whatever you wanted to get a favored terrain, or is this still just a plan for character development?
Davor Krill |
So my +6 is highest? Not great at our level....
As a rogue Talent, yes. I forgot to add the +2 for that, but that's still too low.
- Terrain Mastery: Jungle (Ex) (Pathfinder Unchained pg. 22):
+2 bonus on initiative checks and Knowledge (geography), Perception, Stealth, and Survival skill checks when in this terrain.

Well currently you are in Plains territory, so no bonus anyway.
As for the skill, You lost your ranger, but have currently 2 well versed NPCs to give aid checks, so that should malke up for it.

I think so, the GM just put Kerndrew in the init of this combat.
And welcome back! It is good to know you are healing well! :D
Neethan Levandri |
The Table 7-7 of the Core Rulebook says “Additional Movement Cost”: x2 for Difficult Terrain, but is that really “additional” as in 1 square + 2 squares additional? I guess it means the cost is just doubled, right?
BTW: Would the Know Religion = 12 be enough to know that Plague Zombies can be hit easier? ( “Defensive Abilities: A plague zombie does not gain DR 5/slashing.”)
Shalissa |

Cost is doubled, you can find further clarification on difficult terrain on the movement section of the Combat chapter.
