Hello dear players! Welcome to our Rise of the Runelords game, where everyone is a cleric. If you die, it won't be from the lack of healing. Let us start with introductions! Opening post will probably happen on Saturday or tomorrow evening.

If anybody wants to make minor changes to their characters, such as feats, domains and prepared spells, this is the time. After game starts, you won't be able to.

Please take a look at the Campaign info tab for some basic ground rules.

Note that there is some blood, gore and minor animal cruelty in the game. If there is anything that you are not comfortable with, let me know and I'll adjust.

The blue-haired Half-Elf had his eyes closed as he sat on the wagon, thankful that he'd been able to catch a ride with a merchant for at least part of the trip to Sandpoint.

Feeling the light wind on his face and the sounds of nature around him, he focused. He tried to drown out all that ridiculous nature stuff and just focus on her.

His goddess.

Shelyn.

He'd been told she sometimes appeared as a muse to her faithful. Gods how Dart wanted to be chosen! He wanted to see her. Not like the statues at the temple bac in Absalom, but really see her!

After a while, he opened his eyes and sighed. She blessed him with divine powers, but that was as much manifestation as it seemed he'd get at this point.

"Nevertheless..." he said dramatically and barely audibly as he believed in his heart that if he could become the most famous actor of his generation, surely then she would appear.

That's what was bringing him to Sandpoint, the call of the theater, which was, perhaps, the quiet summons of his goddess.

Not certain if that's what you meant by "introductions," but it was fun to write :=)

Well here is Poppy alias but NOT the character profile. I cannot edit the profile from my phone. Will have to update later on my laptop.

Also I applied to another rise of the runelords game with a different character. Not sure if I should withdraw or not. I really want to keep my game commitment very low

Btw I am referring to withdrawing from the other game not this one

Ok, glad to see everyone here and ready to roll. Later today I'll review the sheets. Please make sure sheets are correct. I've also updated the Campaign Info tab, so take a peek.

@Izumi: if you haven't already, please add to your sheet exactly what the obedience requires you to do and the benefits gained. I have tried to keep the Divine Paragons at each table to a minimum. I feel they are hard to deal with as a GM and I'll have enough work as it is.

Will do later today.., I have the source materials but broadly it's an hour of sword exercises and mediation (Katana Taichi ) each morning.

That said? I'll live by the goddesses Paladin code as well.

Faiths of Golarion says:

Clerics of Shizuru can prepare color spray as a 1st-level spell, scorching ray as a 2nd-level spell, unbearable brightnessACG as a 4th-level spell, and prismatic spray as a 7th–level spell.

But I'm pretty sure that's pushing my luck...

Okay profile is updated with spoiler areas for devotion PLUS a lot of supplementary information on being a priest of the Goddess.

Hold me to these standards as you hold a paladin. That's part of the reason I submitted this character, this is the RP I am looking forward to.

I'll blow some starting cash on Ceremonial Silk armor as vestments and golden headband etc.

I am thinking that Poppy has been in Sandpoint now for a few days now so she will already have a pretty good idea of that "lay of the land" and maybe already know a few people in the town.

Also I thought of one small modification to her back story. instead of her mother staying behind in Whistledown. I think it would make sense that she would have traveled to Sandpoint as well.

She would have survived the goblin attack and is in mourning. Being motherly, she is always fearful for Poppy, worrying about getting eaten by goblins and such.

thought this would make for some interesting role play opportunities

Thanks Izumi. Now, for headers, I just ask that you keep ac, hp, perception, init, saves and active conditions. If you would like to add anything else, feel free to.

Gameplay tab is up. Please situate yourselves in town.

I marked off a gold piece for the generous tip Dart gave Aneka, should we also be marking off for our stay the previous night at the inn, or are you just hand-waving that as it's such a small and negligible amount? I'm fine with either, just want to make sure I'm doing the math as we go, if need be, rather than trying to backtrack and adjust whenever some shopping occurs.

Keep the tabs for now, please.

Ok, and I wrote it as Dart having his own room, so that's the "good accommodations" version, so 2 gp.

For anyone who needs the costs for inns, 5 sp for a mat by the hearth, 1 gp for a cot (with blanket and pillow) in a common room, and 2 gp for your own room with a bed and chamber pot. Of course, for those of you who already live in town, no need for any of those :=)

Rusty Dragon actually has different pricing. It's 5sp for a single bed room, 2gp for a luxury room and 1cp for a place in the common room. =)

He apparently paid luxury price for only a good-tier room. Poor guy. The room is irrelevant, realistically, just as long as I'm keeping track of the coins, I'd imagine, and Dart probably assumes any room he is given is the nicest the inn has since he's a star in his own mind :=)

Best of luck with the roof. Hope it is fixed quickly, cheaply, and with minimal impact on the rest of the home!

Echoing Anthorg, take your time. From what I'm seeing, it looks like the rest of us are having fun doing social roleplay and can easily fill some time with that until you get back.

EDIT: Well, looks like you're already back, so hope all went well then. Glad to have our favorite piggy-tailed tiny Thor back ;=)

Quote:

Draw or Sheathe a Weapon

Drawing a weapon so that you can use it in combat, or putting it away so that you have a free hand, requires a move action. This action also applies to weapon-like objects carried in easy reach, such as wands. If your weapon or weapon-like object is stored in a pack or otherwise out of easy reach, treat this action as retrieving a stored item.

If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you may draw a weapon as a free action combined with a regular move.

sadly not. we'll have to wait for that skill for one more level.

Feel better, Izumi.

And yes, that +1 requirement is a bummer, but that makes level 2 that more exciting for you guys XD
(not being sarcastic. It's just that I usually don't make full BAB characters).

Thank you for bringing this discussion to my attention, Dolgrin. I believe you are correct, and Inspire Courage should, indeed, provide bonus damage to your ranged touch attacks that deal hit point damage. I'm sorry for the confusion.
