Well, good news on the COVID, then, but sorry you're still not well! Hoping for a speedy recovery :=)

It's horrible timing with Jonathon's whole love of Ameiko that right before we rush off to be her knights in shining armor he has to step out. Now she'll end up falling for Dolgrin instead ;=)
I was actually having some trouble with it. Ameiko doesn't seem like the type of girl who values expensive jewelry nor traditional acts of chivalry, although saving one's life is always heart melting. I'm not saying I like that Jonathan had to leave the game, but it does remove a lot of pressure on me.
Also, Dart, while it's not wrong to RP in any way you like, I wonder if you realize that Poppy is not actually a child, just a gnome. In fact, she might be older than Dart. Now, it could be something that your character doesn't realize, but I just want to make sure you - the player - realize that (and Poppy may react to it any way she feels it's right).

Well, her non-stereotypical nature could have opened some fun RP and I don't doubt you and Jonathon would have had fun with it regardless of how it played out.
And yes, I know Poppy isn't necessarily a child, but she has a child-like nature and Dart is an absolute sucker for kids and is drawn to that in a nurturer sort of way.

Hi all, Poppy is more naive as she hasn't really seen a lot of the world.
She is older but she is really young at heart.
As for Spot. Spot will accompany Poppy on trips outside the town. as Spot is actually a combat trained mount for her.
eventually Spot will be an actual animal companion (I found a feat tree that allows that)

Coming back online. Thanks for your patience.

Guys, I am just beat to hell... not sure if it's a relapse of my earlier flu which wiped me out then or a new strain of crap.
I just need a few more days is all I ask for now.
Will try to post but if I'm silent you know why.

Oh, absolutely! Take the time you need to get better.

Izumi Shinano |

Nope buuuut we'll see after tomorrow. Got some time off

Izumi Shinano |

I am about to take 4-5 days off work. I'll get things back on track.

Dolgrin Stonecaller |

I think, a party of first level clerics does have a hard time in paizo AP combats. If one of us were a strength focused half-orc we'd be much better off.
But we'll manage in the long run.

![]() |

Yeah, the fights are, for sure, a challenge. Not an unmanageable challenge, though. Not yet anyway :=) A 15 point buy and a party of 4 with only clerics should feel like a challenge, so I think we all knew what we were walking in to.

Izumi Shinano |

I think I knew what we were getting... I'm enjoying it. My activity or recent lack is due to work/life issues but things are improving

@Dart, so with 10 Con, you actually drop as you get to -1, no? Or am I missing something?
I must have misunderstood the wounds thing then. I thought you stayed up but took penalties when you went negative, but I maybe had that wrong.

Dolgrin Stonecaller |

Healthy
A character above her grazed threshold (3/4 of her maximum hit points) is healthy, applying no special modifiers. The character doesn’t gain a condition in this state.Grazed
A character above her wounded threshold (1/2 of her maximum hit points) but at or below 3/4 of her maximum hit points is grazed. She takes a –1 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level.Wounded
A character above her critical threshold (1/4 of her maximum hit points) but at or below 1/2 of her maximum hit points is wounded. She takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level.Critical
A character at or below 1/4 of her maximum hit points is in critical condition. She takes a –3 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level.Disabled
A character with a Constitution score of 12 or higher who is at or below 0 hit points is disabled until she falls below a number of hit points equal to the negative of her Constitution modifier. For example, a character with a Constitution score of 18 would be disabled from 0 to –4 hit points and unconscious at –5 hit points. A character with a Constitution score of 11 or lower is disabled only while she has exactly 0 hit points.Staggered
Instead of being staggered only when their amount of nonlethal damage equals their remaining hit points, characters using this system continue to be staggered from that point until their nonlethal damage exceeds their current hit points by an amount greater than their Constitution bonus, at which point they fall unconscious. A character with a Constitution score of 11 or lower is staggered only when her nonlethal damage exactly equals her current hit point total.

Thanks, Dolgrin. I'd gotten the disabled step jumbled in my head and was thinking it was baseline 10, not 12.

I'd kind of been wondering about that too, if I'm being honest. I like Poppy and I think she's a fun character, but we can't put the game on hold for several days at a time repeatedly and expect to ever finish this adventure path...or at least hit second level.
I'd say maybe shoot a friendly PM their direction and if you don't hear back in X number of days, we'll look to recruit to fill that spot?
I don't know, those are just my thoughts, but I'll be on board with however the group as a whole wants to roll with this.

Izumi Shinano |

Replace at the next convientently story appropriate juncture.
She can always be shoe horned back.

Poppy Pomegranate |

Hello all, I am really sorry about the silence. things have been really busy with work. I am getting back to a normal schedule until Thanksgiving time.
in any event. I will be catching up to see what and where I am needed at.

Poppy Pomegranate |

@ GM Anthorg... How much of my Zap did you use and what spells... I will go through at try to figure it out but If you already have the totals handy that would be helpful.

Welcome back, Poppy!

GM Anthorg - RotR |

Yay! The party just leveled up!
When leveling up, please remember the spells and feats restriction, available in the Campaign info tab.
Hit Points: At level 2 you each, individually, make a choice about your hit die (d8 for clerics). You either gain half the maximum plus 1 (5 for clerics) or you roll a d8 and re-roll in case of 1 indefinitely, meaning if you get a 1 on the re-roll, you do it again until you do not roll a 1. In this website, you can equivalently roll 1d7+1. This choice cannot be changed in the future. When leveling up after level 2, please link the choice you have made at level 2. You also cannot at level 2 roll first, then choose.
Also, if you were not full HP when leveling up, your maximum increases, but your current HP increases at the same proportion as the maximum, rounding up. Example: If you were 29/50 HP and you gain 10 maximum HP, your new situation would be 35/60, i.e., a 20% increase in this case.
As for spell slots and other daily resources, you only get the new ones after resting for 8 hours. Everything else is immediately available.
I will put a link to this post on the campaign header.

+1 BAB, Fort, and Will
I was going to take average, but Dolgrin just made rolling seem so exciting, so what the heck? I'm in!
Hit Points: 1d7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Adventuring Skills: Knowledge History, Perception
Background Skills: Linguistics, Perform Acting

Poppy Pomegranate |

Ok level 2 stuff:

Straight 5hp plus 2 for me
Would linguistics 1 (Tien) count as Lore? Or just the language without the ability to do the linguistic skill stuff?
Not sure on spells... standby

Dolgrin Stonecaller |

since this is a Cleric-centric game, it would be very nice of you to allow Inner Sea Gods. Thus we can all cast our deity-specific spells, creating a little more diversity.

Dolgrin Stonecaller |

Great, thank you. Torag especially has some interesting level 1 spells, namely Fallback Strategy and Hairline Fractures.
